  1. I'd love that too. I wish Lego made capes with more substance to it, ie ones that cover more than just the back. I'm thinking something similar to Invisibility Cloak from CMF, but with a bit of open space for hands
  2. What would really be the best is the old pink, a bit lighter in tone and not as vibrant
  3. Yes, that is a really nice surprise. Fantastic, although weirdly specific piece, wonder how long it'll stay exclusive to this set, what other uses it may have. I'm loving this, the previous photos made the pink look over saturated, but on those official renders it looks alright. And given how, as pointed out eariler, it's a movie accurate representation of a row of shops (plus WWW), I take back my previous criticism, The set looks gorgeous from both sides. The only gripe I may have is that spiderweb inside DP office, although I probably won't mind it once I build it. The minifigs... still don't feel like they belong in a 400$ set. I expected a few repeats, mainly Hagrid and young Ron and Hermione, but the ones that are supposed to be exclusive are partially done with generic pieces. Not to mention the fact that the trio all use the same torso is just cheap. It's riddiculus that the best looking one is Fortescue, who I didn't even know had a (very short) screen time before he leaked.
  4. So what the hell is building the QR code supposed to be for? They gave us a whole week to build it, how nice of them, but what it will give if the reveal is going to be on the same day?
  5. it could be revealed on 31st (still monday, aka next week) and available for purchase next day. Knowing Lego it's a viable, albeit terrible option
  6. I do agree, the old head is still good and it would be fine if they reused it, but I also like and appreciate the new one. Ollivander seemed to be genuinely excited to have Harry as a customer (and did show a restrained smile) so the print fits, fixed sideburns are a nice bonus. Not sure if new torso was necessary though, the print is marginally different. If it really is reddish brown like the previous one (there is a chance it's dark red, it's a little different from the twins' suits which are definitely reddish brown) then it was rather pointless. Probably not an original idea but is anyone else thinking of using the new mosaic frames to display the minifigs? It's not exactly the cheapest option, but I like how customisable they are, you can do 32x32, 48x48, 16x96 and so on. Hopefully their price on BL will drop with time, I don't really want to buy the whole set (read I don't want 3000 studs which I will never use )
  7. Not sure if it's common knowledge, I mighthave missed it among the billion replies since the leak, but someone on IG has pointed out Ollivander in the DA set is different from the GWP after all. Torso looks to be dark red, his face has a slight smile and it kinda seems like they fixed the sideburns and extended them to the hairline.
  8. If you take into account canonical events, it's the opposite, it's just that the "main" advertised figure was the fake one. It just depends how you want to look at it.
  9. This idea is way too good to ever come to pass. If it were to be completely random, nameless witches and wizards, all of them would need a new torso, so as not to confuse them with the named characters. Maybe a few children would use their school uniforms, but they could only include so many of them.
  10. Guys I got it, Daily Prophet is out of business because they kept printing the same issue instead of covering more timely news. The photographer is delusional in thinking an article about a new book will put the paper back on the market For now, without seeing HD pictures, F&B paired with Fortescue's, Ollivander is close second. I'm surprised WWW looks this good, being all lavender and orange. QQS, I don't know what to think. ground floor is excellent, the above is... so annoyingly pink
  11. My bad, I assumed she was wearing Gryffindor robes in F&B scene The build looks fabulous but I don't love it, the pink of QQS is a bit jarring, especially with how flat the top floor is compared to other shops. The interiors look fantastic though.
  12. It never seemed to have bothered Lego for short people to have regular legs. The exception is characters portrayed by actors with dwarfism like prof. Flitwick, but the general rule is "adult character - regular legs" As for Ginny, that's her outfit in PS and in CoS The first one kinda matches, but not really.
  13. FFS, is that "The boy who lived" Daily Prophet print again? I know that's a minor detail, but it's bugging me to no end that they keep reusing it since 2018. Do my eyes deceive me or does the photographer have short legs? If yes, why? What scene is this Ginny from? With short legs she should have Gryffindor robes as well. Lack of PS Harry is weird, but the theory there's a second row is definitely valid. Although that leaves a question, how many minifigures we're not seeing? Argh, the suspense is unbearable! Why didn't they take more photos?
  14. That's bloody brilliant! Can't decide if the best part is Quirrell being a drama queen (resolving the plot himself BTW) or Hermione casually murdering Neville and oh-so nonchalantly spinning her gun The very first second in this clip, there's a DP sign. As for Scribbulus, maybe it's not onscreen in the final edit, but I'm sure it's been built as part of the movie set. Its existence in WB studio tour and Universl Orlando didn't come from nowhere
  15. I don't mind Lego having official reveals when there were already leaks both online and in stores. We on the internet waiting for those leaks are a minority, but we act like literally everyone on the whole planet have seen them But at least they could tease the DA, along the lines of "something else is coming, stay tuned". I'll never understand the reasoning behind Lego's reveals, sometimes they happen a month, sometimes a day before a set hits the shelves, sometimes with, sometimes without teasers. Have some consistency!
  16. I have a "brilliant" idea for a medium sized 18+ set, akin to Bespin Duel: The Tale of Three Brothers. Focusing on the bridge part, not the brothers dying one by one, of course Basically a bit of a scenery, the bridge (maybe with a function of it being "created") and brick built Death figure. It would likely reuse the Deathly Hallows peces which should appear in the next wave.
  17. oorrrrr... I DID MY WAITING! 12 YEARS OF IT! IN AZKABAN!
  18. If there's no Second Task, what is second sleeping Gabrielle face for? In short, there's no way to know, could be that the set/part of a set was scrapped, could be because Lego wanted us to have these options if they still had a budget to print a new face instead of reusing one. Man, the wait is killing me. Not that I'm gonna buy it day one, I need a meter long shelf first. I almost placed an orded with minifiguremadness, but decided to wait and use some of my VIP points for a bigger discount on S@H (I could even get it for free if I wanted to )
  19. A hell of a leak dropped while I was sleeping. 1 meter long, that's insane! 5544 pieces, madness! No Gringotts - preposterous. I initially thought they were trying to recreate a selected section of Diagon Alley as seen in WB Studio, complete row of shops from Ollivander's to WWW, but nope, QQS is opposite the Weasley's shop. Makes the exclusion of more prominent places even more perplexing.
  20. I thought you were joking about the scythe, but gosh, have they lost their mind? How is a scythe better? What kind of a hunter hunts rabbits (or anything) with a scythe?
  21. Brunhilda from What's opera, doc please! And viking Elmer to pair, nice way around giving him a rifle. Also wouldn't mind matador Bugs, definitely my favourite LT cartoon. Speaking of, Bugs' many women disguises would fill the "female characters quota" no problem
  22. As much as I'm curious to see what becomes of SJ2, I'd rather they stick to the classics. That being said I would be *very* happy to see the Mask minifig (and Jim Carrey is reported to have a cameo in SJ2)
  23. Tweety should be with Sylvester. the ones you mentioned, Witch Hazel, Foghorn, Wile E. Coyote (Road Runner likely as an accessory, he wouldn't work as a minifig), those are safe bets. Speedy has a very good chance, but he'd be an odd one out due to his size - I mean I'd love to get him but I'd also like the figures to be more or less to scale. Pepe has a smaller chance due to his,,, predatory nature, but he's still very recognizable. I'd also add Mugsy, Rocky, Granny, Cecil Turtle. If small characters like Speedy can be done, I'd also like to get Sniffles and Egghead Jr
  24. Just saw it on IG, too, and ooooh boy, I'm pumped if this is true! The chance they'll use custom molds (where necessary) is very high I believe, so fingers crossed They could also take those round stands (the one Frozone had) ant print the Looney Tunes circles on them, that would be neat
  25. Here's a general, poorly sketched idea how I think it could look like I'm aware it's not accurate, but I think it's a relatively good guess given we're getting 8 locations (9 with unconfirmed Gringotts) out of about 20 that are named in the books. Also it works quite well as an upscaled version of the GWP. 3 points: I don't think the set will be "modular building" deep, could be even half of that, and it will definitely have open back. brick entrance in the middle could be where the set splits in half, so that you can display it three ways - like above, store fronts facing each other or back to back Leaky Cauldron will very likely not have a front, makes sense as it is in the muggle world, but still a bit of a bummer. Another thing, I and a few others have pointed out the interiors may not be representative of what's in front, meaning some of the shops could have limited, if any, space inside. But I'm fine with the Leaky Cauldron taking up space of less recognisable shops. I mean, DAE gives a damn about Scribbulus? It shoul've been Owl Emporium or Magical Menagerie instead.
