Hello, I am currently in the process of collecting parts for it, I've managed to get the bulk of it through some luck but still missing around 2k parts. I'd suggest you look for shops with the more rare parts that are cheap and start off with those, but do note that all the dark bluish gray parts can be any colour, and some lbg plates and stuff on the inside could be a different colour too. That should cut the costs down significantly. Hope this helps.

No, I haven't yet. Still need to work out how to build the other half of the ship :P In the end I'll try to make all the colours available though Heres an update

Your best bet is probably to use some sort of mechanism similar to Jerac's X wing

Looks good! I like how you did the wings. For custom clone pilots I'd recommend AVfigures, they have a really cool clone pilot helmet

Yeah I'd definitely like to build it irl! Problem is some of the dark blue parts don't exist so it could be a problem in the future.

Picked it back up! Here's an update, it's around twice the length of the lego set :)

Thanks! Most of the parts in this build went in the inside of the top, had to use a lot of hinges and stuff to get the curve. The reason the lego set used so much fewer parts is because they just threw in some big wedge bricks to make all the angles.

Thanks! I see it's a bit bigger than minifig scale so I might change the parts around a bit, hopefully I can make it shorter.
