  1. My only question is what an npc faction is supposed to do with those doubloons? or does Oleon try to fight inflation by throwing doubloons out of the game system?
  2. Just the typical infamous lies told by eslandolan warmongers.
  3. And do we have to submit a complete list of the current army öocations each month, even if we didn't move a unit?
  4. As you can read here, @Bob De Quatre , I do care much about our site guidelines. So I avoided to post a similar pic in the first place. But since @Phred as a moderator did not worry to post it, I had no further doubts about doing so. My regrets if I've gone too far.
  5. I made a mistake in the build submittal form. I submitted the topic "New Allegiance as mrca outcome but it was intended as freebuild. Shall I submit a new form?
  6. The Lady Arlene was an ugly ship. Slow, chubby, without any glimpse of elegance. It was the quintessence of mere profit maximization. Benjamin Morgan beared distinct hatred towards merchant vessels. He always felt the lack of a soul on them. Nonetheless he would require her services. The captain had found his end during the battle, defending a callous ugly sin of a ship that not even had been in his possession. He had died for strangers, some faceless salesmen in Carno. Only one of these noble entrepreneurs was aboard himself; an old and hard looking man that was found hiding between his goods and now stood besides the helmsman and the first mate. His eyes revealed a cold heart and a greedy mind. “This is not my first trade voyage, you little rascal. I already met worse pirates when you were still sucking at your mother’s teats. Now, tell me your price. How much to make you and your bunch of scum leave my ship?” Morgan didn’t pay attention to him. “The cargo, Mubaku?” he asked his first mate. “Timber, tar, canvas... everything as expected, Captain.” “Excellent. Select a prize crew and set sail to Isla del Diablo. And find me the ship’s carpenter and sail maker and bring them aboard the Annetta. Take care of the remaining crew.” Morgan commanded. After his men had hurried away to fulfil his orders, he remained alone with the salesman on deck. “Do you have sea cucumbers in your ears? I offered you money! More than you and your sad pile of tramps could ever hope to get by selling the cargo.” The salesman said. Morgan examined his sword. “Your doubloons are of no value for me, sir. The is more to this world than mere coin. This pathetic ship deserves to serve a higher cause than to line your pockets.” The man stared with incomprehension at the young captain. “You and your miserable kind are a plague to Terraversa! To Hades with you! Zeus let me witness the day that this waters will be purged of you Sea Rats!” Morgan’s eyes were still fixed on his cutlass, when he began to speak:”You are way off, sir. There is a greater plague to this world, both the old and the new. A growing disease corrupting everything pure. THERE ARE TOO MANY MERCHANTS! The salesman’s corpse toppled over the bulwark and sank into the waves. “What about the surviving crew, Captain?” Mubaku asked. “No survivors, Mubaku. Only rumours.” Morgan said. ______________ The Lady Arlene Alright, this vessel was a rushed build over the weekend. Therefore she doesn't feature any neat detailing, or a smoother hull. But as pointed out in the story, I think it's proper for a trading vessel. The Lady Arlene is a 4T2 vessel of Carno origin, that I captured during the last MRCA. The main reason why I spontaneously decided to moc her was because I felt the need to show Captain Morgan in action. Perhaps some of you are shattered that this charming, good looking devil of a fellow manifests himself as a relentless killer. But there seems to be a competition looming amongst the Sea Rats, about who is the eeriest and most menacing pirate in these waters. And I wanted to throw my hat in the ring early.
  7. Zhao Lin glanced at the sky. The winds were in her favour. Finally. After the death of the Fang Family, it had become too hazardous to stay in Rassilon. Every minor sailor who could afford a pistol tried to follow in their footsteps. Blood and thunder had come over the whole town. Lin knew she could not hope to gain the high ground. Not yet. She was in need of a new leader. Someone who could keep a fleet of drunk brutal lunatics together. Someone who would offer her structures to move up the ladder. There would have been dozens of proper raiding fleets in Bastion she could have joined. Her men were complaining under their breath. Most of them disliked the idea of joining a foreign pirate captain. In a quiet moment, her first mate challenged her decision:” Captain, why Isla del Diablo. Why that man? I’ve talked to some people in Bastion... they never saw him, never talked to him. He does his own thing down there on that sick isle. And nobody knows what he’s up to. Nobody knows him.” Lin was sure about here decision. She answered:”Cho Fang was prudent. He took care of his people and never ran a risk. That is why his crew betrayed him. Li Fang tried to act audacious. But he lacked his father’s intelligence. He ran right against the wall. That Captain Morgan has the right balance. Bold enough to use every chance, smart enough to stay away from the gallows. My mind says to me that he will come a long way. And whatever his secret plans may be, I will make sure use it for me.” Additional shots: _______________________________________________________________________________ This is the Lǒngzhōu, a class 4A junk. I always wanted to do a junk and experiment with far eastern designs, since I find it a wonderful addition to the world of BoBS. I eventually began building her when I realised the Troll Warship's sails would be suitable for a junk. She carries 8 cannons on the gun deck, 2 larger bow chasers, and a single cannon in the stern. Most fun part was to construct the unique hull.
  8. On minifigpriceguide.com, but it showed up on instagram. just a guess, but usually such leaks of new figures/parts seem to happen around the Czech Lego factory.
  9. Another view of the ghost shark *****
  10. I want to say that I really enjoy all of your vessels. It's great to see some small but nifty ship designs besides all the enormous warships with dozens of cannons. And that pirate hideout features a wonderful nostalgic style that brings back all the memories of the old pirate line. I wished the Lego designers would bring back a bit of the 80/90ies feeling that your work celebrates. Oh, and technically you gave us the very first true pirate hideout in BoBS history. Something I thought we would see more often at the beginning of this crazy circus.
  11. I use the transaction form for such matters. I fill in 0 DB and use the field that asks for the reason for this transaction to writte down who shall receive wich ship.
  12. I totally missed Bregir's thread. But I'm amazed by the idea. That's a brilliant expression of applied science that has actual value for nautical matters. I never paid much attention to the science aspect of Corrington. But right now I get a whole new understanding of this part of Corrington's culture. I can think of so many new story plots at the moment based on this. About your build I want tosay that the architecture isn't what I usually expect for Corrington buildings- but I find it fitting nonetheless! You made a great interpretation of Bregir's build and the tower is really impressive. I imagine it must be an outstanding sight in every Corrington town. Wonderful job redcoats!
  13. Toyfair! Totally forgot about that. They better bring it there so I can stop injuring my eyes by looking at that damn blurry pic every day. @Phred @gedren_y where's your imagination? It could be a rotten corpse of a shark ran ashore. Or use it for a scene of fishermen cutting up their haul. @GoldenNinja3000 perhaps a set about the movie zombie shark?
  14. Congratulations for finally sailing her into the brick seas! A worthy flagship. And great lore you established around her. Black is always a pain to photograph, even with good equipment. And it's a magnet to dust. You can always see every particle on it. But nonetheless the pics do her impressive appearance justice.
  15. What? You've never heard the tales of the reckless Benjamin Morgan? Benjamin, brave and bold? Dread Pirate Captain Morgan, on his legendary ship, the Queen Annetta's Revenge? Morgan the Moray? You must truly be a nozzer in these waters beyond Terraversa, lad.
  16. If you search for a video on youtube with the name "Lego Pirates of the Caribbean 2017 shark?!" You will find a pic of that ghost shark. Can't manage to link it here with my phone and I'm sure I'm not allowed to insert a screenshot here. Have you seen this? For me it definitely looks like a true lego production. It's too well molded to be custom and the print looks exactly like what I would expect from lego.
  17. I'm a simple man roaming the seas for adventures. I leave all the politics and trade bonusess to you fellows. But I'm highly interested in that tale of the kraken. Sounds like the right task for me.
  18. About the two captured 4T ships from Carno, are they supposed to be T1 or T2?
  19. Alright it isn't to hard for me to look up the upkeep costs and tell how many regiments that must be. My problem is now that I haven't given them names in the first place. Do you think it would work if I write something like "1 platoon from ship 'x' to ship 'y'" in the relocation form? How does this very form work? Does the staff have to look them up and replace the troops individually? I can't imagine it being automatic.
  20. @Kolonialbeamter I did not know that. There is no special field for names. So you mean I would have to write something like "platoon 'scallywag 1' on ship 'xy'"? Well that means all my troops are nameless. I know there was some information about raising troops when it became a thing, but I can't find that bloody post yet. The master index is definitely lacking a proper guideline about army raising.
  21. Ahoy! I need some advice regarding the bureaucracy; How am I supposed to relocate troops, lets say from one vessel to another or from vessel to land. Or do I have to disband the old troops and raise new ones? And is there an option to see how many troops I have raised and where I stationed them?
  22. Great story! I enjoyed reading the prophecy. That's promising an epic tale full of suspense. But I had to laugh when seeing the first pic. The way the two are staring angrily at the rocks, like "prepare to see your maker, bloody rockwork!"
  23. @Mike S BobS was also intended to be focussing on ships rather than landlubber properties. Not that I don't like having believable port cities and an economy that is essential to have the ressources for naval power. But this is still the pirates forum. But that's a different story. Now about the kraken. I think it means no problem to anyone to have fantasy aspects in BoBS. Supernatural powers or not- the economy still works the same way as it does in reality. Ships are still powered by the wind, and made of timber and the sweat of hard working men. And for a calm analytic merchant it should make no difference if a lost ship is listed in his books as "sunk by storm" or "sunk by kraken". It is just a little aspect that makesBoBS a more interesting place for a variety of people. As I said above not everyone finds building factories and earning money by trade that exciting. @Kwatchi For me you are doing a fantastic job regarding your story telling. The dark bishop is my favourite character in BoBS. And that since this ingenious temple of doom reference. I came here to discover exotic isles and roam unknown seas for fortune and glory (sic). And ruthless pirate lords like Emil Meloche are exactly what I would like to see more of. The whole worshipping of Hades stuff with dark rites and blood sacrifices are aspects that make BoBS something original, instead of just being a compendium of Age of sail and european history. Nobody should feel forced to participate in that more fantasy aspect. But I would ask everyone to tolerate it at least.
  24. One question regarding the "Poseidon's Revenge"; its result states "Saved Incognito from 5HA pirate "Strumpet". Captured". Does that mean Strumpet got captured or the Revenge?
  25. @Kwatchi Mardier has yellow as coat of arms. Also congratulations to your loot. It was about time that the bishop shows that he can bite.
