  1. Nah, it's a 3-in-1 along the lines of the Toy & Grocery Shop.
  2. It's not exactly a stretch to assume a set based on the first appearance of the most popular superhero of all time had already been considered, especially since that proposal went up on Ideas in March of this year, by which point the SDCC set was already designed and in production.
  3. For an Ideas proposal based on an existing license to even stand a chance of passing review, it would have to be something so original that TLG never would have considered it otherwise. If someone submits a Star Wars or Super Heroes set (or Disney Princess or Jurassic Park or any number of others for that matter), odds are frankly pretty high that the same idea has already been proposed internally at some point. And if it's already been proposed internally, then either A. they decided against it for some reason, meaning that unless the Ideas proposal brings a radically different twist on it, it will probably be rejected for the same reason, or B. they decided to put it in production, meaning the Ideas proposal will be rejected because it conflicts with something already in the pipeline.

  5. Are you only counting the ones with exclusive minifigures? Because there are at least six polybags missing from that list, but they all have either previously-released figures or no figures. Oh, and there's that Silver Centurion Iron Man, but that hasn't actually been released yet.
  6. Or it could be based on her birthday party from the Frozen Fever short
  7. Is that... a flick-fire sandwich?
  8. They're talking about the Battle of Hoth set, not the Episode VII ones.
  9. Well, every year there are a few sets from the January wave that get pushed up to a December 1st release, like what happened with some of this year's Creator, City, and Technic sets. I believe Disney Princess will be one of the themes to get that treatment this time around.
  10. "We're optimizing ROI in key growth markets in the 3rd quarter by spearheading innovative brain-eating initiatives across horizontally-integrated platforms."
  11. It's a one-and-done theme based on the movie.
  12. So, this rather hint-heavy exchange took place over in the Castle 2016 thread...
  13. I really like the opening mechanism for that cockpit!
  14. Maybe this new polybag will include some bonus stickers like the Rocket Raccoon one did?
  15. Who says so?
  16. Or Gilderoy Lockhart's?
  17. Aquaman is said to make a very brief cameo, and a pre-Cyborg Victor Stone will be in there somewhere as well, but Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman are the only ones playing a large enough role to merit turning up in the sets.
  18. Wasn't the Tumbler revealed at SDCC last year though? And that was September's exclusive, so it would seem the timing would line up right for the Temple to be revealed this time around.
  19. I thought that was supposed to be Toryn Farr...
  20. I suspect you're right: maybe too messy for a businessman, too neat for a zombie, but just right for a zombie businessman.
  21. The most expensive set, naturally.
  22. I think maybe Vindice thought people were talking about Agents of Smash? Anyway, civilians: no, there won't be any in the Civil War sets, but I couldn't disagree more with the idea that they're a waste of a minifig slot. What's the point of a bunch of superhumans beating each other up if there's no one to protect?* Not that every set needs 'em, but a normal human here and there (especially a really nice fig like that banana guy) adds some context beyond just good guys fight bad guys because bad guys are bad. *why yes, Kingdom Come is one of my favorite comics, how'd you guess
  23. Release schedules are just different sometimes, and your guess is as good as mine as far as why. My theory is that it has something to do with differences between European and North American school years affecting peak toy purchasing times, but that's really little more than a wild guess.
  24. Yes, but the packaging was not updated with the new piece count. So the version you've found may well have the additional pieces, but you wouldn't know it without opening the box.
