Well, to those who are upset about Angry Birds, I'll say this: at least TLG didn't go for the MySpace license.

These are going to be based on the movie, and nothing is really known about any vehicles and/or buildings in it at this time. The figures... yeah, I'll concede that the figures will be kinda weird-looking.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them comes out a good six months after the movie about Birds Who Happen to be Angry.

I'm inclined to think they'd go with the soccer balls, even though Zamor spheres are more common, simply because Zamor spheres are larger and the whole thing, which is pretty big to begin with, might have to be scaled up to accommodate them.

Minimum wage affects a lot more than just minimum-wage earners though - the median wage is around double as well, which probably does factor into consumer product pricing. If we really wanted to settle the whole who-pays-more contest, we could list each country's price for the entire TFA range as a function of the hourly post-tax wage of, say, the average third-quintile earner in that country, or maybe fifth-decile, but that's more research than I really feel like doing this early in the morning. The tl;dr version: everyone is going to be spending more than they'd really like to.

Well, it's an adult forum, so occasionally we'll actually engage with our hobby on an adult level, which can mean discussing relevant social issues as they pertain to LEGO. For those who'd rather pretend that these issues don't exist, there's always the LEGO Message Boards for a more fitting maturity level.

I am pretty darn confident that there will be Civil War sets and that Winter Soldier will be in them, for whatever that's worth to you. So the question is mainly whether you want an MCU Winter Soldier or the more comic-booky one out now. And like others said, only go for it if you actually have $75 worth of sets on your wish list; I wouldn't recommend buying a bunch of stuff you don't really want just to get a promo fig.

Lately the trend for reveals has been roughly a month before the wide release date (not counting VIP early access), so I personally expect the video to come out around the first of July, maybe a little sooner.

Yeah, I think you're right! Snake and Groundskeeper Willie have printed two-tone arms too, and it looks like Bernadette in the Big Bang Theory set has printed two-tone legs. I don't expect it to become a regular occurrence but it's nice for special edition things like promo figs.

I kind of doubt it - designer videos tend to be limited to the D2C exclusives.

Not everything, but the takeout bricks definitely are. (And the Chinese character on the side translates to "rice," if anyone's wondering.)

The poster on the door and the fuses on the 1x1x5 column are stickers; I'm pretty sure the rest are printed elements.

The interesting thing about Leonard's hair is that TLG wanted to go with a different piece, but when they sent minifig designs to WB, they nixed it in favor of the one you see here. The nice thing is that Dark Brown is actually a new color for this piece.
