  1. Well, that and the Killer Croc set, which is another one that's clearly meant to take advantage of the characters' increased popularity without being a direct tie-in.
  2. The number of new Batman villains this year really depends on how you define a Batman villain. This is a deeper philosophical quandary than I would have expected.
  3. Nah, Encounter on Jakku and the Resistance X-Wing are definitely two different sets.
  4. Yeah, I don't think most people here really grasp just how far in advance this stuff is planned out, and just how much can change in that time.
  5. LEGO submits all licensed minifig designs to the licensor for approval before they go into production. So, they're keen on using that part because Marvel is keen on using that part.
  6. There's not a limit on new heads specifically, but since there are overall limits on new elements introduced in each set, I think it makes sense to reuse existing face prints to free up room in the change budget for other prints that can't be as easily replicated with existing designs. Frankly I don't see any problem with reusing Star-Lord's face; it looks close enough to Bucky that I can't imagine a brand new print would look all that different anyway.
  7. That's exactly why I was hoping the reveal would be today!
  8. Those sorts of things often just show up on shelves with little to no advance notice. We'll get some new Star Wars and Super Heroes keychains at some point, but I don't even know exactly when.
  9. I'm gonna say the portraits are stickers but the wallpaper is printed on bricks. Just a hunch.
  10. Pig City Teardown is the highlight for me as well. Looks like a new wood plank print in several of these, right?
  11. Since this coincides with the 50th anniversary of the show, trends indicate we'll get the '89 Batcave in 2039.
  12. Also, y'all are way off on comparing the piece count to Arkham. This has around 900 more pieces, easy.
  13. Oh cool, I hadn't seen the back yet. Nice to see there's an exterior wall to reenact celebrity window cameos.
  14. By adding a vehicle?
  15. I believe it's some variant of Chalet, most likely Chalet London Nineteen Sixty.
  16. No. And Mr. Freeze is a polybag, not included in the set.
  17. That's it? You sure about that?
  18. How would they have "ended" the series after Halloween? The series ends when everyone has bought them all.
  19. Instructions surfaced for First Order Star Destroyer (not sure if this is old news but it's the first I've heard of it): http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6142966.pdf
  20. Nope, it's definitely the Batcave.
  21. I think usually twice, but there were three waves this year due to TFA sets coming out in September. I expect the same in 2016 - two waves of assorted sets in January and June, then a Rogue One-heavy wave in the fall.
  22. The reference to the astronaut's "spiffy new beard" makes me wonder if he might have taken just a bit of inspiration from Commander Riker.
