  1. And surprise, surprise: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-Star-Wars-10179-Millennium-Falcon-First-Run-Brnad-New-/260862908555?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item3cbca4188b http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-Star-Wars-10179-Millennium-Falcon-First-Run-Brnad-New-/170703862845?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item27bebe3c3d They're trying auctions now! Both via new seller accounts, it's funny that neither can spell 'brand'!! Reported x 2
  2. I just ordered a UCS Executor from Lego Direct; I can't wait to build it! They're currently offering free postage & 50 extra VIP points on orders over £50.
  3. And again (from China this time and they're the first release, apparently! ) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-Star-Wars-10179-Millennium-Falcon-First-Run-Brnad-New-/120785301357?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item1c1f5d6f6d Reported
  4. And they're back again (this one seems very determined!!): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-Star-Wars-10179-UCS-Millennium-Falcon-Brand-New-/120784997280?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item1c1f58cba0 Reported
  5. And they're back! Be warned....7 already 'sold' at £170! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-Star-Wars-10179-UCS-Millennium-Falcon-Brand-New-/270824170929?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item3f0e60e5b1 They also have Death Stars @ £130 and lots of robot vacum cleaners ; exactly the same as a couple of days ago....I've reported them to Ebay.
  6. I totally understand that Ebay cannot monitor every item that is advertised, it’s clearly an impossible task! However, I do feel that when items are reported they should be able to act more rapidly, especially when the item(s) have been subject to a recent scam. A couple of the ones I reported were still active over 24 hours after I had emailed Ebay, and I assume I wasn’t the only one doing this! In the UK we’ve had several cases were a genuine, established account appears to have been hacked and used to commit fraud. I must admit that I was almost taken in myself when the first one appeared ; they only listed 6 as being available and the seller had very good feedback over several years and a lot of it was for items of a decent value. However, there was a significant ‘gap’ in the feedback, as the account had been inactive for a couple of years and, thankfully, I walked away. I don't know how frequently this is occurring, but I am surprised that Ebay doesn’t seem have some type of automated flag that notifies them when a dormant account is used to sell a lot of high value items in one go? Anyway, I’m just pleased that these scams seem to be getting less common
  7. I checked late last night and it was still available; 14 ‘sold’ ..........ah well, at least they managed to close it before it reached 200 like one of the others a couple of weeks ago. I’ve reported anything that I've seen like this since it started; I feel really sorry for those who have fallen for similar scams, but I’m surprised that Ebay is still allowing this to happen.
  8. It looks like they're back again on Ebay (Death Star for £136.60), be warned! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-Star-Wars-Death-Star-10188-w-24-Minifigures-New-/190579310358?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item2c5f697f16 I've just reported this to Ebay and asked them to investigate. I could be wrong, but it looks similar to recent scams; old & established account that has been dormant for several years - I guess that it's been hacked?
  9. Thanks for the photos That looks like a nice little set, especially as a source of tan parts! I wonder if it will be available in the UK at some point?
  10. Looking good so far ACPin! Really nice details, especially the foliage I’m looking forward to seeing the final version; don’t forget R2 peeping through the window!
  11. Please count me in, although I’ll need to work out how to create a Flickr account so that I can post some photos! It will be either frosty or Cloudy!
  12. I've just checked my manual and the sticker sheet isn't included within the parts list. However, I've still got mine on the original backing sheet which has a barcode along one side. I'll PM you
  13. Tesco direct have the mini Imperial Star Destroyer (8099) for £14.98 at the moment: http://direct.tesco.com/search/default.aspx?search=lego+8099 Total bargain!
  14. Now that is genuinely amazing! Incredible size, details & brick count! That must have a very strong technic frame to make it stable, I wonder how long it took to build?
  15. Great work, again, ACPin! Great detail including the use of Obi-wan’s hood in the other photos when he’s sneaking to & from the tractor beam! Have you thought about illuminating the beam with a Technic LED or two? I think that the blue would look great
  16. It’s good to see some better photos of the new sets. I’m really impressed by the Droid escape & X-wing, definite purchases for me. I’d still like to see a dewback, but I guess you can’t have everything
  17. I'm glad it's not just me. I bought one of these sealed a while ago from Ebay, but couldn't bring myself to open it. There didn't seem much point in keeping a white unopened bag, so I reluctantly sold it on again, I just hope that it went to a good home
  18. Shouldn't the troopers be displayed on a white background, or are you re-creating Hoth in summer or following a spell of global warming?! Great stuff though, I love Snowtroopers You have a great collection TheDarkness.
  19. The new X-wing looks quite nice, although I’m not too sure about the engines. Droid escape looks far better than I had expected, definitely one to buy for me
  20. Thanks for the pictures & link spacepilot3000. I’m counting down the days until I can order this, and they’re really long days at the moment! Is that a UCS Falcon in your Avatar? If so, please can you post a larger picture? I’d really like to see the display that you’ve made for it.
  21. I wonder if Lego have realised that people are resorting to building these from scratch? I guess that you could get most of the parts directly from them rather than via Bricklink, although you’d have to use a combination of the ‘Pick a brick’ service & ‘replacement’ parts. I’ve just had a quick look at the replacement list & they’ve included 284 different elements; they’ve even got the radar dish & rigging sections! I know that some members have strong opinions on the possibility of a re-issue, and I totally appreciate both sides of the argument. However, personally, I would like to see Lego do this at some point in the future (and I say this as an owner), as I’d love to buy another one which I could then display longterm without any fear of light damage. To me it’s a set that is truly iconic and I feel that everyone should have the option of buying one at a reasonable price. I paid £750 for mine sealed at the start of this year, and at that time I was luckily in a position to be able to afford it.
  22. Excellent stuff! I’m amazed that this has been built by a 7 year old! It took me a moment to understand the ‘minfigure’ scale, but it’s really clever. The landspeeder & Dewbacks are my favourites
  23. I guess that it's got to be the UCS Millennium Falcon (10179). It's massive, iconic, challenging to build and incredibly detailed. My second choice would be 886 (Vintage Space Buggy); I think that this was my first ever set...!
  24. Nice MOC, well done! I really like the corridors & the carbonite chamber, although I don’t remember seeing any Classic Spaceman in the film?; perhaps they’re in one of the special edition DVDs! I totally agree that Bespin has been overlooked by Lego, and it really deserves some more attention. I was hoping that they would release something for it during the 30th Anniversary; I’d love the original set but the cost is far too high for me. I've been debating doing something similar myself, although on a slightly larger scale; my logo shows my best attempt to date of the carbonite chamber, link here to the full size version if you’re interested http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30749&view=findpost&p=1018464&hl=&fromsearch=1.
  25. I have lots of respect for anyone who is trying to build a Falcon by sourcing all of the parts from Bricklink etc, it must be a serious undertaking! I started building mine again last night, and I’d almost forgotten how large it was! I totally agree with the comments about Lego Customer Services; they have been totally brilliant on the couple of occasions that I have contacted them
