  1. The cards really show how similar the figs are to them! Love the work you did to the minifigs, love the background (card) chosen. We want more we want more!
  2. Thank you so much guys and gals, that was very good advice! I had no idea we had to be THAT careful, I always thought of Lego as indestructible. I regret taking those arms off so if anyone is reading this, know that if you do it too many times the arms will eventually just stay at their sides, and won't be pose-able anymore. I won't be taking off anymore arms. Hence from this day forward, I will refrain from handicapping and surgically removing the arms of my brave warriors and citizens !
  3. I have been playing with my Viking minifigs for two years, and my castle figs for about 1 year. I have already destroyed the Viking arm joints by attaching and reattaching them to different torsos. My castle figs on the other hand, I just simply play with them and have them use different weapons but I can tell already that their arms are going to be loose as well. How can I keep my minifigures in good shape so that there arms can still be used to hold weapons without falling falling back down? Do any of you guys have this issue?
  4. Why are these leaks so hard to find reallly can't wait to these pics
  5. *roar* goes the lego bear, I'm in :D
  6. These ratings should really be ZERO to TEN and not ONE to FIVE. The feedback here at Eurobricks is seriously taken into consideration by TLG. Look at how many sets Eurobricks has influenced on creating. We have a strong AFOL community presence here as well. I think if we want to see improved sets, we need to change the rating system. According to the polls, about 70% of people here like the ship but of those 70%, they also want to see minor improvements as well. In order to take into account their opinions, having a ONE to TEN scale would allow them to pick a very high 9 score or a high 8 score instead of a pure 10 (or in this case a 5 which is absolutely perfect in every way from piece count to aesthetics, to playability, pricing etc.). TLC takes all our comments seriously, if we want to see improved products, we have to allow room in our rating to realistically represent our judgements. Therefore, I highly recommend the moderators as well as users to adjust their rating system in order to not marginalize our important feedback that could result in even better products being produced in the future. Although this set is truly truly fantastic, there is always room for improvement, and here at Eurobricks, the community is central to helping TLG improve their products. I highly recommend the rating system to change from One to Ten because we are important to pushing TLG to improve their products continually.
  7. Does that mean there will be no Dwarve's Battle pack ever Milk?
  8. You guys should check this folder out then. MOC of Zelda.
  9. I'm pretty certain the troll mountain will have a dwarf or two (orcs definitely included). My other guess is that these dwarves will also have the newer shields found in some other ads?? When will they finally release some stand alone dwarf battle packs though The king's chariot may be the one with the queen. However, I am waiting for a set with that jester , wonder when it'll ever come. It's strange they didn't include him in the medieval town. The drawbridge is definitely going to be a crownie, I agree with you guys on that one. C'mon TLC more dwarves more dwarves , battle pack please, there are lots of ppl waiting for this one.
  10. Thank you for the review. I thought it was thorough and informative. The first time I saw the set, it was lacking to me. Why are the building techniques so simple X_X !! Why does it lack so many pieces? I agree with most of everyone on here, it is WAY overpriced. Buying this set only supports TLC to continually sell this crap. If it were $40, it would make sense since $40 is already quite expensive for this base model (LEGO IS NOT CHEAP). Selling it for $50, my conscience won't let me do it with that kind of money. I would rather get dwarves mine. I also don't want TLC to get an impression that this type of thing is something the fans really want. I think fans deserve MORE for this price. If not more figures, then more pieces. C'mon TLC x_x what is going on here? I am keeping this set FAR away from me as possible when I walk into the store, I don't want it anything near me until they put a descent price tag on it, one that reflects it's true value.
  11. That is the coolest avatar ever Awesomestar, made me laugh half to death! lol I don't recommend you getting the King's Castle Siege. Even brick journal critisized King's castle siege for being so useless to play with in the interior. Take it from me, I bought the dang thing because I was desperate for a castle, REALLY desperate. When I got it, it was fun to build, but once I finished I could not do much with it. Secondly, the towers are all facades, they are not assessible with minifigs (no ladders, nothing). Thirdly, for one hundred dollars you could do SOOO much more and buy so much more. Save it for the pirate ship or something else, trust me, don't spend it on castle siege. The castle is at best a 6.5/10 and that's not harsh. I have one and I know, I don't like it enough to ever buy an enclosed caste like that ever again because LEGO used too many few pieces to design it, it's like barely a structure when ur done. You will also realize it has more of those prefab parts for the walls of the castle then you can imagine. The individual bricks are very very limited. It just feels like a castle for kids x_x, i would have liked to see it like the taj mahal, cafe corner, green grocer etc. THOSE require some real brick work.
  12. These new sets are all wonderful and great, but do any of you think that we'll actually get a Dwarves' Battlepack in the future? Many people are ready for Elves, but I haven't had my fill of Dwarves yet, I can't justify using the Mine Defender or Dwarves' mine as an army builder : ( , I just don't have that kind of money
  13. That pitchfork is gone because they lost the mold for it guys. The way for them to get it back is to design a new one by replicating the old one as best as they can. Finally, they would also need a good reason to make a piece that is only usable for this theme. I want it to come back though =\ it's a great piece.
  14. Ahhh I see, so the Queen's tiara is old as well then. Thanks Dillon
  15. I am wondering if the Tiara pieces are new or old because I just saw this on brickshelf. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3441347
  16. Have any of you noticed that the blacksmith's shop and stable lack stairs? I love how they included the water wheel but of course that takes up the place of the stairs. I don't know how to put stairs within the house itself though. If a person were to do that, he/she would have to remove one of the horse stalls. I did a count of the bricks and I figured that it would be impossible to use the "already-made" stairs and place it within the room without taking up all of the space. If you guys have a good idea on where to put the stairs I'd like to listen. I was also thinking about putting stairs that go half way up the room on the bottom floor, and then turns the opposite direction and go the final half way up to the second floor, it seems that this would save the most space. The one thing I don't want to do is to use ladders because that would infringe upon the blacksmith wanting to bring drinks up stairs or downstairs. Then, there is that other idea of using the same technique of building the stairs from the Tavern and the Inn side except that it would have to climb over a river?? or wrap around the house. It's a dreaded issue for me, it would be great if someone could build up a fake moc of this really quickly and demonstrate clever ways to build an internal staircase that takes up as little room as possible. I even looked at the old black smith's shop for inspiration, but couldn't find much help. MOC experts of Eurobricks, help?? Finally, my last statement about pricing. Guys, Legos are very expensive. I don't ever want to hear cheap : ( even if it's 10 cents per piece. It's cheaper! ... not cheap x_x. Don't forget, the U.S economy is going under x_x. Good for international peace keeping (no money for war) at least.
  17. I want to thank LEGO so much for their response to our AFOL community. I'm so thankful for the skillful architects of this modern masterpiece! The whole design team, you guys truly truly are special. You've made more than half of us here grown adults cry, and the rest... gleefully insane. I'm also so happy for my lovely friends at classic-castle.com, it's been a long time coming guys and you guys finally got what you want. Since Lego is coming out with such an outstanding product due to their gifted design team (THANK YOU GUYS !!!!!!!!!!) LEGO is going to make big bucks next year, without a doubt on this product. Like earlier postings have said, this works well for city, as a quaint old european village, it works well with pirates, and so on. The piece selection as stated by many is amazing! I really hope LEGO would post the design team member's names on the boxes though, I really want to know the individual members behind such an amazing piece of work because whatever these guys are making next, I WANT IT !!
  18. These minis are so adorable add me add me !!!
  19. Remember December 2006 when Lego Castle's main builder said Castle fans are in for a big surprise at the end of next year?? Surprise!!!!!!!! North America you're excluded from the surprise omg I want to CRY
  20. I think it is surely appropriate to write to TLG and ask about whether or not we are getting 4 dwarves. It would likely get a response if the German Amazon site is pointed out, since all the pictures are there anyways. If it is something that could come off as "false advertisement" TLG will be quick to solve the issue and let consumers know. Afterall, it is being pre-ordered.....right now.
  21. Thank You Soooo Much CopMike I was jumping up and down all through the house This is one set I will always always cherish. Thank youuuu !!! *sending PM* I hope PM means message because that's what I did : ).
  22. Thank you Rancor, Fluyt and Legoman I want that cannon piece even more 0_0 now. Plus now I finally know what a shako is. Very big thanks for the translation of january to may
  23. Lego is not the problem. Our possessions are not the problem either. It is how we use what we have that is the problem. If you don't want to spend all the money on Lego, you can always give to charity the equal amount you spend on Lego. Your enjoyment time is absolutely necessary and important because you yourself is a sentient being. We can always find a balance to do charitable work and at the same time, take care of ourselves. Too many people take the extremist approach of either being way too selfish or being way too selfless to the point where, even neglecting him/herself. Neither of these two paths are skillful. There is no doubt that spending ALL your time on Lego is unskillful unwise living. However, there is nothing innately wrong with enjoying Lego. I follow two golden rules. 1.) Never do anything that hurts others and oneself. 2.) Do that which helps others and oneself. This question could be geared towards rich people. Are rich people then the problem? Is their wealth a problem? Absolutely not. Wealth isn't the problem, it is how we use the wealth. Just as if a person earns their wealth and uses it wisely (build it for others and themselves, and gives to those less fortunate), you too can enjoy your possessions but also be able to give to those less fortunate. Find a balance, find that middle way. Finally, if you don't violate the two golden rules of morality, you can't go wrong.
  24. I have three questions. 1.) Can the cannons actually shoot? How does it shoot?? 2.) Are the tassels removable on the hats of the soldiers? In 6243 it is red, but black for all other sets. 3.) These are coming out September 2008 or September 2009?
  25. I love all the new elements in the pirate theme. I remember playing with Castle 2007 and feeling so bad for the Pirate's group because here we have such a devoted fan base with no pirate sets in the horizon. Now with the pirates out, and lego with enough kindness and smartness to release their prelim pics for fan feedback, I couldn't ask for more. What a company ! I WANT that ship, and when their imperial ship comes out (wishing) I will get it as well. For the time being, ALL the pirate sets look good to me. I have a question, what is that little thing sticking out of the imperial troop's hat? In the pirate ship set, it is red, but in the regular sets, it is black. Are these things removable (not the plume look alike, the other thing on the imperial troops) ? I'm really happy for you guys in the pirate forum
