I was on brickset last night and saw Street Sweeper, Police Swamp Boat, and Doc and Patient for 2008. I don't recall seeing any news of that anywhere else, has anyone else seen some of these in their recent catalogue or is this intended to be mid 2008? If you have news, please care to share *wub* brickset listings

Those smaller postal sets will sell well, I have a feeling *wub* but master, I fear those small sets are simply a gateway to buying those large behemoth sized planes (8 wide, no runway). I think they fear building medium sized planes because they fear "overkill" or building up competition against themselves. The biggest concern fo r for me is making sure all bricks work well together, and that means the runway too :-/ , those big monsters wont fit anywhere. Jeez if i lived in a big place I'd so get those big planes. Sne, thanks for the heads up on the future of "big airports." I guess I shouldn't fancy those thoughts anymore, since they've abandoned them :-| but with all the great sets TLC is coming out with, it pacifies the soul :-D one mini helicopter, and one mini plane this year woohoo ;-) :'-)

I really like your MOC, I think you should be interviewed by Brick Journal, honestly. I'm not afraid to talk about the war. There's nothing to be afraid of. This is a LEGO forum and I feel this is relevant. It uses LEGOs to express an opinion about world politics. LEGO isn't just a play toy but a form of artistic expression. Views On Mass Killing (WAR) 1.) Theories and arguments by those in government will never argue the fact that "killing is not wonderful." 2.) Anyone that supports war nourishes violence within their own hearts, any war. Here are the reasons for #2 You support war as the only option to solve a problem. It might sound insane to many people but you CAN solve problems without your family dying, your friend's family dying, and other people's family dying. Those of you who disagree, I bet you have wonderful ideas about history and politics, some of you may even be PhDs, but can you look into your own hearts instead of simply looking in your mind that killing hurts? I say we have other methods to solve situations. War is simply mass murder. I don't support any nation killing any other nation, I don't support anyone killing any other person, no matter the situation. I don't support any anger, resentment, hatred towards others and myself, I simply understand it. I do support peace, I do support love, I do support play (GO LEGO), I will never support killing in any fashion no matter how wonderful the arguments. Those who believe otherwise, "God" if you believe in God, karma if you believe in buddhism, natural law if you don't believe in a religion will deal with your own subjective reasons for killing (WAR). If you want to find the best reasons to kill another person, you will find it. If you want to support killing, you will find reason to do so. I'm just glad there are TONS of people out there who will never ever in their life support hurting others no matter how wonderful the arguments are. This MOC is magnificent. It uses LEGOs the way those in brick journal are interviewed; it's fun but also has such a deep meaning. To the designer for defending such a thing as peace. I gladfully bow to you in show of respect, admiration, and love. *wub*

I also prefer the older cargo logo a lot more! I'm so envious you have those planes in your town :-P . I wonder if the younger crowd nowadays will ever get to see the glory days when mid sized planes were touted as the staple in airline design. Afterall, isn't LEGO's motto to create sets that are HIGHLY buildable? The last interview I saw had the CEO saying that they tried to create cars that were quick to build but failed! Then they realized in order to win in this market they had to stick to their brand name and build HIGHLY BUILDABLE model cars. My question then......... why not import this philosophy into your planes? :'-( And this was my biggest fear. When I saw the police surveillance plane I nearly cried :'-( . This was a prime example where snefroe1 as you stated used those large parts (that should have rightly been used only for large carriers) on a wannabe midsize..... I think it makes the plane look like a killer whale actually :-D. Those bigs ones aren't ugly by any means, but its size can stop certain collectors section8 and I plus the countless others who are interested in the airline collection from purchasing. It also brings up another interesting point.... is this direction from LEGO something AFOL members truly enjoy? This direction towards behemoth sized sets? Anyone else out there want those days when you can buy an airport and expect......... Set 6392 6597 A highly buildable plane, 12 minifigs, a helicopter, two helicopters X-O , a VOR Station! garage for transport vehicles, a refilling car, a forklift :'-( , airport plates!! On and on and on..... Nowadays when someone starts off a forum topic with these examples for the, "What I want to see next set" it would almost seem like you're joking for listing these assets in an airport :-( . Are these just not profitable anymore?

Medium Airliner 6375 I was wondering from you veteran LEGO experts what are the chances of LEGO creating more planes in "medium" size like this one? Recently we've had large planes, and even tiny ones, but I've yet to see a medium size plane. Is it too early to say that it's only wishful thinking to believe that LEGO would ever go back to creating such "medium" sized planes? Or is there still a future left for these beautiful aircrafts. From your own observations throughout LEGO years (I lack in this department greatly thus seeking all your expert knowledge) what are the chances of ever seeing them again? :-| I greatly adore these planes and wish to have more in my collection. :'-(

Hi guys :-) , I'm a novice at using Bricklink, recently I ordered a set from the Netherlands on bricklink.....it was shipped on 10-08-07 and was wondering how long does it actually take to ship to California. I chose a shipping rate of $10 USD. If any of you have experience with buying goods from europe in the U.S could you give me an estimate? That way I can write to the seller if it goes past that certain deadline. Thanks so much guys :-) I have no idea what to expect :-/

The Poll doesn't allow you to select 2 from 1-5. It instead says 1, 3, 3, 4, 5. But besides that, your review I give it a 5 because 1) shows the set in all angles 2) shows the characters 3) comment on the little creature comforts of the set 4) added a comic (playability) 5) showed true enthusiasm *y* *wub*

These are mini sets? :'-( but it looks like the Fxx can smash a lil mini fig just by it's width. I thought mini's are 4-wide cars :'-( . I wish Lego came out with a ferrari mini racers :-$ If they did the ferrari line like doctor's car, or police motorcycle that'd be so awesome *wub*

I can't wait for more, I really like your interpretation of a bus. I wanted to make one but didn't really have any good references, thanks so much. *wub*

Man that is such a nice pic! Thanks VBBN! It's so interesting to look back a few decades to see how they advertised. We can see the primitive stars, isolated trees, and all the lego people together *wub* Of course I'm glad the impulse sets don't just sell two minfgs and two accessories. That being said, look at the marketing scheme, the box art is sweet :-P .

ebay can be quite expensive, you might want to try bricklink.com, although sometimes it can be equally nasty X-D in pricing. Good luck ;-)

Sad to see they didn't add the hinges for the yellow cargo plane :-( now I'm debating whether or not I need another plane, I already have 2928 (blue white version w/hinges) What's with the antanae on the plane? Oh well extra pieces for us. Green windows yays!!! :-) That police helicopter, awesome :-$ perfect in promo pic, perfect now. If I had infinite space, I'd so buy the green cargo truck and plane :-( Hell, if I had infinite space I'd buy ferrari sets and everything else *sad* thank goodness for limitations. :-D

I'm with Frisan and the smiley reply, thanks much! I'd also like to add that Frisan, your quote "I'm a human being, not a human doing" is so cool :-D and should be advocated more!! We have become human doings *wacko* instead of human beings :-D

I was just wondering how many people are planning to go all yellow like me for the upcoming 2008 year with a yellow postal car, yellow postal plane, and yellow creator house. Do you guys think it's a good idea to get all three, two of the three, one of the three or pass up on yellow yellow altogether? Personally, I have the Yellow airport firetruck, and yellow crane lift from the airplane mechanic already and it's very gaudy. Am I the only one who's going to be all yellow? 8-| :-X Why or why not would you guys add/not add these three new sets to your collection?

The argument about realism and 4 wide versus x # wide studs I think should be centered around what kind of use we are looking for. If creators and collectors want a two person seater, then the only option is at least a six wide studded plane/car/truck. That being said, Lego hasn't had any plans lately at least to incorporate these two person designs so we're all stuck with six wide vehicles that don't function as they should. If i have a six wide vehicle that doesn't function to its full capacity, I prefer 4 wide with a reduced price and rather cute mini look. If I can stuff two people in the front, hey let's bring on the 6 wide because with the price it also serves its means. I think we are forgetting that the most important concept here is form and function. All these debates regarding x # of stud lengths has everyone's input about form and function based upon their own preferences. My theory is based upon how they sold the '07 Castle, the designers said that they wanted to make it BIG and IMPOSING in order to grab children's attention. So, we have bigger trucks....so big they can barely fit the road plates sold for them. The push is towards grabbing attention even if it may destroy LEGO's age old concept of having elements that should still function fifty years in the future. Now that we have these bigger vehicles, that dream they touted may be hindered a bit..... we have form yes, they're beautiful items, but the function may be lacking, and backwards compatibility is slowing becoming an issue. :-$ Just look around at some of the complaints about huge trucks unable to ride safely on those two lane roads now.

I compared 2008's Cargo Plane with 2006's 2928 Plane and found that 2928 is built much better. Take a look at the hinge on the left side of the plane that allows for the tail to swing out in order to dock goods. Also notice that the roof top in 2928 allows for easy access to the cabin area. Why didn't they include these hinges in 2008's Cargo Plane is beyond me... Do these hinges really cost them that much? These images were linked from brickshelf. Now THIS should be a cargo plane.
