Ah, I see. I suspected you may have lived there because of your username, Captainkiwi. And no, I'm not sure how watertight she actually is.

Looks fantastic, I love the shape! Give me a minute and this will be

The Admiral's ship is a 74 gun warship, about the size of the Vasa. The beam on the Vasa is 38 feet. That would be 28 studs in scale, and prefab hulls are only 16 studs wide. This is where we run into trouble.

Nice MOC! Good functionality there, perhaps you could build an elevated unload station. Are you familiar with the dumping facilities? And what loco is in the photo, I don't recognise it...

Ah, sterns! The most difficult part of a ship. A stern can make or break a ship, and on my Grandeur I built and rebuilt her stern 5 or 6 times until I was pleased with it. My suggestion is to look at Captain Green Hair's Build A Frigate thread, you will probably get some good ideas there.

Why thank you B! It's wonderful to know someone of your high expectations in good shipbuilding likes my work! Thanks Captainkiwi! Do you live in NZ? If you do, you might like to make a visit to Canberra Brick Expo in August as Grandeur will be on display there. Haha, I'm pleased you like the stern. It certainly took me long enough to get right!

Gah, bandit! Get him!

Brilliant work again sir! Your drawing skills are unmatched by anyone I know. Keep those minifig drawings up!

My vote goes to Cap'n Blackmoor for being the first to include a brilliant interior in his entry!

Looks great! Perhaps you'd like to see pe668's signals, they're all Mindstorms controlled, but I won't get to see them until next weekend!

Canberra Brick Expo 2010
Captain Zuloo replied to Captain Zuloo's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Thanks Ras! I hope you can make it down! There'll be trains, at least 2 layouts. Any chance you might be interested in displaying some of your awesome work ISC? -
Today I had the first showing of Blocksford 2010, another one next weekend. More photos coming soon...

Haha, what a lively place! That's brilliant, a great concept. I was expecting the graveyard to just be tombs and headstones, but you have gone to the extent of adding an amusing twist, and I applaude you for it. Great entry.

Well done! ^I particuarly like this one, the shape is perfect. But all of your entries are awesome, and I'm very pleased you've joined our community.

Hehe, it was a tad confusing to recieve a report saying thanks for the warm welcome. But anyhow, welcome to our community, I'm sure your MOCs and conversation will bring alot to our website. It's nice to see more talented builders joining our community.

Very nice! I particuarly like the rifle. Miniland style classic pirates look are a great idea, and one that you executed well. Thanks for sharing Athos.

Good grief! I had no idea this existed, but what a lousy price to pay for it. I'm not surprised that LEGO didn't make many copies of this, I personally can't think of anything more annoying than a sound controlled train, and I certainly wouldn't buy one for anyone other than myself. Still, nice to know that LEGO really stepped outside the box with this, hats off to them!

Great work there Grimmy, certainly in my top 3 favourite entries so far! The roof playability is tops, and the detail is really nice. I particuarly like the texture in the roof. You did very well, and you deserver a gold star...well, at least a frontpage.

Using Bricklink, it is unavoidable to win 100% everytime, but I think you should give it another chance, the vast majority of sellers are honest people. After seeing that model though, perhaps it could be minifig scale as what your have so far is only the very bottom section. I look forward to seeing the final product. But if you seriously expect to get this done under $50, you're in for a rude shock...

Is this the ship you are building?

Wow, that's fantastic! The details are so accurate! My favourite microscale fortress yet. This soon will be

Looks nice, but not big enough to make it minifig scale. Is it intended to be minifig scale?
