  1. Hi Sgt Tich! May I just suggest that you use the "Insert Link" button above the text space when inserting links. Cheers, Captain Zuloo
  2. That's not what I had in mind, but I like it. It works just as well as my idea. You just needed something to break up the carpet. Well done!
  3. B-T-2A Note: Track plan added in post #8. Ok, so I have finaly been convinced to get together a layout with Sgt Tich for a train show. Im calling the layout "Blocksford". The online presence of this layout can be viewed here. Anyway, I thought I'd share my main station with you. Feedback much appreciated! Thanks. On my kitchen bench: On the Blocksford layout:
  4. Carpet pattern - good idea CGH! Possibly use 1x1 tiles in diamond shapes with a 2x2 tile in the middle of the diamond?
  5. Ok. I use Vegas too. Although I would recommend using SMA instead of MonkeyJam. And 15 fps will be quite enough. Any more and you will go crazy. Would you be interested in perhaps turning this into a joint production with BrickFace Studios?
  6. This is better than FANTASTIC!!! Well done! I love the stain glass windows with the grill and 1x1 transparent parts. The best fort I have EVER seen. I bet all of your white LEGO together would add up to quite a heavy price!
  7. Yay! I just put a 4 year old topic on the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage! I voted the Caribbean Clipper because it seems to have a sort of grandeur to it that only the BSB can match. Although I almost voted for the other CC (Crossbone Clipper) because not only was it my first pirate set, it was my first LEGO set. So to me it has sentimental value.
  8. Hmmm. I would be interested in what framerate, software, hardware etc. that you will be using.
  9. Are you serious? Classic-Pirates.com is the worlds largest pirate LEGO database. Its team of dedicated workers have worked around the clock to bring you everything about LEGO Pirates you could ever possibly want in one site! Not only should Classic-Pirates.com exist, but it does exist. And it's the strongest and most thriving source of Pirate LEGO information on the internet!
  10. Very true, if AFOLs hadn't been asking for non-war based castle sets for such a long time, we would never have seen Medieval Market. I think the only way we could get a larger ship would be to continue what we are doing now - being active in a pirate forum, constantly trying to convey the message that we would buy a larger pirate set. I would be willing to pay $500 AUD for a really good pirate set. But I think we are more likely to get something of eaqual or lower size to the BB.
  11. So is this a brickfilm?
  12. Yargh me hearties! This MOC be frontpaged! Check it out.
  13. The original was a 3 deck ship-of-the-line?
  14. This thread again... Kirk, well done, I like you thinking and I see it quite likely. Although you obviously put a lot of thought and time into your post, Blackheart Brit. So well done!
  15. Ok, the first part of this could have been PM'd, doesn't belong in the forum. The second part is really cool, great for custom minifig decals. Although may I suggest that the staff move it to either the Minifig Customization Workshop or the General LEGO News and Discussion forums?
  16. What? If you are reffering to the 104-gun man-o-war, there are many models of it. Although, that particular ship never sank... What ship are you reffering to? (I'm sure there are heaps of other HMS Victory named ships though.)
  17. Arrrgggh! Certainly worthy of the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage! Thanks for sharing this beautiful vig.
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that part is this one.
  19. Lego12, did you consider creating some custom sails? Or possible printing some sails from our extensive Sail Library? (A much cheaper option)
  20. NewRight, if you feel you could easily get through a video every week, we might be interested in giving you a go as a video editor. After reading your application and watching your videos, I have decided you could benefit Classic-Pirates.com, and who knows - from a good and commited contribution, you may be able to earn yourself a promotion through our new Shipyard Ranking System! What do you think Mister Phes?
  21. No, just a dedicated interest in what you would be doing for Classic-Pirates.com. And congratulations Wouwie, it's nice to have another Pirate Editor by my side. Well done!
  22. Good question Mister Tiber. Because almost all toy pirate ships have the helm on the poop deck. However looking at an historical point of view, I'm quite certain that the helm would not have been located on the poop deck, but on the quarter deck. The reason for that being that the poop deck on british ships was often closed off to the normal crew, only officers being allowed on it. And as members of the pressed or volunteered crew would steer... I hope that helps. And damn that's a nice ship HMS243!
  23. Hehehe, that's what Zorro does when he's supposed to be completing his Vice Admiral duties!
  24. Fair enough. So have you started your ship yet?
  25. Boneparte, shouldn't this thread be in the MOC and MOD sub-forum? I dunno about minifigs, but I'm thinking as you wanted this to be a WIP thread as well...
