  1. AHHH! No, no, no! The H.M. Bark Endevour was the ship that Captain J. Cook used in one of his three historical voyages. It was the ship that discovered New Zealand and most of the Southern side of Australia. This discovery was what crashed the theory of Terra Australis, or the Great Southern Continent. It is thanks to Cook and this ship that Australia was turned into a convict settlement and now a free country that all from the Land Down under are proud to live in.
  2. Hehehe - I didn't notice that pirate with his stick of dynamite until you pointed it out. Hahaha. Very nice. And the story is purely heart=wrenching. Well done.
  3. Although I'm all for historical accuracy, I'm a big fan of the official LEGO® pirate line soldiers. So now that we have red coat soldiers in the new line, I would be happy if they made some red officers and blue soldiers and officers.
  4. Good point Phred, althou in all fairness, that effect can often require bricks many people don't have. This ship is looking good so far. Possibly a different colour scheme though as red and black are dark colours of hate, depression, anger etc. In other words, the current colour scheme would fit a pirate ship better than an imperial ship. Perhaps some royal and majestic colours such as white, blue, gold, yellow and green might assist the mix of colours. Anyway, you did well to change the BB into this. I look foward to the final result.
  5. Brilliant! I especially like the lanterns. Very clever. And it might also interest you to know that a ship's steering wheel is called the Helm.
  6. I think he means he was a lurker and used Boney's torso from our brilliant Torso Library. Anyway, welcome to Eurobricks and Classic-Pirates.com Neptune! What? You mean he created that medal himself? I was under the impression he had earned it! Just joking Bonaparte, you certainly deserve one. Bonaparte, this army of marines is looking quite grand, and I was thinking about doing the same thing. But I can't due to the sets not being released here until July, and it would cost me too much. I think I'll just wait and pray for a battle pack. But I sure think this ship will be something special!
  7. Very nice hull. Certainly frontpage quality, this MOC. Although I do agree with the others about the sails. But thanks for sharing!
  8. That's a little harsh - all you have to do is look at the new castle set 10193 Medieval Market Village to see that they do listen. Then can you explain the Star Wars battle packs? And when was the last time you saw such a big forum and definative data-base dedicated to hotcakes?
  9. I would imagine so, with the old line being so popular. I spoke to the LEGO® Australia Marketing Assistant, and she said although it's not certain, there will probably be quite a line on the horizon. I understand if you are also into other themes, but my main focus is pirates, so I for one, am just saving to buy all the pirates when they come out in Australia.
  10. Captain Zorro, I think this looks to be a MOC worthy of the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage! What be your thoughts? Watch the frontpage in the next few days, Mister Paul Cantu.
  11. Specever, this is a nice idea, but I don't see it going anywhere. The reason for that being that a tutorial or instructions for a fort would probably deserve a thread of it's own. And, people just don't have time to create directions for such a model - too big! Nice idea, but I just thought you should understand why you probably won't get many replies to this topic.
  12. If I were you, I wouldn't do anything too big, but perhaps the Classic-Pirates.com community might press the LEGO® Group for a battle pack of soldiers. But that may or may not happen. Another alternative is to purchase a large army ready made. An idea would be to look at our Build The Grandest Army You Possibly Can Thread which is constantly providing access to soldier auctions. Anyway, good luck with your army, and when it's completed, be sure to let us know!
  13. Very well done! Frontpage material Mister Zorro? Check out tommorow's news item fallentomato.
  14. Absoloutely fantastic! This is frontpage quality for sure, don't you think Zorro? Very well done! I think the decks with the planking is very clever. Well done.
  15. Are you aware that the latter two images are identical? Otherwise, I like these modifications. They are certainly improvements - except the hull mid section. But that's not your fault. I would be interested to see under the cabin however, you just need to change your images code. Well done, thank you for sharing.
  16. I like your derby snowbox VBBN, but to my knowledge you aren't allowed to enter it in that thread. It's for staff and fellows only.
  17. Fantastic review mate! I really enjoyed the comparison shots too. Looks like I need to do some saving...
  18. I sorta knew that... Actually, I had no idea. Thanks for clarifying that Sinner. And I think most of the staff of these forums need a holiday! Not many members understand the intense stress their responsibility puts them under and just how greatful we should be of them.
  19. What Sinner means in his nerdy admin language , is that the time you see for when posts are made etc. is the time you have set in your control panel. So VBBN's time is fine, even if it is out from the real time. It just means that you have your time set wrong on Eurobricks. Does that make any sense or is just as confusing as Sinner's explanation was to me? Sorry Sinner, we all love you.
  20. Ah, fantastic. Now this is certainly frontpage quality! Watch out when the PTV voting closes. Mental note to Zorro, REMEMBER TO PUT THIS ON THE FRONTPAGE!!! Remember, I know what half of the world you live in...
  21. No-one seems to have answered my question, so I'll ask it again: Either way I'm going to build an entry though!
  22. Just an off topic post, but this thread seems to have become a chat room for Sinner and Hink - I'm looking foward to their first argument! But really, cool new title Sinner!
  23. Um - no. As far as I'm concerned, piratesmonth should be the skin all year round!
  24. HOLY CRAP!!! Someone put this on the frontpage pronto! As soon as PTV is over, expect to see this on the frontpage asthis is AWESOME!!! The shape from bricks is brilliant as are the lines. Best ship I've seen!
  25. Well done! Although that camera doesn't hold half as much film! I like the snow on the mountains too. Keep up the good work mate! Hmmm. Pointless question as I already think I know the answer, but as I work for Classic-Pirates.com, a portal to Eurobricks, is there a possibility at all of me entering?
