Thanks for your kind words Bonaparte. And it looks as though you are quite right about my ship's class. If you have any spare time and could change the title, that would be great. Thanks again.

here comes the norwegian combine

Wrong - we DO know who Skinny Boy is, unfortunately. Just joking, welcome to the forum! -
Note: Update 1 is in post #8. Note: Update 2 is in post #23 Note: Update 3 is in post #33 Hello, It seems to be a very long time since I posted a MOC on Classic-Pirates.com, so I thought I'd share a WIP. This, as you can tell from the title, is the Grandeur. So without further ado, I present her to you. First, a shot of the entire ship so far: The bull figure head on the bow: And, thanks to Cap'n Blackmoor for reminding me, the stern: And finally, myself and Zorro discussing the shortage of rum in the shipyard supplies to complete her: I have a while before I need her complete, 5 months in fact, so I should be able to get some more done before then. Anyway, let me know what you think. Cheers, Captain Zuloo

Oops! I meant $2500 - I forgot an extra zero. If they were $2.50, it WOULD be worth buying 100!

Heheheh the good old Imperials and Imperials. Nice work. If I were in that situation, I think I would suck up to the Storm Troopers. Surely a Star Wars weapon is more powerful than a musket?

Hehehe - Interesting as how people suddenly start posting in full words with corret grammar. Anyway, welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoyed your first week here and continue to do so.

Awesome! You HAVE to email me those images for the softdrink cans and the "Create your own Pizza" sign. That is a really awesome MOC. Now all you need is a full sized Pizza Hut! Thanks for sharing. EDIT: I just noticed - there's no wheels on his trolley?

100 cannon battle???!!! Wow! What do you do for a living? Where did you aquire that sort of dollars? That equates to $250 Australian or something like that. But it appears you get a really awesome result with the pieces though!

Hmmm... What you're saying is a good motive, but suggesting that we buy more? All those members that have been waiting for pirates all this time have already spent as much as their pocket can allow, and I can't even buy them until JULY! when they are released in Australia. But I think the pirate line will be doing fine. Besides, if a kid sees a pirate ship or a Power Miners set on the shelf but can only buy one, I think most kids would choose the pirate ship. It just has that adventure and swashbuckling feel about it that everyone wants to be a part of.

It seems I have a different opinion to many of you. I like to build my sets, then I'll keep them until I need parts for MOCs. But I see no purpose in displaying someone else's design, with a few exeptions such as the BSB and Metroliner. But define 'playing'. If by playing you mean driving your pirate ships around the lounge room floor yelling "Fire!", then I suppose I play.

Brilliant! I love the hull of this ship! It has a very realistic look about it with the tiled decks, and the railing is awesome. I only have two things I could point out: The masts are too short for the lenth of the ship. You need to extend them. Can you do that with the BB masts? The cabin needsto be different from the rest of the hull. It needs more gold plating and statues etc. around it. But you said you weere going to rebuild the cabin anyway. This is a very good ship! Keep up the great work. In fact, fix up those minor details, and this could easily be Classic-Pirates.com frontpage quality!

Hehehehe. I know. But C3PO went on holiday, so R2-D2 is at the station to pick him up! (either that or I don't have a C3PO) Correct, the link I provided has no images on it. Why? Captain Zuloo wants to be difficult. Soonish I will start to shoot some teasers, as the layout still isn't complete. Although I have until the start of April. Anyway, thank you very much for your kind words. I feel honoured for someone who has a layout like yours to be commenting.

Thank you CGH. I will be taking some photos with some good light source set up when the layout it's designed for is complete. But I'm glad you appreciate my work in my first decent town MOC. I trid to use as many special techniques as my skill levels and brick supply would allow.

You don't have to use 1x10 bricks if you want a red stripe. You could always replace them with 1x4 and 1x2?
-
Very good. I really like this set, although I don't own it. My only pickle with it is that it isn't minifig scale. I know that if it was it would escalate the price HEAPS, but I would be willing to pay more for a good sized minifig ship. But great review. Perhaps you should ask one of the staff to make a poll for you?

Looks great Bonaparte! I bet you had a brilliant time with the others. But then, what else could you have had with two other brilliant LEGO MOCers? I note that the helm is situated below the poop deck, which is interesting to know after your Ship's Wheel Positioning thread. Anyway, thanks for showing us this, it will become inspiration for my next carg ship no doubt.

I know, but I ignored that - I'll take any chance I can get to say how awesome we are.

For me, this is the most dissapointing set this year. I mean, the slope bricks below the roof, they would once have been 10 pieces instead of 1 big piece. I find there are far too many large, non-reusable pieces in this set for its price. So this is a LEGO set that I will NOT be purchasing. Although those cows and I may have a bricklink date...

Hello, I like you MOCs, however may I just suggest that you post anything to do with pirates into the Classic-Pirates.com Pirate MOC Forum?
-
I know from the pirate forum that you can put them in cold, soapy water for a few minutes, and put them on a flat surface to dry. I haven't ever tried it, but I believe doing this a few times gets rid of most of the crinkles. I hope this helps.

All the best for today and the future IS! Have a very happy day, and I wish you plenty of LEGO (and love, care, all that sissy garbage ). Happy birthday mate!

Free Power Miners raffle, - the entries
Captain Zuloo replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Meh, I reckon the whole MOC thing is way more fun anyway. Who cares who has the best, it's just a bit of fun that coincidentaly has a raffle attached. -
I have uploded some better pictures in a lighter room. So have a look now. And no, there isn't any interior. When it's on the layout it's designed for, it's hard enough to see under the roof (the platform section) let alone the inside. But thank you for your kind words. I hope these pictures are better.

Free Power Miners raffle, - the entries
Captain Zuloo replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Now for my entry: I call this MOC: Oh dear, look what's happening to poor Zorro Sorry about the image quality, but it's the best I could do. And I took these photos on my layout, which can be seen here. I hope this passes as a valid entry. -
No worries. I look foward to working with you.
