  1. I'm finally done with the build ! It looks amazing, and is really swooshable. The bottom panels under R2 are probably the hardest part of the build, quite challenging to set properly. R2 himself is kinda hard to get into position, its body has really barely enough space to get in. Questions about the model : Nose : there is a little gap on the left side on my build, is it expected or did I miss something ? I'm thinking about covering it up with an additional 11477, would that be ok ? Canons : why is there blue pins on 2 of them in the red5 variant ? I don't recall seeing that on screen ? Now for some feedback on the instructions : Pages 63 to 68 : 3040pb010 and 3069bps1 disappear after being added on page 62, step 6 Same issue on pages 74 through 80 That's pretty much it, for such a complex build I really feel this all went very smoothly ! Oh and for a future update, may I suggest adding a way to store the "key" on the stand ? Would be cool
  2. Woops sorry : Version 9 (I received it by email after buying early version 8, very good customer service there), and I'm building the red5 variant (sorry blue leader, you're just not as iconic !)
  3. I finally got started on the build. Three remarks so far : As someone already mentioned, it looks like I ordered 3 times the pieces for the stand Page 14, step 2 : the piece count seems wrong, there should be only 2 1x4 DBG tiles (manual says 4) and 2 1x1 DBG tiles (manual says 3) Page 14, step 3 : this is a minor grudge, but one 1x1 LBG plate is floating at this step (resolved at step 4, but still) I did not get very far yet, but I'm already really impressed with the X-foils mechanism ! Everything comes together stunningly well.
  4. There was a 3 sets for 2 offer in France (FNAC) shops last friday, so i got 75206 (Clone battle pack), 75198 (Tatooine battle pack), 75168 (Yoda starfighter, for pieces mostly, but I'm hoping it will surprise me in a good way), 75209 (Han's landspeeder), 75208 (Yoda's hutt) and a base plate for 60€. The Tatooine battle pack really was a good surprise, first time I bought a battle pack since I don't collect minifigs (but I do need jawas and droids for Cavegod's Sandcrawler !) and I must say the micro-scale-sandcrawler-thingy in this battle pack is actually really fun, definitely worth a few € !
  5. Amazing ! Personnally, I wouldn't add more TIEs, and just move the TIE Advanced a bit more to the left. Let those fine ships breath :)
  6. US prices always amaze me, even with some thourough bricklinking I could not get it under 150€... But everything is ordered, can't wait to build it !
  7. Wow, just wow. Having a shot at a ship that was modelled so many times both in official sets and MOCs, and still coming up with major improvements is really impressive. Major question : is it in the same scale as your TIEs ?
  8. #2489 in LBG is part of the Voltron set, which means it could be available in bricks and pieces pretty soon ! Edit : in fact it looks like DBG :(
  9. I'm just considering collecting the pieces at the moment, didn't buy the instructions yet so I only have the rebrickable part list to work with. Nevermind, it should be enough to identify the main choke points :)
  10. To those already building this, are the printed tiles part of the original build ? I took the part list on Rebrickable to start estimating costs, and I did not see any printed tiles, which is puzzling :/
  11. Picked up the Rebels' AT-DP Polybag for €3.99 at the Paris Lego Store. Also, a LOT of LBG 30414 from the Brick Wall.
  12. Smooth ! Now i want to design one on a bigger scale :D
  13. There is quite a lot of pieces that don't exist on this MOC, or are quite rare. I am in the process of building it and I updated the lxf with my modifications, but since I haven't finished the build yet I'm not quite sure my tweaks all work as expected. Still, PM me if you want my lxf ;)
  14. It's actually quite clear, and makes sense ! I just bought the instructions myself so thanks for the feedback :)
  15. Sure, I just sent it to you by PM. For anyone else interested, just PM me and beware, it is a stud.io file and not an lxf :)
  16. Yes, for such small ships it is still ok I guess, but I switched to LDD for some ongoing bigger MOCs. It is a shame though, since LDD is basically dead while Stud.io is well maintained. I hope they add a way to generate instructions in a near future.
  17. I can see why you cannot slide it on, but what is the issue when building it directly on the spine ? In the instructions, the first stage of the column shows two identical bricks 1x2 with studs on one side, and then 15 with bricks with studs on 2 sides, which strikes me as a little odd. There might be a small hiccup there.
  18. I just love the dark red version
  19. Yup, they are a pain to find (though I'm starting to have quite a lot in spare since I order them everytime I get the opportunity). It works, I believe there actually was a smaller MG-100 MOC which used this technic. I did not go that way because the binoculars are bigger than the maxifig hand and the trans-clear round plate, making the gun look (a lot) bigger than the bubble :D Oh good to know, I felt a bit bad about adding it to my rebel fleet !
  20. Hi everyone, This is my take on TLJ's Resistance Bomber, in 1:250 which means it should fit perfectly (timeline put aside) with a certain Nebulon B and the rest of the Rebel fleet. Please excuse the poor lighting of the pictures, I don't really have a good setup yet. Front-side, with 2 X-Wings to escort the beast : Rear-side, show-casing the 6 engines and back turrets : Yep, 6 engines ! I saw some artworks with only five, but the movie does not lie : As for the turrets, there should be two guns but at this scale every solution I had was way too massive, so I went for a mini-figure hand, which gives us technically only one gun but a decent scale in my opinion. Finally, a big thanks to @Azrielsc for testing and correcting the early versions of my LXF file ! You're welcome to PM me if you want to get your hands on the LXF, I'll be happy to share.
  21. They do work but I sometimes got surprises when opening lxf files with stud.io. Some parts might end up completely out of place. In my case it was always quite obvious and easy to fix, but beware.
  22. Thanks for all the info, I actually feared a lot more than 4k parts, but this is still quite the beast :D I don't have 75189, I'll see if it makes sense to buy it (price-wise) before bricklinking the rest.
  23. Hi @Kozikyo86, Amazing work ! Could you please add some details, such as parts count and estimated bricklink price for the entire build ? It would help a lot in deciding if i can dream to build this or not (and thus buy instructions :D) Thanks !
  24. I love it ! It might prove a bit hard to reproduce it based only on these pictures, would you have a lxf file something similar by any chance ?
  25. @onderon The mandible door LXF is available here : http://www.lemonskin.net/io/11310#target-id5670 Edit: My bad, i misread your request ^^ just import it to bricklink, there are no problematic parts.
