[MOC] Vigilance - Venator class-star destroyer
m4st3rt3ch replied to thire5's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Amazing MOC, i want it! But looking at the brick count, my wallet says nope. On another note. Can i have some details about the hangar doors? Is there any kind of mechanism, do they slide? -

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
m4st3rt3ch replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I didn't follow the dark saber discussion very closely. I wouldn't be surprised of a normal hilt with a black/trans black 30374 bar 4L. Yes, a black katana is also possible, but a completely new piece? Does anyone really NEED that? -

It's so sleek, i needed some time to notice, that it is quite large. Really liking it. -

Excellent summary, thank you! My fear is, that at one point i could get frustrated with the process to that extent, i'd bin the whole project. I hope we'll see more offers like the ones from JB in the future.

What about Intimidator and Aggressor? EDIT: I'm asking, because instead of hunting for cheap pieces, i thought about buying MOC instructions and pieces from one source. JB Spielwaren for example sells both mentioned above as complete sets. Yes, they may be more expensive, but it sounds like a fair trade for the transaction being absolutely stressless. One order, a couple of boxes, all parts pre-sorted.

It's hilarious, how much effort you put into these vignettes. The whole composition is perfect. Greebling, background, lighting, focus, everything!

What Baseplate would you use for a Star Wars City?
m4st3rt3ch replied to Steverd's topic in LEGO Star Wars
How much of an sacrilege is it, to use non-LEGO baseplates, like the ones from Strictly Briks? -

New Lego road plates as hangar / landing ground ?

16x16 ~ $2 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=69958&idColor=85#T=S&C=85&O={"color":85,"iconly":0} and you need 4 2x4 tiles to fill the holes and some more to connect the plates. 8x16 ~ $1.40 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=71772&idColor=85#T=S&C=85&O={"color":85,"iconly":0} only 2 2x4 tile for filling Tile 2x4 ~ $0.10 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=87079&name=Tile 2 x 4&category=[Tile]#T=S&C=85&O={"color":"85","iconly":0} 32 tiles needed to cover 16x16 and you need plates to put the tiles on. It's definitely a lot cheaper to use the new road plates. For me that sounds like a very good idea. And you can mix the roads with plates/tiles for ground patterns. And you can do other thrings with the roads instead of just filling the holes with tiles. And you can use them as walls. Heck, i bet it will not take long and someone uses them as hull plating for capital ships. https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/032/704/clarkson.jpg EDIT: Scroll through this article, someone already used them for a hangar floor AND walls. https://www.newelementary.com/2020/12/lego-city-review-mocs-60304-road-plates.html -

Trans-Vader protoypes in 6 different colours
m4st3rt3ch replied to m4st3rt3ch's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't know. Neither the article on brickfanatics, nor the auction say how old they are and which plastic was used. https://www.brickfanatics.com/rare-lego-star-wars-prototype-darth-vader-minifigures-up-for-auction/ But i had the same thought: FORCE GHOSTS! And the momentary bid is €590, with more than 5 days left. I knew the estimated maximum of €540 was way too low. -
https://www.catawiki.com/l/45015013-lego-star-wars-prototype-darth-vader-rare Just wow. The estimated price is a joke. Sadly i don't have play money right now. They look fabulous!
