Hi my Fellow Buccaneers, Pirates, Smugglers, Imperial Admirals and so on, This Topic will include some other WIP Builds i made in Studio 2.0. And the current Status/Stage. In front of the Picture is a liitle ship i made for my Little Nephew. He will have his Seventh Birthday Early February. The SHip is out of WIP Phase. I only have to buld a instruction then its ready. (Ok i have to make some Custom Sails) I have all Lego Pieces i need. The Name of the Ship is "Motzkuh" its a name my Nephew gave our Make Belief Ship we played many hours. So its only the right thing to name it after the ship. I dont think i can translate "Motzkuh". Ok i try. Motzen is german and stands for moaning or grouse. (i searched on google) Kuh means of course cow. (Cow Skull as Figure Head) So the english name of the Ship will be "Moaning Cow" i think. The Ship behind the "Motzkuh" is the parrot you know of my other WIP Topic. This is its current building stage. It will be my ship and the price for the "Motzkuh" If you have a Pirateship you need a Merchant Ship to plunder. The Ship on the next Picture is an early Ship Design from Fall 2019 up to now. I edited it quiet a bit over the month. This is its current Stage. Its built on old Prefab hulls. (In Studio only the 16 wide from the Skulls Ey Schooner are ready to use, i think) In real i have the old brown Bow and Rear one and 3 Middle Ones. One from the Carribean Clipper i got 1991 on christmas. (Nostalgica) and two i bought on Ebay 10 years ago. This will be our (My Nephew and me) Representation of an Imperial Armada Carrack/Galleon InBetween Design. Its quiet large and bulky for the length of the prefab Hulls. I might overthink the design. I think i could make a better Hull Line like in the Captain Greenhair Tutorial. In this stage its over 2900 Pieces. Dont know if i can afford the Pieces in the next 2 years or so. The Ship on the next Picture is Design i based loosly on a Caravel i saw on Google. Its for my Brother. When Ship and Instructions are ready i will print the Instruction a give it as a Birthday Gift to my Brother. He has a big Medieval/Fantasy Army so he is in need of an Ship. The Two Handed Swords on the leftside are Designs i made on the Partsdesigner an Software you can also download on Bricklink. You can import Ready Designs of Parts or Decals on Studio 2.0. I made these only for aestethic Purpose. I have some Brickarms Two Handed Swords in real. I will post more WIP Designs in near future. And sorry for bad english. I hope i will advance in time.

Thanks Stoertebricker (awesome Nickname), yes i found two small white hull pieces on Brickscout. 2 years ago i managed to buy a not fully complete Version of the Imperial Armada "Flagship". When i first used Studio 2.0 i a 12 wide Ship with 3 Middle Hullpieces was the first i wanted to build. Same time i used Brickscout the first time and searched for 2 additional Hullpieces. I was very happy when i found them. The first version of the ship was to high above for a ship this wide. I had to reduce its height quite a bit. The Tutorial by Captain Green Hair was very helpfull. (Vorher hatte ich noch nicht bedacht das die Decks ja nicht komplett eine Linie haben sondern besonders am Heck aber auch am Bug etwas nach oben gehen. ) I think its a good idea to build more decoration on the Stern. Its build after an 17. th Century Ship to there must be a lot decoration. I could manage the real one in May i think maybe later. Have to aquire a lot of pieces for it. I have enough Mastpieces, anchors and Steering Wheels for the Parrot and i think 1 other Ship, but not enough Bricks, Slopes... When i get to Rigging i have to ask many questions because i have no idea, nor expertise to make it myself. Is there a tutorial on Rigging you can reccommend?

I really like this new Hair/Tricorne Piece. Would love to see a reddishbrown Hair one with Dark Blue Tricorne or a Dark orange Hair with Black Tricorne.

I think many people will vote for Bionicle in the first round. My fear is that if they get most votes on the second round LEGO will deside for another of the three last canditates. I think (iam not a Bionicle Fan, i have to say) that the Fanbase wants a SET with distinct Bionicle Features. Most of their parts, i think are retired. (correct me if iam wrong) Lego will not bring retired parts. Its a economical question. Lego knows a brick build Bionicle Set will not satisfy the Fanbase. Dont know why they included it in the First Place. I could be very wrong. But this what i think. I voted for Pirates, Ice Planet and Time Cruisers On the Subtheme Page i voted for the Islanders

The idea with the dummyports is really interesting. I read an article on the full rigged Pinnace (The Parrot should be a medium size version of this type). Some of them had dummy ports. I think let the colour stay at it is. With some added details maybe. Yeah you maybe right. I also thought about a brickbuilt one.

Hi, yesterday i was searching for pictures of the "Kalmar Nyckel" for my WIP Moc "Parrot". There i a website of this Ship, the "Kalmar Nyckel" https://www.kalmarnyckel.org/Index.asp On this website i found a page with a Lego Contest ending on March 1st 2021. https://www.kalmarnyckel.org/dy.asp?p=227 There are 3 Categories: 1. Build a ship with bricks in real. 2. Build a ship with the Studio 2.0 Software 3. Build the Kalmar Nyckel or the USS Delaware Attack Submarine. This Ship will then be used by Kids on all Shipbuilding Days. (Only Summarize, more info on the Website) There is also the opportunity to build spaceship on the first 2 categories. Dont know how active the Space Theme is on eurobricks. Maybe i also post it there. I myself will try to build a Ship on Studio, maybe not the Kalmar Nyckel. Would be a bit too advanced for me, at this point. Would love to see some Models made by you. And i think there is some who could make an awesome representation of the Kalmar Nyckel.

So i made a new Bowsprite/Galleon today. Here is a picture. Its far from the Photo but better than the last one. I wonder if its a liitle to big for the Ship. Its not ready i have to finetune a bit. Dont know if i use the 32200 ...

Thanks for your Feedback. :) Yes, 6 Cannons (5, one is not on board) is heavly armed for a mercant Ship, what in Reality would be less than 20 meters (without Galleon and bowsprit) I maybe overthink it. And do one less piece port on each side and give it maybe two more swivel guns. I had seen designs on this side. (and made a design myself last night.) The thing with the colour is a good point. Red and blue is also not my cup of tea. I thought of blue and bright light orange.... I also think that the galleon is too simple looking. I looked over some pictures of the Kalmar Nyckel. Yes the yellow one. I have a grey one. Maybe its not good to see. I have a new picture, more zoomed in. Maybe i go on search for a yellow one. The grey one looks not very good on a colourfull Ship. Would love to see a Pearl Gold one... Please Lego make one (Oh i forgot to say. The Cannon Design is one of Moc your Bricks Designs i have seen in his Cannon Vid on youtube.)

Hi Folks, I'm Captain Polluxx. Iam fairly new in this forum. Ok more than two years, but not very active. Iam a huge fan of the subforum Pirate theme and BoBS. Read and watched a lot in the last years. 2019 i heard of the software studio 2.0. It was a nice opportunity for me because had not much parts for building in real, besides a big collection of Minifigures. I had much time on using Studio last year and get More or less compentent in it. I should say this not my first Shipmod i began in Studio. There are a lot in the pipeline, all in different stages of completion. Some for a maybe build in real status (Like the Parrot) but also some i think i can not afford in next 20 years with possibly 5000+ parts. I have seen a lot of your builds and also the Captain Greenhair Tutorial on Frigates. I think i will make a ship with more elaborated techniques, but not now. Before i talk about my WIP-Ship i want to say that iam not a native english Speaker. I can understand really good but talking or writing is another thing. I hope i can make myself understood. So the Ship. It's current name is "Parrot", its a small/medium Mercantile Vessel. Its based loosly on a Swedish Pinassship named "Papegojan" from 17 th Century. I think modelbuilders know it. It's currently a WIP. I have some Screenshots i will post here. It will be a playset for me and my Nephew. We have an ongoing Pirate Campaign in real time dressed as pirates, and a nice Table with a Lego Pirate Playscene would be awesome. Feedback will be much appreciated.

Would love to see an Update on the Skull's Eye Schooner and a big Imperial Armada Ship for the new 18 + Line. Also i love to see some 12 wide Hull Pieces for small Ship Designs and a new 20 wide. (or 24...) I know its problematic, but i love the Islanders. Iam also "fairly" new in this forum. Greetings to all of you!

Wow love your ships! Iam a big fan of 17th century Ships. Recently i myself build some ships on an different software (studio from Bricklink). Also a little ship with the midsized Hull pieces you talked about in a different post. Maybe i post some of them in near future. Keep up this great work! :) Greetings from Germany.
