Personally, I think the admin's of the this site have the right as long is to the best interest to maintain and pay for their time for hosting a very good AFOL site and its classic to see members act like babies..For the best of our interest is to allow the admins to use the resources ( like a Hollywood agent) and promote with freedom , like the American way!!! (you hear "The Halls of Montezuma" in the background)

Today has been a very good day so far., My Xl motor was delivered from ToysRUs and it was for only $9.99 which makes them cheaper then the other counterparts. My 42068 Tanker chassis (tm) now its been confirmed that my design upgrades for the chassis is a success and i made a quick video on how it handles the 2 Xl motors.. I swear, it feels like a power drill !!! I also got a solar power panel for some led lights!!!

I found this from google, its about copyright images. it states you don't need to filed any paperwork to make it copyrighted and you may need permission from the artist. Then again, it only applies to America. https://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/copyright-fair-use-and-how-it-works-for-online-images/

@nerdsforprez that's is a very good idea.. I have a few small rubber o-rings and they fit tightly around connector. I would recommend over rubber bands. The higher rpm could throw your axles off from unbalance if you didn't wrap the rubber bands correctly . You can even use the rubber bands around the front bumper to protect from damage. I was thinking to use a can of spray on rubber but that might ruin the bricks. Rubber bands seems to be a better alternative.

Maybe on how to figure a sort of skid plates to protect the bottom of your model. I was using tape but that tends to foul up the differential if the tape got loose. I was even thinking of using the smallest rubber tires from Lego's city set and mount them at various places for an example, under the front bumper or any lowest point so it can roll over with the tiny tires. It would be odd to most but if you want to protect the bricks, what else can you do?? Taller tires would help..

yes I do agree about how suspensions should be handled. You should check out the Lego 42068 thread by efferman... I have recently made some mods and my latest video shows that the balloon tires are very effective over terrain with no/ little suspension added to the design. since it was a light weight model, balloon tires is sufficient enough!! please look at the thread... On the Buwizz thread it only states 10.4 volts or higher on ludicrous mode I was interested in purchasing the device but if it is a voltage hack then II can make my own.. Thank you for sharing your project

Dang, even Jim gets grilled.. I didn't even know using someone images of their Lego sets can be a bad issue.. I would of though if someone is using my image is just a fan. i guess claiming someone work is a big issue that happens a lot?? I didn't think having a Lego's image of your work could be protected by the law.... At least my images are from home.. Hey we all are humans and no one is perfect.. i know i'm not perfect... but I do like Lego's !!!!

Very impressive!! but it looks heavy..?? Very good endurance and workmanship!! The speed is awesome!! and don't feel bad on the rc controller.. I also have just started and the Lego controller i have is small !! Is ludicrous mode12 volt bump on the 9 volt platform???

Mobile Dockside Crane
sirslayer replied to doug72's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I use to work at UPS ontario airport and your crane look like the one at the airport. If you could add a lift and a fork lift, it can be converted into a 747 bin loader -
Lego Technic 42068 makeover and today i would like to introduce the Lego 42068 Tanker chassis (tm). This state of the art Tanker chassis replaces the default chassis with plenty of space to use.. A water, gas or hazmat tanker, . the ideas goes endless . Chassis hosts to my Iguana Technology and off road capabilities. Mud is not included Iguana

Lego Technic 42068 Semi-Tractor (aka Iguana) back to basic. I think i went mad!!! In its naked form, strip it to its basic frame. My semi-tractor has convinced me its almost done... well its just a frame with a lego xl motor and a m motor. the "iguana" drive train is advance lego technic design from me!!! .I would like to hear any comments!! This is my final prototype with the frame and drive and now to work on the body .. I believe i got most of the kinks out.. its very light weight and durable and not to small or big. in size. I like to call it fun size. . Not only I reinforced the chassis a little bit, the drive train is smooth and fast. No hiccup, no parts are falling off (well not yet) I really think Ill evolve my creation with tall tires !!!

The element is a Lego Technic DARK GREY BRACKET Axle and Pin Connector Block holder Part 61904 and this piece is usually found with Lego Linear Actuator. I just started myself a few months ago to be honest after a 15 year absent and got a few sets recently.. its actually does help me with my stress level and yes I agree its more like a model -c and the brackets/diff are not included in the set.. to make a pure model-c it needs to be 2 wheel drive since there is no way to make another differential with its limited parts. This is actually a my mod of the Lego 42068 Semi-Tractor (tm) due to the parts (outside) are special ordered or from another Lego set.. Model-c can be called a Semi-Tractor and the original designer of this set did a good job on this set as it looks like a tractor deep down to its frame. Its actually very strong and decently put together tightly and the pics were taken after a long run to see for weakness and your advice is very helpful and I did a drive around the block test to see where it can fail.. the back gears with the motor wants to slide off and the real wheels wants to slide off also.. I wouldn't mind if you started a wip as long you throw a sirslayer as a contributor out there!!! I would like to see this Lego set really take off but for a unknown its not that popular on this site.. I get more comments for this set on youtube.. :) if you seen my video's it does have great potential!! thank you Johnny1360 and oh yes my model does look a little rough and the stickers I have applied are being torn off, but at least their protecting the Lego pieces!! Update: The hub caps!! i just realized that the hubcaps actually prevents the wheel from sliding off and now i need to figure out how to reinforce the drive train without using many beams?? An hour run driving over rocks and boulders took some damage and rip out some of my reinforcements. I guess I need more skid plates!!! i will do a test run with no universal joints on the drive shaft and see what it tells me...

I just update my Lego 42068 Semi-Tractor (tm) with parts from older sets. I think it came out good.. Also, I wanted to share some pictures of the Semi-Tractor underside. I removed the battery lid and placed it to create a under skip plates with diamond plating sticker , but I don't like how it looks... I would also note that the battery pack was getting warm after hours and a couple pack of batteries. Do you think removing the battery lid can actually cool your battery if you can direct air into the compartment. Note though that any water is not good for the Lego battery pack and wouldn't recommend unless you can provide a water proofing methods.. please ask any questions.!!! Trying to design a trailer with the left over parts from the Lego 42068 and here is the under side and simple suspension..

The next mod for the Lego set 42068 makeover series is my Semi-tractor (tm) of the future !!! This version of the 42068 is at the simplest form. The set have enough parts to make a tractor and trailer. This version is a 4x4 off road Rc model. This is may favorite mod since its very fun to use due to it size. Only one XL motor is for the drive train and M motor for steering. This basic chassis can be expanded to a Bobtail or a Tanker or even a fire truck!! In the USA fire departments like to use gold foil and diamond plating.. I found some stickers at a hobby store and I was thinking to cut up a two liter bottle for a wind shield !!
