Some new nice parts from 10283 Space Shuttle are already available, e.g. printed 1*8 bricks or the new 3*3 slopes -
LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mr Ogel replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It is issue 69 containing Palpatine from 75291 - Death Star Fuinal Duel, sw1107, see BL https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?M=sw1107&in=S -
yes, it is live. An awesome build - looks really good. I am not sure about the use of the Sbrick but many will like it and I assume replacing it would be manageable.
-
according to this instructions it is 121 x 53 x 54 (cm) https://brick-collective.com/en/produkt/bb-02-nebulon-b-redemption/

There are some people on BL selling them and mentioning "genuine" Lego parts. So "night shifters" can be a correct guess. They also did it once even with the 9V micromotor.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Mr Ogel replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Same for me, no email received about shipment, no money asked. But bricks came already after 6 days and it was a big lot. -
that's pretty cool - even with articulating or turning. Nice scaping with all the angles making a very good impression. Luckily I downloaded the pdf already yesterday...

[MOC] [INSTRUCTIONS] UCS Tantive IV - CR-90 Corvette
Mr Ogel replied to Kit Bricksto's topic in LEGO Star Wars
yes, on page 28 and 32 both slopes are floating and will be fixed then on the underside of the slopes only. It is better to insert a missing 2x6 plate in the gap then the slopes will be secured. On page 33 the 2x4plate is fixed on the 4*10 plate overlapping only with an 1x3 area (same on other side). You can see it on page 46 when the build from 34 to 45 is mounted. -
[MOC] [INSTRUCTIONS] UCS Tantive IV - CR-90 Corvette
Mr Ogel replied to Kit Bricksto's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This snag is not on step 26 but on page 26... I encountered the same problem when I built it. The 2*8 brick is below the 4*10 plate and the second one symmetrically on the other side of the open square. Good luck with the next steps, you will need it... No, was kidding, the instructions are pretty good -

Cavegod UCS AT-AT Instructions | "Walker Assault"
Mr Ogel replied to Cjd223's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, it has no interior but it should be still possible to add your own one. I saw a full interior for the former version in the web. About rigidity you have to check if it is then still up to your requirements. Anyway I don't think it would survive throwing it to the bed not like Jerac's new Razor Crest.- 264 replies

yeah. it was worth showing the pictures. I like the opening door - it even has some interior. I am wondering if it is allowed to use a Ninjago Game controller for a Star wars vehicle. In the end the ship is in the wrong theme...

Reflecting the shape of a U-Wing with only two engines and taking colors from a Red Squadron ship this easily can be a SW ship. A nice color selection which makes it very interesting. Yes, more photos would be nice. Which pilot did you take?

Nice greeblings, good colour compostion - I especially like the sand blue curve and also the three engines. Overall a convincing concept. Actually I would not mind a jacuzzi...

cool - thanks a lot

[WIP] Straddle Carrier
Mr Ogel replied to Lasse D's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, nice to see the yellow version working, that's what Lego Technic is for. The steering of the red one works well - nicely done. But still back to the point that you need a rigid construction on the top of the carrier. The bridge carrying the container is in real life not made to hold the carrier itself together, it will just carry the container hold by the ropes connected to the winches on the top of the carrier. The point is that the force caused by the weight of the bridge and container is compressing the top and therefor bending the pillars - you can compare it to a beam bridge- would you like to drive such a bridge with a car when the pillars are bending? The yellow one is forwarding to force to the ground better since the track is also directly in the center of the pillars. You need to make the top and the pillars much more rigid, your grey liftarms are a first step on a longer way. See a real life description of such a beam bridge: https://science.howstuffworks.com/engineering/civil/bridge3.htm A nice challenge - stay on it and good luck! -
[MOC] Minifig Scale Clone Wars "The Twilight" G9 Rigger Freighter
Mr Ogel replied to IcarusBuilds's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A really outstanding build - proportions, angles and all features are matching perfectly the original. One of the most impressing model in such scale. If you compare the pictures there is nothing which can be improved. And as you said having sources which are differing gives you also a little freedom in designing your version. It is marvellous that you holded on to this project for such a time. We need more pictures and we wish you all the bricks you need for a fast build. Also that is not such easy to keep listings of what you still need when you are already building. Did I mention already that I am following this thread? -
Ninjago Movie Screen-Accurate Mech Recreations
Mr Ogel replied to GLAP23's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
@GLAP23, congrats to your creations and thanks a lot! I enjoyed following this thread since the beginning. In the meantime this thread is the one with most replies and views after the yearly theme threads and one or two exceptions under this theme. A fact you can be proud of and a sign of your good work. I personally downloaded the Fire Mech file, exported it now to stud.io and created a first pdf instructions which is maybe funny when you look at free floating pieces but will be a little tough when you wanna build it. So this Mech is on my list when I will come home after christmas holidays. In parallel I will work on the pdf instruction to get more familiar with stud.io. -
Problems with the Technic Skin
Mr Ogel replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
For me personally it doesn't matter since I am up to both themes anyway (and did not notice anyway explicitely before...). On the other hand I noticed some connections problems last day -
