  1. Much less glitchy than round one. So far pre-ordered windmill, bowling alley and Venetian sets (which all seem to be doing well early on). Still considering Lego shop modular....
  2. There has been some discussion in a different thread. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/187093-bricklink-designer-program-2021-discussion-thread/
  3. In my experience, it varies. However, it sounds like you are on track for it to ship out on previously announced date of November 8.
  4. Discussions of who is the most successful at anything are always a little suspect, especially if there is no agreed upon definition up front. It does seem like all of the people mentioned in recent posts are unarguably successful by at least one metric when it comes to the Lego Ideas program. Why not leave it at that.
  5. I have not seen what I would consider any trolls in this thread but it is easy enough: hover cursor over user name and click on ignore user.
  6. Just got reminder email that round two opens up on November 9th at 12:00pm PST / 9:00pm CET. If I had to pick the set I think is by far the least likely to pass through it would be Quest Builder. I don't know how much the lower pricing will help but science adventures is the second least interesting set to me personally and while I like the aquarium concept I would rather get something more substantial through this program. My favorite options in order are: bowling alley, windmill, Venetian homes, ruined house, Lego store and seasons in time
  7. For the popular sets, there is often a line long enough to deplete the store's supply before they even open up for business.
  8. If you are talking 2:30 pm, I think there is an extremely good chance your local Lego store's stock will be long gone by then.
  9. All true but worth noting that Bespin and Nebulon B were artificially limited in number as were initially destined for cancelled convention and that Mos Eisley came with limited Yoda lightsaber GWP. I imagine there are actually many additional examples over the past year and a half or so but did think supply was likely to be an issue with this set given popularity of subject matter, quality of set, ongoing supply chain issues and upcoming Xmas season.
  10. You guys should be able to check the status of your orders in your Lego account. US Lego site currently reads "Pre-orders closed, limited quantity available for backorder starting 11/8."
  11. As above, ordered shortly after midnight in US. Just received email saying back-ordered until December 7 and set no longer showing up for pre-order on-line so glad I got my order in. Fingers crossed, set should still arrive in time for Christmas.
  12. Also pre-ordered in US shortly after midnight. It will be a gift and didn't want to run chance of set selling out by November 8 in order to get different GWP.
  13. I enjoy several of those already mentioned. I will just add former Lego designer Tiago Catarino. I enjoy his reviews and like that he is willing to point out his perceived set shortcomings without being obnoxious about it.
  14. Here is the announcement link. https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/d528ac2e-a094-49cc-bd54-325e625faee2
  15. That and the quote from the builder's submission: "Hey friends! I decided to take a second swing at my Seven Dwarfs' House. Though, this time I thought I would stay true to the original version from the 1937 animated Disney Classic. The colours and facade, as well as interiors have been given an overhaul. There are also some other structural changes. This is my homage to the first ever full-length animated feature, and the Dwarfs' feel missed in the LEGO catalogue!"
  16. The thing with the Office set is I wonder how the designers will increase the sets interesting features / complexity. Most Lego sets, I wouldn't even know where to begin if you gave me a picture and all the pieces. However with the approved Office submission, I think you could give me a picture or two and all the pieces and I would be done and ready for the next thing within a few hours.
  17. I'm not interested but if it does make it, it will be Disney licensed.
  18. In that case, you are unfortunately going to be disappointed.
  19. Jazz Quartet and The Office are the official choices. Snow White and Seven Dwarves still being reviewed. LEGO IDEAS - Blog - LEGO Ideas First 2021 Review Results
  20. If it is not visible, how is it an eyesore and what does it have to do with the price of the set? As you allude to, Lego frequently uses a variety of colors on sections of models which are ultimately not visible in order to make it easier to follow building instructions. Nothing new here....
  21. All you have to do is make a purchase or redeem points once every 18 months to avoid having points expire but Lego will notify you if you are at risk of having points expire. From the Lego VIP terms and conditions: "All Points will expire after 18 months of no activity on the VIP Account. Activity is defined as earning or redeeming Points. The 18 months will be rolling and will be reset at the time of activity. LEGO Group will send you a reminder email to your VIP Account email 3 months before Points expiration."
  22. Sure. Just like other things, everyone has their own opinion. I recently finished a Speed Champions set. The set used four tires as tires. I found it to be quite clever and endlessly interesting. I will never forget the technique which was used.
  23. Using a propeller as a propeller qualifies as interesting part usage?
