  1. Hello, very nice! Can you post a picture of your village?
  2. Very useful yellow panels! Lego please make them!
  3. I'm building a volvo ec750e excavator in the size of the 8043 and the linear actuators / pneumatics are a little too short. A bigger excavator with the new sprocket wheels would require very long actuators / pneumatics. So, or the excavator will not have the new sprockets wheels, or we will see also bigger actuators / pneumatics. Or the new sprockets wheels will not be used in an excavator.
  4. @Sariel can you spot the new sprocket wheels applied to these wheels https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=15038c03#T=C (but with black rims). I'm thinking to improve the look of the 42030 wheels. Thank you!
  5. Yes, I did not understand where the photos of the real things ended, and where the photos of the Lego version began. Great job!
  6. Great job! Looking at the excavator I see that the first images "in motion" have been mirrored. Also in the movie are they mirrored? What to you mean with "The motion blur effect in the photos was achieved using practical effects" ? Again, many compliments!
  7. Very nice model, compact and clean design. Can you make a photo together with your previous model?
  8. I love this huge model! I like the pneumatic functions controlled by a remote control. What I don’t like is that it is very difficult to move the machine due to the tubes going to the remote, so I would have not motorized the transmission/steering. Another thing I think it is not 100% conform to the original is the shape of the front arm, and the attachment of the bucket in the wrong pivot. The most original feature of the model is the rotating seat. Summary: very very good job!
  9. I missed the finished model, I like it very much. Many compliments
  10. The solution is water spray ;-) Come on, it is just a contest, fantasy can go further than reality.
  11. Hello! I show here my entry to the latest Lego Ideas contest: the Volvo Excavadrone. This project born in my mind in the middle of the contest: at the beginning I was thinking about a modular construction machine, but it was not something “special”. Then I started thinking out of the box, and a flying machine was born! All functions are manual: Arm and bucket movement, with 3 Las Turret rotation Solar panel movement Flipping wheels/propellers Detachable operator cab Independent suspensions The model was a runner up winner of the contest, so I’m really proud of it. I hope you like it too.
  12. When the 2h list is revealed usually? During the toy fair?
  13. Question about the track loader: why did they use black panels with yellow stickers, instead of yellow panels? I know those yellow panels are very rare and expensive…… I also noticed a strange/new use of the small rollers inside the tracks.
  14. I like it very much, especially with the original tracked wheels. It looks futuristic!
  15. You are talking about 2 different parts. The new panels in DBG are the ones on the bonnet.
  16. Beautiful! What scale is the Mack, more or less? 1:20 / 1.21?
  17. Great! I like especially the shape of the bonnet and the front
  18. 1:17 is also my scale, I think it is ok for medium sized machines like the EC 160 E . Linear Actuator extension is good in my opinion at this scale, and you can always work on connection point to increase the range of movement of the arms. Concerning the progress so far, my suggestion is to check gear reduction of the tracks, and also tracks tension (they look a little "soft") Keep us updated!
  19. Hello! About functions: yes, 8043 is the basic point for me, maybe you can look at the "ultimate version” which is fully motorized. But the 8043 is much smaller than the EC750D in 1:20 scale, so you should increase length/width. I think the main problem will be the arm, you must make it bigger and stronger, but the length of the linear actuator cannot be changed, and this means you will have shorter range of movement. My suggestion is to reduce a little the scale of the model, to match more or less the dimensions of the 8043. Use the body of the 8043 as a comparison factor, not the arm or the tracks because I think they are a little undersized in the 8043. Keep us updated!
  20. Excellent work, I enjoyed very much reading the full story. I also appreciate how did you scale correctly the models, following drawings of real machines.
  21. The idea is very original, I don't know if it could be possible
  22. Yes there is some space around, but the new valves could not be placed where I placed the old ones. Maybe on the top, making the control even easier!
  23. Hello everybody, during this holidays I purchased the 42081 and decided to build it a little different. First, I made some minor changes in design, to look a little more similar to the "real" Zeux. I changed some color here and there; the yellow panels in the middle are different; the placement of the "02" adhesives is on the lower DBG panels instead of the upper ones. But the biggest MOD was to add the pneumatic system, with motorized pump, instead of manual LAs. The valves are located on the sides of the loader, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. There are 2 big cilinders (to rise the arm and the rear axle) and 2 medium (old) cilinders, to operate the bucket and the counterweight. Here you can see the last cilinder, the pump and the motor, located below the battery box: And here is a short video:
  24. Finally here is the video with the excavator in action.
  25. Very clever, functional and nice looking job! I really like the modular concept. I think I will "stole" your idea of the 3-way tipping body What scale is the model?
