Great job. This is the one vehicle from the new trilogy that I really like. I’ve been thinking of getting one to mod up like you did. This might make me have to get one to start work on.

[PRESS RELEASE] 75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017
stormtroopercaptain replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I doubt we will see discounts on it until after Christmas if at all. And it’s gonna be around at least through the end of the year. There is no way they don’t have it stocked on shelves for at least one holiday season. -

[MOC][INSTRUCTIONS] Ebon Hawk MIDI-scale

I like the second version with the engine block sticking out from the main hull. I find with Lego building to a hard scale size can compromise proportion and other features that I think are more important than perfect scale. -

The mud trooper to me has a more imperial army look to it than stormtrooper. Both the chest plate and helmet look more like what General Veers put on for the battle of Hoth than a variant of stormtrooper. Maybe we are gonna finally see some more non stormtrooper troops in action. -
Well that’s a glorious monster. I want to build one of these so bad but I have to much in the works already.

Super excited I’ve already been collecting parts for the orginal and the interceptor. I’ll be adding this to the list.

I always loved this ship. I do think it was supposed to be a little smaller than the falcon. Your build is awesome and has great detail for the size. And who cares if you had to cut some parts to make it. It’s your build do it the way you want.

Pictures are working. Also so great little mini build. Gets the idea across how many engines should there be?

Very nice and welcome to the forums. I do wonder though what kind of strange vegetables the jawa next to the droids is selling. I cant image jawa food being any good.

I’ve Decided to replace most of the black on the front nose with dark grey. The circle frames around the turrets will stay black but everything else should change. Im also adding a little more dark grey to the slopes on the wings. The one problem I’m having is the technic wings are not available in the new greys. So the ones between the front doors stick out. The only thing I can think of is to replace the arches below in black and make it a stripe of black. Once i I get in the new bricks and make the changes I’ll take some better pictures.

The instructions are pretty good. The only change I might make is the order of a few things and maybe a few more sub assemblies. But it’s not really needed if you look ahead and think about what your doing. Honestly the changes would be so much work it’s probobly not worth the effort unless the design gets updated again. The only issue I had was I ran out of 1x4 plates (need 3 more) but I probobly miss counted when I made my pile. I thought I was gonna add a lot more of dark grey and black after building it but I really like all the medium grey. What do you guys think? Again thanks for putting this together the model is super sturdy and looks fantastic. Eventually I’m gonna build a second one to add to my Imperial ground forces. Right now I’ve got to finish my AT-AT.

First off I want to thank jbb_777 for original design and the great instructions. I finished the imperial version of the gunship tonight and took some quick pictures. Please forgive the poor picture quality. I just took some quick ones to show it off. I’ll take better ones in the next few days. I swapped all the white for med stone grey and red for dark stone grey and black for the green and some other parts due to cost. I may add more black or dark stone grey. Please let Me know what you guys think.

This is awesome I’ve recenty been replaying the game. I would love to have one. About how big is it in real bricks? I’ve really been in love with “midi” scale ships lately. They are nice because you get great detail and like you said not to expensive. Plus I can have lots on display at one time. -
I’m just waiting on my last three elements to come in and I’ll be able to start putting together the imperial edition. I’m hoping they get here tomorrow as I have the day off work. I swap all the white for either dark or medium stone grey. I did use black some places. I’m going to build it then maybe adjust the color palette once it’s built. If all goes well I’ll have pictures this week.

Whats going on with the 75192 Falcon availability??
stormtroopercaptain replied to mattaddiction's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My guess is that they did underestimate the first wave of demand. And now they are trickling out of the factory which results in them selling out quickly. This creates a perception that there are none. making the collectors/scalpers buy more which feeds the out of stock. It’s a cycle it will even out eventually just gives me more time to save the money and find a place to display it. -
[MOC] Battle of Kastria 1: The Hermit
stormtroopercaptain replied to IGUNNUK33LU's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It looks good I like the use of the back drop. It gives an idea of depth. I defiantly see an old broken homestead. The only thing I would change is the ramp up but that would be piece heavy. Good luck on the next one I’m looking forward to the story. -
I build this as well. It takes some time to get the pose right but looks amazing once it’s posed. I had it up on a shelf for a month or two before I knocked it over I then built the stand. Really the stand doesn’t help a ton and it’s one more thing to mess with. If it is going on a sturdy place with very few bumps it should be fine.

[WIP/LDD] Star destroyer 1:250
stormtroopercaptain replied to Midlife-crisis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I’m planning a much smaller build than this and the width of a ISD is wider than most realize. After taking measurements of good official drawings and pictures of the empire strikes back studio model it looks to be in the area of about 1000 meters wide given the standard 1600 meter length. Which I have seen listed one or two times listed as the width The problem with lego is we are limited on angles. The wing plates only come in certain angles and none are really right. They don’t give the right width compared to length. So we usually end up with narrower destroyers. -

It would be awesome if you could print a high quality shot of a Star Destroyer and put it up on the wall. It would be like it was flying out of the wall. Have to find a image at the right angle to pull it off. -
That is very nice. I agree with guard I really like what you did with the cockpit.
