    The new X-wing looks great. I’ll defiantly grab one soon after release and I’ll probobly do a recolor as well. I’ll defiantly upgrade the cannons and drop the shooters though.

    I think a UCS rebel fleet would be a different idea. You could have a home one and medical frigate. Throw in a few smaller support ships and I think it would be a cool display set. The build would be fun as you would have a different ships.

    The proportions are much better on your new model. The super structure and bridge look way better and feel part of the ship. The old model they seem too tall and kind of disconnected from the rest of the hull. Very good job.

    Cool I hope we get to see more of this walker. It’s a nice bridge from the AT-RT of the clone wars to the AT-ST.

    Very good looking. I need to take a crack at one of these. Wish we could have seen it more on screen. How did you decide on the height? I haven’t seen any good images of it. It did defiantly feel shorter than an AT-ST.

    Yea the gunship at one point was claiming to carry 75 troops before the new cannon. Which even the larger movie look could not pull off. @JoeChu1980 is right I think even that 30 troops number seems high for what we have seen on screen. Both versions more likely carry around a squad (9/10) of troops. Also I really do like your version always thought the set seemed to large. I also agree the cannons need to be smaller and maybe a little lower into the wings. But that just being picking.

    There is some variation from the films and clone wars. Visually clone wars gunships are more enclosed and seem to be a little smaller. The clone wars ones often drop the ball turrets. The old legends universe had them at 28 meters and new connon has changed that to 17 meters. Basicaly this has been explained that as the war went on the gunships were altered and there are variations of them. I think the old legends made them too big and new cannon has made them a little smaller to match clone wars version. The film version seems to be somewhere between.

    This looks amazing. And great photography too. What are the demensions? It’s got too be a couple feet at least.

    Very cool build. I love the detail in the rock work and the inclusion of old and new grey.

    I’m torn about this set I really love the sentinel shuttle and sand troopers. But I don’t need another R2 or obi wan. I would have loved more troopers or even another Tusken raider would have been better. I’ll probably end up getting it and see about fixing the shuttle up.

    Those troopers look great. Now I’m gonna be real broke. I’m going to have to 50 sets of arms for my full platoon.

    I know it’s unlikely but I hope if we get mudtroopers they are not completely covered in mud. We just don’t get imperial army represented much and it would be nice to have a way to build up some regular army troops. I’ll still get a bunch if they are muddy.

    Thinking about building this beast. I do have one question for Renegade Clone or anyone you have built/purchased the instructions how much structure is inside the orange cargo pod? i have a project in mind that would involve making that either removable or at least modified/replaced with a different type of cargo container. Edit: looks like it would not be removable as there is quite a bit of structure down in there from some pictures I found elsewhere.

    I seem to remember reading somewhere that all shore troopers are non commissioned officers. Can’t find where I read it now. From what I understood was as a specialist they would split up and act as squad leaders of standard stormtroopers so I think the idea is the average shoretroper is a corporal or Sargent and the blue markings are staff non commissioned officers and officers. Not sure but my guess is but I could be wrong. No blue = corporal and Sargent blue shoulders and small chest stripe = staff/first/master sergeant etc blue upper chest = all officer ranks Markings more distinguish groups of ranks than specific ranks. Also ive never seen a complete break down of ranks in the stormtrooper core like I’ve seen for the imperial navy and army. I always had the impression there are not that many different ranks in general.

    I found this phot that shores some of the ranks. This will help. The arms are not really available from lego. So if you want it more accurate you’ll have to paint or have custom printing done. As for the torsos all three are avaible between the three versions that have been released. And they all wear the same helmet. Also found this page the 501st has the costume standards. http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Pathfinders_CRL When I assembled my squad I was lazy about it. I used the poly bag trooper as the commander. The one that came in the tie striker are my NCOs and then the rank and file from the battle on the scarif set.

    I’m on board with new speeder bikes/scout troopers. It seams like this year is all about Tatooine. We got the cantina, Jawa battle pack, sand speeder and soon the sand crawler. I hope this means they are going to some what stick to themes/locations down the road for OT sets. It would make buying multiple sets better as they will fit together better. Maybe next year will be an Endor year.

    Yea if people have an issue with it there are more than enough cheap ways to get a standard chewie. He’s in a micro fighter now.

    In my experience the blue and white bricks are the most prone to warping and discoloration. Me and a few people at our local lego group talked about it last night. It seams the blue is known to be problematic in older sets.

    I haven yet put the newest version together but in an aggressive crouch position my 2.0 has been very stable. I had original built the stand but found it just another thing to have to mess with when posing.

    Yea this looks really great. I did not hate the version in the battle pack but this blows it out of the water.

    I have tried to download the LDD file and it is giving me a redirection error. Even after I add it to my drive i get the error anyone know how I can fix that? Figured it out Safari and google drive don't play well had to use chrome.
