  1. Heh, flying locomotive. I noticed that I missed a stud whilst repainting the back end. Whoops!
  2. Well, I submitted it to Lego Ideas, and it's gone through the first stage. I'm calling it 'Alstad'. My Lego ID is Amnistic. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/30877b62-576f-43d5-ba9e-dea4a35b3ef6
  3. Hello, CIS Droid! We're all friendly. There's a part of EB for everyone, depending on what you like building.
  4. Well, It was designed as a power functionless locomotive. I wouldn't be able to fit a motor or the wiring into the locomotive.
  5. I made a small Diesel Shunter in LDD, and it looks good! Front view Back view Side View Cab view. Now why don't Lego do sets like this?
  6. I think you deserve a mention on the front page. That detailed cab. Really well done with the wiring, nice and clean. Also, love the fact that you have a very detailed water tank and combi bunker, which hides the charging port. Very well done!
  7. Oh wow, that's some detail you got there!
  8. I must have high pain tolerance because I never feel pain when stepping on lego. The only injuries I usually get is when prizing two pieces apart that neither of my brick separators can separate. The injuries usually happen when I'm using my smallest flathead screwdriver. They don't call them automatic binding bricks for nothing!
  9. Recently, I ordered two chasis plates and the lego city advent calendar from the official store. Today I ordered a 1x2 storage brick from amazon.
  10. My take on this is...why aren't the collectors actually building their rare sets? The thing looks more impressive when they are built! btw, the Highest price Emerald night has got is roughly £2K on amazon. Ouch.
  11. So, from left to right, we have the 0-4-4-0T mallet, with whistle and lights attached. Next, we have an 0-6-2T which has the driving wheels of the Emerald night set. In the middle is a diesel locomotive which I affectionately call the Iron Workhorse. That one has got two 9v motors. Sadly, the rail connectors frayed, so it's gonna take a while till I get around to replacing them with the Power functions motors. Next to the Iron Workhorse, we have a dual cab diesel. using tannoy pieces as the horn. And this also has two 9v motors. (Me thinks 4 PF motors are going to be needed here.) And last, we have the GE 44 Tonner variant. This, ladies and gents, is what happens when imagination kicks in. EDIT: By rail connectors bieng frayed, I mean this: Ech.
  12. I would like to see set 7898, Cargo Train deluxe, 4558 Metroliner, 4553, train wash and 4563, Load and Haul Railroad. And yes, Emerald night.
  13. I do have the 9v track, but the wires that connect to the dc control unit are frayed. I'll need new connectors. All four of my 9V motors are on my two diesels.
  14. One of the quickest builds. Side view Front view. I need to have more lighting. And the back, complete with jet engines.
  15. Really nice locomotive, lots of detail, especially the front, back and pantograph.
  16. Probably one of the easiest builds for me to do, it's my take on the GE 44 tonner. Yes, my desk is a mess. Above, is the front end of the locomotive. Side of the locomotive, And this is the back of the locomotive. This is the shortest locomotive that I have built. the difficult part was the roof.
  17. The chasis was actually built from scratch. If I had used a lego chasis, it would probably end up looking like a Heisler geared locomotive...Now why am I missing playing Trainz: A New Era?
  18. On the topic of articulated locomotives, this would have been a nightmare to create in lego: That's right. the Union Pacific Huge boy. A triplex, so to speak. I reckon that would need 12 blind wheels and 12 flanged wheels. and let's not get started on the tender, trailing and leading bogeys. Thank goodness this did not get past planning in real life.
  19. Bloomin heck, she's smoother than a babie's tush! Really well detailed, the electrics must have been hard to sort out.
  20. Here she is. Not sure what to call her. Using BigBenBricks Medium blue drivers. I honestly think I need more blue bricks, Also, It's not as streamlined as I would like it to be. Above, the rear bunker. And here we have the front bunker. Because running out of coal during a long journey sucks. As I said, I think I can do better with this one.
  21. The bellows connection must have been tricky to put together. It's an awesome train.
  22. Hello there, I'm Steamdemon. The first LEGO set that I can remember getting is Coastal Patrol, 6483.
