  1. For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast, And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed; And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill, And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still!
  2. Thanks! you're too kind. The shoulder masks were a last minute addition but I think they really bring it all together. Thank you! The color scheme was something I had been wanting to try out pretty much all year but could never quite get it right. I'm glad to hear it worked this time around. Cheers!
  3. - Eons ago, before Gorm's takeover, the Amphibibs made their mark on the Outer Realm. With his powerful force ax and telekinetic powers, Agamemnon struck fear into the hearts of all those who saw him. - I find to be G1 hard to use. I think it paid off this time though, as I feel like this is perhaps my best moc of the year. Let me know what you think!
  4. Thank you! I recently had a windfall of this piece and was looking for a good way to use them. The innards are a bit more complex than they may appear, but I generally try to use as few pieces as possible. Glad to see it worked. Thanks! But is it a ship...?
  5. Thank you! Unfortunately, I can't take credit for that though. I saw it on a moc at Brickfair Virginia
  6. 2066, The motherland's greatest defender, Comrade Gregoriy is the heavy weapons specialist of the infamous Ursine Assault Unit. More photos
  7. Associates Chosen, Targets Assigned, History Rewritten. A moc built in the style of Leonid An as a secret santa present/thing.
  8. Generally, people who build bonko mocs with masks prefer to use the metru heads. they're a bit more versatile, more common, and it uses fewer pieces than a mata head
  9. Unlike most Dragons, Sassafras doesn't really care for riches and maidens. Just the next meal... more photos My entry for Jayfa's Dragon contest over on Instagram, dragonsbyjayfans . In fact, all my remaining uploads for the year are all contest entries. Upload schedule's gonna be a bit messed up, but it means more mocs in the end so I think it works out.
  10. Alright sure, Squidney's an octopus. But she doesn't care. and neither should you. More mocs I've been building a lot of smaller mocs recently. Nothing worth posting on their own but I thought they might make a nice collection. I think you'll like them. I have one more moc to post this month so stay tuned!
  11. A mighty Nordic warrior, Odd Thorgalson has survived more battles than expected for a man of his age. It seems like the only thing that can stop him is old age... More photos As some of you can probably guess, this moc was heavily inspired by one of my favorite Bio-Cup 2018 entries, Dylan Mievis' Gærrar Valbrandsson . Just a bit more muppet-like.
  12. A miserable creature, this Wraith is said to extinguish all life it touches... More photos
  13. TARGET ACQUIRED. EXECUTING SIGNATURE TECHNIQUE: GENSHIRYOKU TAIHO!!!! flickr more photos Can you tell I've been watching One Punch man recently? Originally this MOC was supposed to be Silver, Purple, and Azure. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough Azure to complete it in its original form. However, I think this works too. This MOC was also supposed to carry a weapon similar to Vulcan Raven from Metal Gear. But the arms and shoulders didn't allow for that, and it had to be scrapped. Oh well.
  14. The render makes it a bit hard to see some of the details, but it looks right in line with the inspiration you linked. Well done.
  15. Thank you, but I think its more like the rest of the moc fits well with the torso lol. I'm no expert, but as far as my experience moccing with Galidor parts, it definitely works better with CCBS than g1 bionicle. Gorm, the set that had the torso this moc uses, is about the same height as a SW constraction figure. He's much more solid and heavier though, and with much fewer pieces. It is a nice building system though. Its pretty intuitive and the molds are wonderfully sculpted, but it can be difficult to make anything good out of it unless you have a lot.
  16. Thanks! The head is actually how this whole build got started. I think the whole moc is a bit rough around the edges but I'm glad to hear its recognizably Blade Wolf.
  17. A powerful soldier whose lust for conquest knows no bounds. Just the sight of his brilliant club strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies... more photos flickr A moc made right after Brickfair Virginia using a wide variety of constraction elements. I loved how the crystal Hau looked with Nepol's staff and how they both looked with the very striking Gorm torso. It's a shame that Galidor suffered the fate that it did. It's a great building system.
  18. Our mission is to spread freedom? If so, then why am I never offered a choice..? more photos (including reference image) An adaptation of the character of the same name from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. not a perfect copy, but I think its alright for the scale I was working at and the pieces I had to work with.
  19. A wise old robot seeking greater knowledge. He does have a bad habit of rambling on though... More photos An older MOC of mine. sort of a followup to Lucas, he's another silver robot, but this one has a bit more of a theme. Can you tell that it was built around the time of the saints collabs...
  20. I appreciate it. The colors a bit boring but I did my best to organize them as such. The spiked motif with the stronius armor with the kk armor was absolutely intentional, but the textural inconsistencies would be the difference between the super smooth upper arms and not-so-smooth lower arms. I don't really dislike it, I just think its a boring MOC and it doesn't have the personality that my more recent MOCs do. I can recommend a few servers if you like. There's a lot out there but only a few that I would recommend for good feedback.
  21. Yeah, MOCpages is in a bad state right now so it'd be best to avoid it. There were good builds there but I'd bet most of the best people on MOCpages were originally from other websites/communities. I can't say I've ever used ReBrick. Quite frankly I've heard next to nothing about it. Flickr is typically where MOCists like to go. If you do get back into MOCing the best thing to do is get really involved with the MOCing community, and I think that's easiest if you join Bionicle discord servers. Then it doesn't really matter what website you post to.
  22. By MOCpages, I'm referring to the kind of style of building that MOCpages, either intentionally or unintentionally, tends to produce. It typically involves masked humanoid Toa MOCs with an inconsistent use of textures, poor color blocking and layering with two-tone colors schemes, a misunderstanding of proportions, blocky builds with heavy technic frames, "heartlights ftw", using story to justify bad designs, and a reliance on telling the character with words rather than showing it through the build. it's mostly a byproduct of the community there since they don't like to give out criticism and they generally don't handle feedback well either. Since there's little constructive criticism going around, they end up with weak builds that often aren't aesthetically pleasing. I defined this MOC as MOCpages since its a Toa moc with the two-tone color scheme, subpar texture and color work, with no personality in the build. I know that sounds like me whining about a MOC that I don't like but I don't really mind it. I just think its a bit lacking compared to my other builds.
  23. A wandering Toa, haunted by the deaths of his fallen comrades... more photos A MOC that I've had sitting around for about a year now. I didn't put it up since I have much much better MOCs sitting around. I figured if I didn't post it now then I'd never get around to it. Its veeeeeeeeery MOCpages but that's the style I was doing when I built it so whatever lol.
  24. its a bug
  25. Though he may appear gentlemanly, the necromancer always has a trick up his sleeve... Flickr post More photos Originally built for the Knight's Kingdom open collab on Flickr. When I realized I no longer had my Vladek head, he was transformed into what you see now. Heavily inspired by Patrick Bigg's Nuju.
