  1. Thanks! Thanks! I saw that somewhere and had to implement it! Yeah, I figured that face could have duel meanings... it was the only one that fit the build!
  2. Wow! Welcome to Eurobricks!
  3. Developments in Quinnsville! For those of you who may have noticed, I am working on restoring the forgotten settlement of Quinnsville back to it's former glory before @Tomsche left Bobs. I've created a new settlement thread which you may have already seen by now. So, what I would like to do is invite you to come build in Quinnsville! The settlement is in need of some new buildings such as residences, factories, artisans, etc. I can't offer any rewards for doing so like my friend @Drunknok can, but I would certainly appreciate the support! If you can spare some time and a license or 2, I would be most grateful! Also, if you want to collab, just let me know! Thanks all and brick on!
  4. Surely this is a vessel that will strike fear into the hearts of our enemies! Load the hairballs chain-shot into the cannons immediately!
  5. So, what do you all think about this ship? It is a modified version of my copper hulled heavy frigate. This one has a whopping 56 guns on it, which is up from 40 on the copper hulled version. Colors aren't finals either, I just didn't render any with more than brown. 56-gun Heavy Frigate 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr

  7. Quinnsville Public Records Building QV5.2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr As Royal Surveyor of Quinnsville, Richard figured that the first thing he should do is make a round of all the important building throughout the Town. He first stop was the Quinnsville public records building. Inside was a massive bookshelf, that held all the information about the settlement, the surrounding area, and everything that went on since it was founded. QV5.4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Richard decided to ask the clerk about some of the history of the settlement and some points of interest that he might want to visit. Having been there for many years, the clerk was more than helpful. QV5.3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Dear Governor Cooke, Today I visited the public records building, and my, what a splendid building it is! Sir Smaugton certainly had an eye for fine craftsmanship. How unfortunate it is that he has not been heard from in such a long time. Inside the interior was in a slight state of disorganization, (much like the settlement itself) however the clerk on duty keeps the massive bookcase filled with the history of Quinnsville in perfect order. I was able to learn much about the settlement after sitting with the clerk for several hours and have developed a plan of action for Quinnsville. I will keep you informed as I progress through the settlement. In service to her Majesty, Richard Brickford, Royal Surveyor of Quinnsville Thanks for checking out the latest build in Quinnsville! When I license the build it should bring Quinnsville from a Town up to a Large Town. More builds to come in future so stay tuned for further developments! C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking!
  8. Awesome build Garmadon! Great details on the wharf! Would have been nice to see a ship rather then just a gangway, but it doesn't take away from the build at all. Nice job!
  9. Outdoor Sausage Smoker, licensed as a small commerce. ML Food Stand by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Flying Fish Fountain, Licensed as a small arts & culture. ML fountain by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr
  10. Flying Fish Fountain ML fountain by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr On a peaceful path not far from a outdoor sausage smoker, is a serene fountain called the Flying Fish Fountain. No one is quite sure how it got that name, because of course, fish don't fly... at least not unless someone is throwing them. Then they can fly quite far... Here a WTC Marine is enjoying a perfectly cooked sausage while taking a relaxing walk next the fountain. This is my second build for @Drunknok's April WTCM rewards. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking! It will be licensed as a small arts & culture.
  11. Outdoor Sausage Smoker ML Food Stand by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Next to a small stretch of road that is frequented by WTC Marines, a wise old cook has set up a sausage smoker! Fueled by coal that is from the local Mesabi Landing coal mine, the fire never stops and as fast as the sausages are being made, people keep coming to buy them! ML Food Stand 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr A simple process is used, someone shovels in coal as the cook does his thing on the grill and rakes in the money! This is 1 of 2 builds for @Drunknok's April WTCM rewards. I thought it would be a fitting build for Mesabi Landing. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking! It will be licensed as a small commerce.
  12. Thank you! Yeah, a door would look nice on left... I'm not really sure if it's possible... there aren't really many options for bluerender. All you can do is change the resolution and the background color...
  13. Lol! Had you not mentioned it I never would have thought twice about! It just fits so seamlessly with the whole aspect of the build!
  14. Great mash-up of a few of your builds! Ships look great and of course I am a big fan of your tavern!
  15. Nice looking gunboat! I like the hull shape a lot!
  16. LOL! Yes, bluerender likes to turn everything shiny! No need to apologize! I never really thought of a vignette in that way, but I do think your right. I'll keep that in mind for future MOCs. Thank you!
  17. Great build Drunknok! Nice overall shape, and I like the fact it is on a pier! The lower floor is also a cool idea. Keep up the great work!
  18. Ship level increase build Ship increase by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr With the new shipyard that was built in Quinnsville, there would need to be more men in order to sail the ships that were being built! Long know as a seafaring town, it was no surprise that able-bodied men willing signed up aboard these new vessels. This is just a small vignette to show my personal ship level increase. Nothing overly special and I don't believe that it would qualify to be licensed build. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking!
  19. That made me laugh out loud! This is a fantastic build! Great design work and awesome details! Keep up the outstanding work!
  20. Pretty nice building you've got there! It's got a nice island, rustic look to it. Keep up the good work!
