[COR - Sistership] A Show of Resilience
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Indeed it does! Thank you! I found them for $3.99 on ebay. Still pricey, but a dollar is a dollar! Thanks! You can take the arms off if you want, but the easy way is just to turn them behind the minifig, slide on the coat, then turn the arms forward. -
[COR - Sistership] A Show of Resilience
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you! -
A Show of Resilience The lose of the mighty HMS Resilience was a hard blow to the moral of Her Majesty's Royal Navy. The devastating defeat to the Loti warships in a failed naval encounter resulted in one ship captured and the Lightning - which once defeated a fleet of 3 black-flag pirate vessels singlehandedly - being set ablaze and sent to depths of the New Haven Sea. The only solace was in the destruction of the Resilience by a small crew aboard a fireship. 20200921_183522 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Today, Mayor Brickford is out on one of the many piers of Quinnsville's always busy harbor with Captain James Earling watching through a spyglass the newly commissioned Ships of the Royal Navy, the HMS Indomitable and the HMS Thunderclap. May Poseidon grant them protection as they sail under the flag of Corrington and for the Queen! ----------------------------------------- A small Sistership build to use one of the two free sistership licenses that Corrington has won during Challenge III and to show off my new bearskin shakos! One license will be used to sistership the HMS Resilience. C&C are welcome and apprecieated and thanks for looking!

[COR - MRCA] All Things Come to an End

Well, if the WTC wants to construct a new prison afterwards, I'm sure the good mayor Brickford could let it slide just this once! -

Thanks! We shall certainly see! Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Well, the WTC does have a presence in Quinnsville... Just saying... -
Easily one of the best and most enjoyable sets I've ever purchased. As to popularity, it was sold out after only about 2 weeks of being available. So... yeah, a lot of people wanted this set. It took almost 3 months for lego to resupply, at least here in the USA.

They have a very satisficing look when they are all stacked up like that. I have also used them on the rear of a brick-built cannon.

I personally think it adds some nice contrast to a military uniform. Civilian use is limited though.

Nice ''wooden-clad'' you've got there! Looks like it would work pretty good against small shot. A 48 pounder might do it in though! -

All Things Come to an End The time of reckoning has once again made the loop and entrapped the infamous pirate Bluebeard. Twice a feared soul to behold on the open sea, in command of his mighty pirate fleet, he will not be allowed to return thrice as the Nation of White, Black, and Red will make sure that all things come to an end. 20200920_205741 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr He outwitted the best of the seas and escaped capture more than once and even befuddled the Queen's guards, yet he challenged the guns of one to many a Corrie vessel and this time his luck has run out. 20200920_205806 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr The Indigo fought hard and yet it's guns fell short as they were no match for those of the Queen's aboard the Juniper. A quick stay in a Quinnsville cell followed by a short trial and a swift hanging will be all that is needed to ensure a fitting end for the once mighty pirate Captain Bluebeard. ----------------------------------------------------- A small MRCA Result build for the capture of the infamous Bluebeard! C&C are welcome and apprecieated and thanks for looking.

A Compendium of Corlander Military Units
LM71Blackbird replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Unit Name: Royal Society of Navigation and Discovery Marines Unit Type: Marines Picture: Description: RSND Marines are volunteers from the regular Corrington Royal Marines who wish to both protect Her Majesty's interests and explore new and uncharted lands under the banner of the Royal Society of Navigation and Discovery. Accordingly, their uniform is more suited for island exploration. It consists of looser fitting dark brown pants, a traditional red coat and a wide brimmed hat for shielding the sun. Most of the Marines are armed with a standard issue musket, although some prefer to carry a blunderbuss when trekking through the deep jungle. Officers sport green epaulets and carry a pistol and their choice of a cutlass or machete. They are trained at skirmishing and usually employ hit and run tactics as apposed to open field combat which is better suited to island encounters with a hostile foe. We Corries are simply overjoyed that Our majesty the Queen has lived another year! -
That's why I used a can of compressed air! Beautiful looking ship! Such great and fun details throughout. The custom base is certainly a show stealer yet it complements the ship very nicely.
