[MOC] – Freebuild – BlueWater Castle
Ecclesiastes replied to cesbrick's topic in Guilds of Historica
Fantastic! Your becoming quite the "expert" in building such wonderful creations! I especially like the use of the dark blue which gives it a fairy tale like feeling. And I think your photo's are pretty good considering the size of the build! -
And the large fantasy dioramas just keep on coming in the Guilds Historica, like this wonderful castle made by Cesbrick! Be sure to check out more details in the Guilds!

Thanks for the kind words guys! I recall that's been said as well, but a sixth of the whole build belonged to Tijger-San. So not completely a one man Lug My friends, are already making jokes about it as well: Big, Bigger, Marco! All together about 3-4 months. I was lucky enough to buy gimlis when they were just around 3,-. But it seems every single lotr/hobbit fig is rising in price rapidly these days! Thanks, please enlighten my what you think could be improved!

The story behind the city is told in the previous topics of the separate modules: Tartan's Hall Gold, gold, precious gold... At Amortug's gates and Entrance to Wealth Zophim's Tower and The Boulder Citadel Tower and Lake Gate House Market Day The Court Hall Ulvar The whole lay-out was build on 4 by 6 48x48 baseplates. The landscaping at the rim(1 by 4 48x48) was build by Tijger-San for our collaborate layout at Legoworld Copenhagen: I added some new things like a Forrest Elven ship: Some close-ups: Overview from above:

Vintage Legoland 6059 Knight's Stronghold Review
Ecclesiastes replied to VintageLegoEra's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'm a big fan of the old classics, and I've collected a whole bunch of them. So seeing them always brings back childhood memories. But back to this topic... This isn't really a review.(Like your previous ones) It's more a shout out that you think it's awesome followed by almost no info and than a bunch of photo's. I think you should put a bit more effort in it by writing why you think it's awesome and add notes to your photos. And also improve your photo's by adding backgrounds, especially if you want to call in a review. And also exclamation marks aren't really necessary in these titles. -
I'd like to go but December isn't working it for me because of work, it's the busiest time of the year unfortunately.

It's been cruising the EB galaxy for two weeks already, but in case you've mist it, here's the Crimson Pilgrim. This beauty, made by our Sci-fi moderator Bob De Quatre, is eye candy for sure. And even with all those angles he managed to build in a full interior and other cool stuff! Go check this out in Star Wars Forum!

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Ecclesiastes replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Sounds fair enough indeed. Before claiming a spot on the map, it's good to see some establishments of your town/city! -
Infernum has made some fantastic creatures, but this dragon is one of his best so far. Especially the use of the sails and eagle wings makes this MOC stand out! Check it all out in the Guilds!

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Ecclesiastes replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ah yes, that's my fault. I haven't shown the spot for it yet. -
The last module: Driven by the desire for gold and jewelry the dwarves are in need of a place to secure all those precious metals. And what is a better place than the citadel itself to secure this treasure. Barracks: Food supplies for the next dinner Acirhon Lookout and Beacon Overviews

One of the two larger modules: Amortug is being ruled by The Tartan family for two centuries now. Two hundred years ago the great Or Tartan, who was a general than, overthrew the old steward who was gathering treasure just for himself. He also invaded clan lands several times and was provoking the Elves constantly by mining underneath there outposts. This made Or decide it was enough. He cut of the stewards hands and feet. Than he hung him in the middle of the gate while wearing lots of jewelry. The steward died from hunger while hanging there, like lots of Amortug's citizens did because of him. He died while staring to himself in the reflections of the diamonds and when his last breath came out he said he'll be claiming his treasure some day. Because of what he said Or also slaughtered his whole family by burning the old citadel to prevent them from taking Amortug back again some day... Since than Amortug is know for being one of the best fortified cities with it's high walls, fortified gates and large citadel. Or was able to make a treaty with the Elves to restore some balance, while this guys will never get a long. And he made peace with the clan lands. Most of his daughters even married clan leader's sons. So that explains why most of Amortug's inhabitants aren't recognized as being dwarves. But the dwarf blood and spirit is still running through the vanes of Amortug's inhabitants! Let us celebrate two hundred years of Tartar rule! Of course the highest room of Amortug needs a princess in it!
