Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BitByBrick replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
She loves Disney, but absolutely hates the mini doll figures and sets. Why you ask? Because she is no longer 5 years old. -
How certain are we that it is Rivendell? No matter what the setting, the price point is going to be too steep for me. I may have to just pick up the figures on the secondary market or skip it all together. I want to support this awesome theme, but too many expensive sets are out there already. Wishing I would have picked up more of the original LOTR sets before they became impossibly expensive. Glad I kept Helm’s Deep with its add-on expansion set. Still looks great on display! Would favor smaller play sets at some future date. Not all fans can afford these behemoth sets, please pass this along to anyone at the LEGO group. Thanks!

Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BitByBrick replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
If true, Robin Hood and Prince John will be my top 2 must have figs! I agree that little John or Sir Hiss would be fun additional characters, but I will not complain one bit. What great classic (throw back) figs these will be ( fingers crossed!) My daughter was hoping for Rapunzel and Flinn Ryder minifigures. Any chance a regular figure Tangled set (not princess mini dolls) would ever happen? -

Or should we be more concerned about getting a brick-built Jabba instead of a new mold. That would be truly frightening. 🫣 -

Those would be fun if included. For any Last Crusade set, a Cross of Coronado tile… and tanks. -

The visors do not appear when searching with the out-of-stock option. Would this indicate that they were pulled rather than sold out? Saw them for a day or two, couldn’t get myself to buy any as there wasn’t anything else new to justify a purchase. -

Can’t wait! Looking forward to building them all. No crystal skull sets, even better! Definitely going to be my big purchase of 2023. One massive LOtR set, or an entire wave of IJ? My heart and my pocket book both lean heavily towards IJ! -

Forestmen shields are back in stock. Unfortunately no forestman torsos and no green hunter’s hats yet. And Rakuten has 11% back! -

Anyone know if the AT-TE Walker will be released in stores like Walmart / Target, or is it an exclusive to LEGO stores and LEGO online shop? It just got released from LEGO here in the US, wondering how long it might take to see it in other stores. Thank you. -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
BitByBrick replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I was surprised to come across the space 90th set at Walmart the other day. There is still some hope that the 90th castle will show up elsewhere as well. 🤞🏻I would prefer Target, either online or at the store. Am I being too optimistic? Looking for any way to get a discount on it.- 2,976 replies

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BitByBrick replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Totally agree. I stumbled upon B&P late in the game and fell down that rabbit hole rather quickly. Finding fun animals and printed pieces and the occasional rare minifigure part or accessory. It was fun while it lasted, but my wallet is much healthier without the distraction of what new parts have come out. Also the high prices on bricklink help me to stay away from impulse buying. If LEGO ever fixes this new system (which in its current form really stinks) and finally adds new parts, I may dabble in getting a new animal or two, or exclusive minifigure parts. But I know it will not be to the unhealthy level that it was before the change. -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
BitByBrick replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Drove over an hour to the nearest LEGO store. I called before I left and they were down to 5, but they would not let me put one on hold. Thankfully they had 2 left when I arrived. Unfortunately no gwp forest set. Whatever stock they had was gone early on August 1st. Looking forward to spending some quality time building it with my son.- 2,976 replies

Great point! Might I add that having this set in general release (Target, Walmart, etc) would have also attracted many casual LEGO fans. Small enough to not be overly expensive (mass appeal). Retro enough to inject some needed nostalgia that might push some people out of their dark ages… you know “buying it for my kid” 😉

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
BitByBrick replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
If the forest hideout doesn’t resurface when the castle is released, I will definitely be holding off on purchasing it. Must have something to show for spending $400. I was counting on the gwp to offset the high price. Guess I’ll be saving some money this month. If there is another great gwp or triple vip points (joke) or sale or something else that comes up before Christmas, I may eventually get the castle. By then, however, LEGO may increase the price to $500 (joke?)- 2,976 replies

Minifigure Factory (beta) just started here in US, but I have not seen the online BAM yet. Is this still going to be a thing? Possibly the online build a minifig would help me to have a more affordable option to populate my castle sets, not that 10305 lacks Minifigures but it is a $400+ battle pack 😂- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
BitByBrick replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
For me this set may come down to “what am I willing to part with?” To free up display space and help pay the $400+ price tag, I can sell my classic castle 6086 (something I don’t want to do) Or I keep saving my money and hope this set is still available in 6 months or a year from now. Anyone have a good guess as to the shelf life of this set? If it sells out in a week (or less) will it ever be re-stocked? Will I be able to buy this around Christmas time? Maybe see this set at Target or online? Hoping it sticks around awhile… speaking as an AFOL that is strapped for cash at the moment.- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
BitByBrick replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I agree. Not sure about this decision by LEGO. As a result, poor Wiz may stay in the box. Recently picked up the BAM Wizard, curiously he has full printing and is also blue. Wonder if this set will eventually suffer from the dreaded price increases that are happening to other sets? Say before Christmas maybe? Hope not but makes you wonder. 🤔- 2,976 replies

With all these reviews popping up… can anyone confirm the dimensions of the castle when it is open? I know the box has dimensions listed for when it’s closed. Looking to plan a space and I want to see if it can fit. Thanks.- 2,976 replies

For what it’s worth, my ranking is reflective of my love of all things classic castle. The recent castle theme revival of BrickLink and LEGO sets has me entering a new “dark-age” (or should I say “medieval-age”) for LEGO. I’ve included my favorite set for each faction as well. 1- Lion Knights / 6080 King’s Castle 2- Forestmen / 6066 Camouflaged Outpost 3- Black Falcons / 6074 Black Falcon’s Fortress 4- Black Knights / 6086 Black Knight’s Castle 5- Wolfpack / 6038 Wolfpack Renegades

Very nice! The series 13 king looks too much like the Burger King guy than actual royalty. Maybe the King for this castle was thrown in the dungeon by the queen and is now the skeleton we see there. Just add a crown on him to complete the story. Long live the queen. LOL- 2,976 replies

It looks like the back of the box has dimensions of the castle (when closed) can’t read the centimeter numbers due to them being fuzzy… does it say 17.5in base and 14.5in height? What might that expand to once the set is opened up? Asking for a friend who needs a place to display this. :)- 2,976 replies

Found the 22nd Minifigure… the skeleton in the dungeon cell. Most likely the shields are all stickers, or can we hope one or more of the new designs are printed?- 2,976 replies

Must have this! Looks like I’m going to be selling a good amount of my collection to be able to afford this. From the images, it might be worth it. How fast will this sell out when first listed? Will VIPs have first access to it? Love the accessories and the figures. The wizard however looks rather plain. Great set. Hope it ushers in more castle sets in the future!- 2,976 replies
