Glad to see this idea was successful. Although my wife and daughters were rooting for Luke’s Cafe awhile back and sad that it was passed up. Interested to see what the designers do with this set. Just so they don’t Flintstone it up, if you know what I mean. “Pivot!”

May I ask, what source says the fig will have no arm printing / duel molded legs? Until I see a photo I’m holding out hope. Agreed. Hopefully we get additional confirmation soon. Don’t want to get my hopes up quite yet. Shazam! will fit nicely in his dedicated missing spot in my DC collection! ?

Agreed. Even so, the Rubble-stubble (and medium legs) would set him apart from the kids.

How Barney didn’t end up with short or medium legs is beyond explanation. Did the LEGO designers watch even one episode? Also disappointed with no Dino (no dinosaurs at all when the show was full of them, very sad) Maybe Rex from Toy Story can fill in? Not the best I know... maybe one of the early LEGO pterodactyls? Trying to convince myself to buy this set at full price. Any thoughts on how to modify and improve the look / feel of this set would be appreciated. Thanks.

Took my kids to the LEGO Movie 2 yesterday and there was a trailer for Shazam. They are all VERY excited to see it! LEGO would be foolish if they didn’t make any sets to tie in with the Shazam movie (as they would make some serious $$). I personally wouldn’t mind seeing a Shazam minifigure. Not everyone can afford the exclusive ComiCon figs. Crossing my fingers LEGO is smart about it. Maybe they are just getting better at hiding upcoming sets? Here’s hoping.

News / leaks on these DC threads have been slow as of late. Still waiting for any information on possible Shazam set(s) and/or minifigure(s). I was encouraged to see him featured prominently on the DC villains promo. Hoping for something to go along with the movie next year. Like Ocean Master being included in the next “wave”.

Odds are any new version of Shazam will be even better than the one from com-con, especially if it includes more details like arm printing, duel molded legs, or dare I ask a custom cape with gold trim. All that being said, I would even take the previously released version of Shazam... ending the artificial scarcity of at least one fig and the related frustration of not being able to acquire it (without unnecessary financial hardship). Please LEGO give us an easy to obtain Shazam minifig, in a set I could purchase from Target or LEGO-Shop-at-Home. Restore my faith in you LEGO.

The Voltron set was announced last year (early August) and really no news since then. Possible cost guess, but still no release date. The extra time has helped me in saving up, as it will be an expensive set, but wondering when or if it will ever become available. What’s going on LEGO? Any update would be appreciated.

Been waiting patiently for a non-exclusive minifigure Shazam! Anything extra would be gravy. If /when LEGO decides to make them... how soon would we see a set (or sets) for this movie come out?

It is rather strange the lack of information about the release date for the Voltron set. No news that I can find. The ship in the bottle set has been out for some time now, so why the delay? One of those “things that make you go hmmm.”

Well said! I was egg-static when this figure was rumored to happen. This will still be an awesome addition to the classic TV villains. But a more true-to-character V. Price facial expression would have made this great figure even better.

Continuing with animation from the '80s, how about Robotech (Macross) or Transformers? Voltron in Lego form is AMAZING! This is a first day purchase 4 me, as it may sell out quickly. Hoping it remains the '80s version. If the final model looks as good as the pictured project, I'll have to start saving up my money. Wonder how much $$$ it will be?
