Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BitByBrick replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Only place I’ve found the Marvel CMF series in the wild has been Barnes and Noble. They hide them behind the counter and don’t let you feel them. Literally no other places have them in-store. Not at Target, not at Walmart, etc. Just curious if other Midwest folks have seen any and where. Thanks. -

The tan globes 6354186 have disappeared. Guess I should have ordered them when I had the chance. Bummer. -

That is an absolutely awesome idea for a set! Already thinking on how to make a MOC of it. But an actual LEGO set with a new animal mold (or two) would be even better! Please forward this idea to LEGO now so they can get on it... -
Sold out in less than an hour. Missed this one. Very upset that this VIP reward system doesn’t make me feel like a VIP. Didn’t drop at the usual time, must have had very little stock. LEGO needs to fix this awful mess they created. Poor communication and poor planning on their part. Something needs to change. It’s starting to turn me off.

No more torsos 😤 missed out by a matter of minutes - twice this week! if they were even available in the US that is. Everything else for the knights are on order for me except the torsos. Very frustrating. I don’t want to stoop and overpay on BrickLink. But my patients (and luck) seems to be running out. Any way to get re-stock updates? This forum is my only resource, but only if I check...less than 20 minutes late and the torsos are gone. -

It does look better! If this is from the 4+ set, should we expect joker to be of the ‘66 variety also? Re-do or new print? Joker on a surfboard with swimming trunks would be fun. -
Why is it that the only figure I even remotely find interesting is the Ice Cream Guy? But then I see the cost... “uff da!” How fast will it be until these see massive markdowns? Maybe the fact that these seem/are overpriced is limiting my enthusiasm for these figures.

Unfortunately I was told the same thing this week when I called: back orders are not allowed. Must be the new normal? Hoping to catch some of the new pieces when they eventually get back in stock. At least they were able to give me a re-stock date on some items. I will be upset if I have to buy them from BrickLink scalpers. -

Got off the phone with Lego CS. The knight torso, legs and shield are projected to be back in stock in March. Unfortunately they would not let me back-order these. How quickly they got gobbled up during the night. -

Really hope there is, as I will be more inclined to make the purchase. Due to space issues, the LE Batmobile looks great displayed with the Burton figures! I could see adding the Lawrence fig by increasing the length of the “roof” stand. The wall mount would have to be pretty secure for me to feel comfortable, but it would look awesome! -
What is that arm printing about on Bert and Elmo? Is that real or a custom?

If Lego is going to invest in new molds for (almost all) these LT CMF characters, wouldn’t they already have a plan to incorporate them in future sets somehow? Simpson’s has some large stand alone sets plus 2 CMF series. Does having sets in addition to the CMF series seem logical for Loony Tunes?
-
Duck Dodgers and Marvin the Martian... Just take my money! Eager young space-cadette Porky could complete the Planet X trio. Could they re-use the Nesquik head mold for Bugs Bunny? What other molds (if any) could be re-purposed for this series? How about Michigan J Frog and the guy who finds him? Goofy Gophers? Ralph Phillips (the daydreaming boy)? Hugo (The abominable snowman) and my favorite: Gossamer (the red monster) !!

Trying not to get my hopes up if this rumor turns out to be false... but who would you include in a 16 figure Looney Tunes CMF series? Bugs, Daffy, Elmer, Sylvester, Tweety, Porky, Taz, Marvin the Martian... that’s half. Who else would you add? Yosemite Sam?

Are "Big Bang Themes" a Bad Strategy?
BitByBrick replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Also, no need for tons of new ideas... Imagine (if you will) LEGO redesigns of their classic spaceships. An updated Galaxy Commander, Starfleet Voyager, or better yet an updated version the Blacktron Renegade. With the plethora of new pieces since the originals were made, as well as more interesting building techniques, just how amazing would those classic spaceships be? My son is a HUGE Star Wars fan, but he also loves playing with the classic Blacktron sets. This shouldn’t be a choice of either / or. Why can’t LEGO do both? If they could only think outside the SW/Disney box! -

Hard to imagine Ninjago (9 years running) going away anytime soon. It got quickly established and the marketing (tv series, etc) has been non-stop. Never cared for the theme, but kids seem to love it. Monkey Kid is way too similar, a Ninjago clone. Speaking of clones... TLG sure loves their licensed themes. As a result, I doubt if we ever get a true (non-city) space theme again. Hard to compete with SW and both super-hero lines. This is unfortunate. The ideas Exo Suit set 6 years ago could have paved the way for a re-birth of the Classic space theme. It was there for the taking. Sadly the only follow up will be an orange classic spaceman in an upcoming book. (you could also probably count Benny’s Space Squad set from TLM2) Maybe LEGO could do Classic Space as a “Big Bang” theme? Run it for only 3 years. I would even settle for 2 years, if it was done well. Thoughts? -
LEGO Ideas Discussion

About when will we see these 3 (newly announced) sets? Home Alone maybe October/November 2021? Just a guess. How long did it take from announcing the Friends idea set as a winner and its official release? Maybe Sienfeld would be about the same time frame? Forgive me if this has been already discussed, I tried to research it but couldn’t find anything. Thank you. -

How about some ‘66 classic villains? Bookworm, Mad Hatter, False Face, Shame, Sandman, Archer, and Louis the Lilac. Just wondering, does anyone have any suggestions for versions of any of these villains that can be made with existing LEGO minifig parts? I am very interested in hearing your opinion. Let the challenge commence! -

Still impatiently waiting on my local Target or Walmart to get the DC CMFs in stock. Both have plenty of old series (Dinsney 2, Lego Movie 2, and series 19) Love the first appearance DC figs. Can’t wait to find them. Got the official “feel guide” ready. -

Took me an hour to get my order in last night. The LEGO site was pitiful (to be kind). Think they would TRY building a better site to handle the Black Friday traffic. Oh well, just happy I was able to FINALLY order the Batmobile with the two freebies. Now how long will it take to ship? Happy Leftovers Day / Nap Day. -
Robotech / Macross would be AWESOME. Transformer-type Veritech planes, plus LEGO has a thing for mechs! Destroid Tomahawk anyone? Oh the possibilities. Zentraedi Battle pod, Rand’s VR Cyclone... Wishful thinking.

The VV figure is a great addition. Hope she has an alternate expression, the one shown is not the best IMO. Release date for the D2C is coming up? November? December?
