Best and worst revivals of licensed themes
BitByBrick replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
The original IJ theme brought me out of my dark age. I also enjoyed the revival sets, they were well done. Disappointed they scrapped the Temple of Doom set. Any 18+ set with Indy would also be welcome! It got me thinking… what ideas we could pitch to those influential LEGO designers who may be keeping a pulse on these discussion boards… 1] Collage of iconic Indy artifacts: A life size hat, whip, grail diary, cross of Coronado, Pan Am plane ticket to Nepal, etc. From Last Crusade 2] the scene in the castle where Indy and his dad are tied up (with the spinning fireplace) 3] along the lines of the Raiders idol temple set: the Grail Temple of the Sun with its “traps of lethal cunning” and grail room From Raiders 4] the scene where the Ark is opened ( this is also my current MOC “under construction” ) 5] the submarine pen, where Indy gets his disguise 6] A map of Indy’s travels around the world (Pan Am Clipper could be included ) Any of these sound like a day one purchase? Looking for other 18+ set ideas as well, please chime in. Thanks -
2026/27 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
BitByBrick replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Any chance we could get these new shields in a future set? Also, are there only two shields in this GWP? Looks like two can fit on each side of the boat. Asking for a friend 😉 -
Set and GWP arrived today. 🤓 Oh Happy Day!!!

After waiting 20 minutes in the queue, I got in and then the set page completely disappeared (it was gone for a couple of minutes) Thankfully I was able to place my order, eventually. Gotta love those Lego glitches, and that darn waiting room too.

[MOC] Star Trek: The Next Generation Enterprise-D Bridge

I’m looking to find the parts list to build your bridge moc. Not too tech savvy. Can you share something that I can add to a brick link wanted list? If not, I understand. I’ll try looking at the photos. Thanks again. -

Very creative. Love the view screen builds. I noticed in your earlier pics a possible nod to Tasha Yar? Is the head/face used custom printed or can it be found on brick link? Please and thank you. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
BitByBrick replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
No update yet on the x-files ideas set? Does this mean it will be released second half of this year, likely fall or winter? Couldn’t find the forum for this topic, even after searching. Thought this was the closest one. Thanks -
I agree. However LEGO needs to make enough copies of it so it lasts several days, even better, several weeks after the release. None of this “GWP sold out in a couple minutes garbage” that has been going on lately. If they want us to pay full price for these whopper priced sets, at least have the decency to include a good quality GWP and have it available for an extended time. I’m also good, in addition to the above, if they want to release the GWP more than once. I believe that has happened before with some GWP.
-
Looks great! Will need to find a large enough place to display this massive beauty. If they include a good / great GWP, I hope they make enough of them to last more than a couple minutes during the official drop. The LEGO site doesn’t like any of my devices and kicks me into a waiting room even after I’m logged in. I’ve missed more than one decent GWP and sale that way. Hopefully the price will limit the competition, but who knows?

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BitByBrick replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
They were only up for maybe two hours. I skipped ordering for now and decided to wait until both torsos and legs are available at the same time. Probably will be a couple months until that happens, I would guess. Any idea when the next wave of new parts might happen (and what pieces from sets that could be included) on PAB? -
2026/27 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
BitByBrick replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I appreciate Lego including castle parts in BAM. However, I am not a fan of the color selection for the jester. Seems a bit modern? -
Agreed. One could argue that AFOL and younger LotR fans would buy up so many of these battle packs that Lego would easily make a hefty profit. Both kids and adults, that are unable or unwilling to purchase the expensive sets, could now afford to buy multiple battle packs for play or MOCs… in addition to those who did buy the expensive sets and now want several battle packs for army building. I would go further and predict these smaller sets would be very hard to find at stores or online because of the high demand for them. It would, however, take a motivated executive or ultra passionate Lego employee to get the ball rolling? Wishing is not a strategy, but a coordinated campaign of fans might… But, alas, these smaller sets will not come to pass.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BitByBrick replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I’m hopeful for a quick turnaround on my standard parts order. The best-seller 1/2 of an order arrived yesterday. Either quality control is lacking, or I have the poorest luck with these orders. More often than not, there are either missing pieces, or damaged parts (sometimes both). I have not yet received more pieces or extra parts as some here have posted about. My mistake is I usually end up calling and asking Lego to fix their mistakes each time. Last time I called about a problem with an order, the customer service representative mentioned that I call them often. This comment troubled me as I tried to politely explain that I can’t control what arrives (if parts are missing or damaged) I even offer to send pictures of the damaged items to show them. For fear that they don’t believe me when parts are missing, and fear that I might be “blacklisted”, I am choosing not to call about the missing torso from my latest order. This bugs me, because I at least want Lego to fulfill their promise to send me what I ordered and paid for. Here’s hoping that my standard orders (from Dec 1 & Dec 13) arrive quickly and correctly. 🤞 -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BitByBrick replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I had it in my cart and ready to check out and then kicked me off the site and got placed into a waiting room. Five minutes later got back in and it was out of stock. Frustrated that a 10 day sale only lasted a couple minutes. Lego rarely gives discounts on exclusives. I waited for this one. Guess I can look at the bright side, I didn’t spend any money. The bummer is I didn’t get the discount, the points or the 3 GWPs. The parts on B&P that went on sale, I was unfortunately too late to the game. Would have liked some of those cows, torsos and other fun pieces. Again, saved me from spending money, I guess. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
BitByBrick replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Got it. Now is the time of year to watch for sales on the retiring sets. This (40% off) was definitely a good sale. Thanks for the heads up! -
What Lego should do is scrap any build and just give us a $400 Gondor battle pack and call it a day. That would be a massive army building set of minifigures. We can all build our own MOC scene(s). Everyone wins. Any takers?
-
I share in your hope (call it a guarded optimism) that this is not yet a full list. It would be the mother of all missed opportunities if the Witch King and Eowyn somehow didn’t show up in this set.
-
As much as I love the idea of a Minas Tirith set, especially for the minifigures, how could it be done well? I’ve seen several fan created versions that are decent, but when Lego gets ahold of something they don’t quite have the design concept. The one caveat is that Rivendell was probable the best executed set, by far, in any theme. Just hoping for another WOW and not a much anticipated disappointment. With the scale so large, is it going to be an architecture style set? Or will they focus in on just the top (tree, etc.)?

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BitByBrick replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Is there any hope we can get decent minifigures in this next wave? Personally Robin has been underrepresented for the past decade+. I would love to see a ‘66 batgirl or an updated ‘66 Robin. What other figs might bring some buzz and excitement to this giant Batman logo/ batmobile (x3) wave? Trying to be optimistic 🤞 -

Love the build and how it looks, so far… Have to wait for replacement stickers however. My sticker sheet had two folds and a crinkle messing up over half the stickers. Had to wait over 45 minutes to talk to someone in support, but they were super nice and understanding. Might be a couple weeks to arrive? Anyway, I’m looking to add buzzsaw to the display by color swapping. Any chance I might be able to pick up the printed parts: head, logo tiles and tape reels eventually on BrickLink? Or should I look on eBay? Maybe someone might sell just Laserbeak. Here’s hoping 🤞🏻 -

Anyone pick SoundWave up at a store yet? I ordered mine at Midnight (11pm CST)…. now the wait for the big brown box to land on my porch. 📦 -
Right?! What a wasted opportunity. Why make a movie about gollum, when almost ANY other character would be far better. I would personally have preferred a movie centered around Aragorn (Rangers of the North and all that)! But take your pick… Boromir, Faramir, even Arwen. The movie plot would be instantly better, along with the real possibility of sets & battle packs!
