  1. Please resize your images. Our site guidelines are 800x600 max.
  2. Hi 12vretrofan. Sorry if I came off a little harsh in regard to your post about Enlighten train quality. We get a lot of kiddies and spammers that flood our forums with junk. I appreciate you taking the time to introduce yourself here. A big welcome to you. It sounds like you've been collecting a long time. I can't say that I own anything before the 9V era, but I certainly remember the old catalogues with pictures of 12/4.5V trains. I just wish I started a bit earlier with some of the earlier 9V sets. 4552 looks like a superb crane. I've always loved the green construction box (for lack of a better name). In any case, welcome and I hope you enjoy our Train forum.
  3. We have one dedicated topic to discuss Non-LEGO Train brands. This is it. Please do not start any more topics related to Enlighten or other non-LEGO train brands if no one responds to your initial question. As you are new to our forum, I would also recommend you introduce yourself so that others can get to know you. I don't mean to come off harsh, but I try to keep the kiddies, non-LEGO, and silly topics from dominated the forum in an organized manner. You're welcome to discuss your question here.
  4. Could you please explain this post Lucius?
  5. Hi Steffen, welcome. It's always nice to see how some builders create trains from their local regions. Your Karlsruhe Stadtbahn is certainly a beauty. Great color scheme and I like the design. Really interesting front-end design - looks like that was a bit tricky. Hope you enjoy Train Tech/EB and I look forward to seeing more of your fine creations.
  6. Another train discontinuation question... I've merged with the Discontinuation Speculation topic. EDIT: general rule; if you find it on LEGO SAH's sale page, it's on its way out. Also Peurifoy, as this is your first post on Ebay and Train Tech, I would recommend you introduce yourself in the Train Tech registry (for train fans) or in the community forum and get acquainted with our forum. Many topics can be found by doing a search or two.
  7. Not to be rude, but you need to go out and buy a LEGO Train set. No competition (unless LEGO quality continues to diminish).
  8. We could almost have a single topic for every train that was ever released by LEGO. I'm going to merge this recent question (future of Hogwarts Express) with that of the Maersk. We'll use this topic to discuss the future of any set that is still available (and those in the future).
  9. Hello PBT. Let's just keep the spammy topics to a minimum, as well as the clone-brand posting. This is a forum for LEGO Train fans (generally those who own a train) and I'd like to maintain the quality of our Train Tech forum to encourage AFOL participation. Thanks much, -TB.
  10. After seeing these additional pictures, I don't think we need a second topic on clone/copy brands. I'm merging this with the Enlighten topic and will do the same for any additional topics. This is a LEGO Train forum, I'd like to keep it that way.
  11. I'm not sure I understand the intent of this post. Is it for all of us to be reminded that these cheap LEGO copies are crap. If so, it is.
  12. Welcome Tom. EB Train Tech is a great place to share your LEGO Train interest. I remember when purchasing my first train set, I was in search for more track, accessories, and trains; but at that time, there wasn't much available. Now is a perfect time to be in the hobby because LEGO has a great selection to choose from. Your recent purchases are some of the finest trains made by LEGO (IMO). Your pool table idea sounds like a great space for a layout. Mine has always been limited to a small table in my computer room. In any case, glad you joined us and I hope you enjoy the forum.
  13. Welcome to EB Kimi. As a brand new member, I certainly hope you enjoy EB and our Train Tech LEGO Train community.
  14. It's nice to see images of this classic set. I've added a poll so that our members can rate this set. In addition, as an FYI, the Train Tech logo you placed at the beginning is used by me to show that the review/topic has been indexed. I'll leave it for now but have to index later.
  15. Tarby - I've changed the title of this post to make it a little more useful for our members. Good luck with your modifications.
  16. Welcome Mapman. I hope you enjoy the Train Tech forum and good luck with that train table/layout. I'm sure you'll have some great time building with your little guy.
  17. Welcome to Train Tech Jahab. I suggest you introduce yourself as this is your first post on EB. You can tell us a little bit about yourself in the Train Tech Registry or in EB's community forum. I've changed the title of this post to make it a little more meaningful. Good luck with your lighting issue.
  18. Big welcome to Loggii and Captain J. Hope you both have a good time here in Train Tech and enjoy the other EB forums.
  19. Welcome Hechristensen. First post - neat! A train mountain sounds like a great idea. Hope you enjoy EB and our Train Tech forum.
  20. Welcome Kyzr44. Go easy. There will always be future sets available.
  21. You might consider downloading a copy of Track Designer. I find it a very useful program for creating layouts.
  22. Certainly appears to be an issue with the size of your motor. We welcome new members TomixNscale89, but the intent of this forum is not really to resolve technical problems you're having with your LEGO Train. I suggest you introduce yourself in the Registry and/or the Community Forum as this is your first post on EB and become acquainted with some of the other members.
  23. Welcome Brinstar. The Metroliner would inspire me to get into LEGO Trains if I saw it running - great train! I remember my first train well, and in no time, you'll build a great collection I'm sure. There's much to choose from right now which can help build your collection. Hope you enjoy the forum and maybe even share a custom train down the road. Welcome!
  24. I knew that looked sort of strange after typing.
  25. You'll love the Emerald Eliminator. It's a fantastic engine, and I'm sure the Maersk will be available for a while longer. Welcome to Train Tech.
