  1. Hi all - it's Sunday morning Pacific time here in the US. Thought I would open this topic for those of you wanting to discuss any train topics or even stop in to say hello. I've never done this before but thought I would today over a cup of coffee. Feel free to post openly. EDIT: no need to form a line... EDIT: not all ideas can be good ones... EDIT: Just in case you were wondering, I'm still here. EDIT: Caller, are you there? EDIT: Is anybody out there? EDIT: Looks like some have woke up. maybe... EDIT: (wonders if he has enough chairs)
  2. Lots of Emerald Nights - you guys should be more original.
  3. Interesting choice Andy. By description, I was visualizing a more classic steam train but 7440 is electric (you can say like your personality, in a good way - being the first to post as well). I'm going to go with 3225 Classic Train. I've been told that I've got an old soul - a bit of a "classic myself". 3225 is sort of a Western mining train yet it has a German DB locomotive. I love mines and the Wild West but still like to think that I've got a strong European influence (giving me a little sophistication) and mix. 3225 is not a complete train, missing the tracks (so I'll say that I'm always wanting to improve my current state but at the same time blessed with what I have (it's still a great little train)). It's not a huge train or will win any awards for best design, but it's steady, sturdy, and a bit humble for it's classic train styling. There was a also a great review of 3225 referenced in my own review involving a western-related story (I love those old western stories). Click to read it here: 3225 Review So, I'm 3225 for today.
  4. This is just a fun little topic inspired from Hinckley's What LEGO mold are you? topic in the LEGO General Discussion and News forum. What LEGO Train do you associate mostly with your own personality? (Note: LEGO train set, train car, or engine/locomotive accepted - make sure you share why) I'm thinking...
  5. Hi John. Welcome to our LEGO Train community. Interesting transition from SW to Trains. Few probably know it, but I like the classic SW sets. I also enjoyed HO-scale trains as a kid (never had any of the Lionel stuff though (O-scale)). I look forward to seeing your Christmas train/layout. Enjoy the forum.
  6. Hi Tim. Welcome to our LEGO Train community. Please feel free to share an image review or MOC within our forum any time. Hope you enjoy Train Tech.
  7. I'm loving it. Love the architecture reminding me of the Fire Brigade. Yep - at least there's no window washer (appeared months later in the Grand Emporium after our Classic Town contest) (but that's a different topic)
  8. Kevblee: I've been waiting for you to post a few more images before front-paging this impressive ship. Front-paged!
  9. Ghostly images of LEGO Pirate fan Kevblee's phantom ship are starting to emerge through the fog. Is that a LEGO Black Pearl I spy? Only in EB's LEGO Pirate Forum!
  10. Hi Ralph. Welcome to Train Tech. I'm with you in regard to not having any trains as a kid. I made up for this when the My Own Train collection became available. I'd love to have some of the 12V sets though. I love the vintage rolling stock. Good luck with your layout and I hope you're able to find some of those 12V sets at a reasonable price. Enjoy our LEGO Train community.
  11. Hi Younge. Welcome. I'm glad that you introduced yourseld here. I look forward to seeing your mountain once complete. Please continue to enjoy the forum.
  12. You start by keeping posts on-topic and not double posting.
  13. Paul B: Welcome to Train Tech. Without a nice town or city, a LEGO Train layout isn't much fun. Good luck with your plan to create one. Homer: Hello and welcome. Please familiarize yourself with our site guidelines. In regard to image posting, 800x600 is the maximum picture size for posting. Usually 640x480 works just fine. I've removed your oversized images, but please feel free to add them back once resized. Sounds like you've got a nice little LEGO Train collection and I look forward to seeing some of your custom trains.
  14. I'm not a huge LEGO sci-fi fan and/or visit this forum very often, but every now and then something catches my eye. I think this is a pretty slick creation and deserves some front-page attention. Great job!
  15. LEGO Sci-Fi fan Konajra will have your ships tuned-up, fueled-up, and ready for galaxy space travel with just a short stop in EB's LEGO Sci-fi forum. Make sure you check out his latest creation, Star Tuning.
  16. As an old-time ScoobyDoo fan BB, I just had to comment. I like your MM! The brick-built MM design must have taken a lot of work. Great colors staying true to the real deal. Your monster antics are enjoyable to see. I think the Medieval Market is a nice place for a monster mystery as well. It's great to see some Scooby fans out there. Keep doing good things. -TB PS. We'll soon have some new monsters and sets with the Monster Fighters theme. EDIT: a Scooby snack is well deserved.
  17. Fantastic! I love the photo-editing as well.
  18. Please see our many tutorials.
  19. Happy New Year from Train Tech! Thanks again to all our LEGO Train fans (loud train whistle can be heard in the distance).
