Merry Christmas - ho, ho, ho... It's December 21, just a few days before Christmas. 'Tis the time for Christmas Trains... but, where are they? Tony shared a few festive holiday creations but every year, we have holiday trains decorating the Train Tech forum. This year, the trains seem to be stuck at the North Pole. The Santa of Train Tech is starting to worry. Will we be able to transport the presents through the snow-covered tracks of your table towns and floor villes in time for Christmas? To provide a little incentive this year, how about a Train Tech tag to hang under your avatar for building a holidy train; not the stuff you built last year, but new trains to add some Christmas spirit to Train Tech. Confused? let's provide some additional information to Santa's Train Tech conductors: 1) Build a NEW custom LEGO Christmas Train (two cars or more, minifig-scale, no digital designs). 2) Create a new topic with the name of your Christmas creation with an image (no greater than 800x600). 3) For helping decorate the Train Tech forum, you will receive a special Train Tech tag that will appear under your avatar. Note: quantities are limited and will only be provided to those whose trains are worthy of Santa's special Train Tech tag (meaning - quick kiddie builds won't make Santa's list). Santa reserves the right to provide lumps of coal to these train builders. 4) Building ends Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas!

Hi Andrew. Welcome to Train Tech. I'm glad you found our LEGO Train community. You were certainly lucky to find some of those great 9V sets. One day I'm going to break out my Metroliner but with all the new stuff, it's one more train for me to place on a shelf. I disassembled by table town so I've got no track at present - just a few shelves. I hope you enjoy our forum and please feel free to start a topic at any time. Welcome and Merry Christmas!

EB Train Tech Makes the One-Million Mark!
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Moving and motorized parts make the magic - few themes have this. -
Hi Ed. Welcome to Train Tech. It's always nice to have members like you join us (those who have participated in a LEGO Brick Expo). Please feel free to share your LEGO Train MOCs in the forum. Hope you enjoy our LEGO Train community.

Nice job Udo. I've renamed this topic to make it a little more meaningful to our Train Tech members. Also, please be aware that our image guidelines are 800x600 max. I replaced the LGB train image with a link.

You can create a new topic with a title like, "Need Help Designing..." with whatever you are looking to do. I'm sure that one or more of our LEGO DD experts may be able to provide you some help.

EB Train Tech Makes the One-Million Mark!
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks for the nice works Kyphur. In addition, when you consider the number of LEGO Train sets compared to other themes; and the fact that LEGO Trains is a sub-theme of City, I'd say we are doing pretty good. -
Tony: your pictures are always amazing! This looks a like a great calendar for LEGO Train fans.

Congratulations to our LEGO Train community! 2011 has been a popular year for LEGO Trains. Train Tech topics had over One Million views in 2011. The year is not even over and Train Tech ranks #6 of the most viewed forum on EB. That's because of our members and the interesting topics that you post. Thank you for your continued support of the forum, great Train MOCs and MODs, technical discussions, and layouts that steer the LEGO Train community to EB's Train Tech forum. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! -TheBrickster

Hi Udo. Welcome to Train Tech and to EB. I have merged your topic here as this is the place to introduce yourself to other members. Looks like you've done some interesting electical tinkering. I really admire your old DB train. I've always been a fan of the big black & red German steam locomotives. Those were some impressive trains! (in real life and in LEGO). I hope you enjoy the forum and I look forward to seeing some of your other custom work. Frohe Weihnachten.

Hi James. Welcome to Train Tech and to EB. It's nice to see a long-standing member of the LEGO Train community join us. Sounds like you've been collecting LEGO Trains for some time. I hope you enjoy the forum and feel free to share pictures of your trains/MOCs any time.

Just make sure your link ends with a .jpg and you should be fine. I edited your initial post adding the first picture.

I recommend you create a FlickR or Majhost.com account. Both are free and you can post your images immediately. Once you have an image link, you simply use [ img]image link[ /img]. Note: no spaces within the brackets [].

Why not post an image in this topic? Your Mocpages page is not available yet.

Captain J: not to come down too hard on your building efforts, but this doesn't look like much of anything. It looks like a random stack of bricks with not much symmetry or pattern in its design. Is it suppose to have an overall shape or was there something you were aiming to create? Perhaps its the colors that's throwing me? I read your comment above, but I'm looking for something that associates this creation to the Train Tech forum - like track or a train. Personally, I would suggest you photograph your creation after you've had some time to work on the overall scene. Maybe then we could appreciate what you're trying to accomplish.

I think it's been discussed here as well but I can't seem to find it either.

We have a topic to discuss the possible discontinuation of available trains. Your topic has been merged.

Welcome Bricks n Bolts. I love those "vintage" trains. Among your collection, I've always liked that little yellow boxcar from 7735. To me, it brings back those memories of looking at early German LEGO Train catalogues, long before I owned a train. I wish I could say I owned any of the 12V trains. Hope you continue to enjoy Train Tech. Grogall: you've been a long standing member of EB and I've really enjoyed all your pictures of new sets over the years. Thanks for sharing them with us. I'm glad you finally visited here and shared your collection with us. You need a little bitmap picture of your collection because you've certainly got a nice collection. I can certainly understand your limites space for a layout. I have the same problem myself. I really think it's neat that you have multiples of all the great sets - in fact, that's a lot! I own only one of most of them, but still feel lucky to have them. Hope you both enjoy our EB LEGO Train community. Happy Holidays!

Fort Legoredo Photo Review Part I

Appears the Index link no longer works. Had to search for it: Part 2 I just wish it was a better review. -
Fort Legoredo Photo Review Part I
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It's been 5+ years since I did this review - in fact it was one of my firsts. It's great to see that interest in the WW theme is still alive and well. -
Where do you put your third man for the Maersk Train?
WesternOutlaw replied to clcwong's topic in LEGO Train Tech
This is funny - let's see where it goes. Edit: made me look to see where mine was. Oh, that's right, in the bag with the other two stuffed in a storage container to keep off the dust (being on shelf and all).
