  1. Thanks SD, it's one of my favorites too.
  2. I purchased it from LSAH when it was re-released. It's a nice ship and has a collapsible mast (nice touch). I particularly like the figs and the compass.
  3. I like the 2nd one the best.
  4. This MOC reminds me of Lincoln Logs.
  5. I've still got most of the pieces and instructions to the sets you mention.
  6. The top of the yellow coach lifted off allowing two figs to sit down on both sides (if I recall correctly). I would imagine the red one did the same. Playmobil 3803 Coach
  7. The main advantage is it make the inside more "playable", esp if I can make the top lift off.
  8. In US Dollars: There's 103 figs in the picture. Frontier Patrol (set 6706) comes with three figs. One would need 35 Frontier Patrol sets to get 103 figs. At a price of $6.99 per set, that comes to $244.65 dollars. That's a unit cost (per fig) of $2.38 which would probably be the cheapest way to purchase this many new. It would also give you 35 black horses. That's about 210 Euro total (2 Euro/fig) -and you wouldn't get the same fig assortment/quantity of each fig as this. I would have to guess the market value which would probably be about double.
  9. As I was looking for some old photos, I came upon this 1975 Lego Catalogue. Take a look at the cover and the city sets within. You'll notice the Brick Yard from my collection (I wouldn't be surprised if this catalogue came from the set). The older Eurobrick members would appreciate this, but we were making the MOCs of today in our heads using only square pieces and a whole lot of imagination. For those of you under 20, you'll be doing the same with the city and Star Wars sets of today. This is what Lego is all about!
  10. The earlier version of the city, my first (pre-road plates - 1980). I'm very pleased to have taken these images years ago. OK, I'm reminiscing now...
  11. Here's one for you. Found this on Brickshelf. It's the most I've seen:
  12. Here's a shot in town (pictured with the Harry Potter graveyard):
  13. yes. Not the best, but it works.
  14. In any image there are mini-figures... Why have you chosen these particular mini-figures? In the Ghost Town image, there's a guy with a knife. He may be in the story. Some of the others next to the colored photos may also be in the story (the banker and the guy with the white hat). I'm still writing and haven't done much lately with mocs and such.
  15. Layout Back in 2001, I broke out my old Lego collection which had been in the garage for many years, and sorted and rebuilt the sets to display. Combined with the classics are a few newer sets including Adventure, Divers, and even a Caribbean Clipper (not so new then but compared to the yellow castle, they were at the time). I have the majority of the instructions still intact, but have lost some over the years. I came across this picture in looking for something else, and thought I would share. This is probably the most sets I had ever built and displayed at the same time (not shown are the Wild West sets and Ninja that I had separately. Every one of these sets were purchased for me new (as gifts or by myself), some dating back to the mid/late 70s. In looking at the sets, they bring back a lifetime of Lego memories. PS. none of the sets pictured were newer Legends (like Main Street).
  16. No, unfortunately, it's sealed up. I was needing a church for the Ghost Town story I'm writing. I don't have too many pieces to work with and just about ran out of white. No smooth plates either to make a roof that comes off.
  17. Phes, do you display all your pirates or break them apart to build MOCs?
  18. In which image?
  19. Thanks Sting. I just found this pic on Brickshelf. Not being partial, I think I like mine better. But the yellow one is nicely done and probably the best that I've seen. Brickshelf Stagecoach
  20. Six would allow more space in the cab, but I'd have to revamp the wheels and almost rebuild completely. I think I'll leave it four.
  21. I made some of the changes that you guys recommended and added some custom decals. I think it came out pretty good (if I don't say so myself). I like the pieces above the windows on the yellow moc (as covers for the windows). If I had four of these, I think it would add to the detail. Close up: Trunk:
  22. That's fine, I do them for myself - but the comments are appreciated. I'll also be building more. The Index link will keep them together.
  23. Here's an image of a great coach MOC that I saw on 1000steine. The person who built this has done some great Western MOCs. This is what I meant when I said detailed - you can see the big difference. It's also 6-studs wide giving the figs a lot of room.
  24. Thanks. Actually, I built this a month or two ago for Ghost Town. But that is true of the western coach. I've got a few others that I haven't taken pictures of yet.
  25. Part of Ghost Town, here's a recent MOC of a western church: Straight view of the front: Rear view: Front close-up: Overall, a fairly simpe design that seemed to work well.
