  1. That was the original U.S. price when the set was released - not the current market value.
  2. I actually like these horses. It makes them unique. - esp the white one in Rain Dance Ridge.
  3. I've got about 4-5 of each of these figs. My only complaint about the WW sets is that they made the same figs in all the sets. I'd rather have Army troops.
  4. I haven't seen this set for under $12 - $15. I doubt you can still find it for less.
  5. I don't think they're common now. That makes these even more detailed.
  6. Wild West, Native American, Chief's Tepee, Set# 6746. 131 pcs. A medium sized Native American set that was a pretty good value and has some nice details. The set includes a tepee, totem pole, stream, three figs, hollow tree trunk, and lots of weapons/accessories. A birds-eye view: Close up of the tepee. The round section in the middle is only attached from the top allowing it to be opened. The tepee frame: Turning the totem pole turns the trap with a snake inside: Some very nice figs. I love the detail: And check out the weapons. I love these shields: And the back of the box: Overall, this is a nice medium sized Native American set. I particularly like the tepee and the figs (like with all these sets).
  7. I like the noses and their eyes. The eyes are very good. Whoever designed the paint/faces for these did a terrific job.
  8. Lego Wild West Sheriff's Showdown 6712 - 26 pieces A small fig set with sheriff and black-dressed outlaw (he looks familiar). Also includes a small campfire. A closer view. Not sure why Lego never had an outlaw with a black hat: Box:
  9. Wild West, Native American Sub-theme: Tribal Chief 6709, 14 Pieces A single fig set with horse, but nicely detailed: I love these figs. Notice the face, head dress, and details: And the box:
  10. Wild West, Native American Subtheme: Rain Dance Ridge 6718 71 pieces with two figs and one horse. Unfortunately not as popular as the cowboy sets of the Wild West theme, here's a pic review of one of the smaller Native American sets, Rain Dance Ridge. This set depicts a small stream/hideout, home to two Native Americans: I must admit that I was not too fond of the Native American sets myslef, but after looking at some of the wonderful details, esp. the figs, one can appreciate these sets. The section with the snake lifts up causing the snake to slide down into the stream: A top view of the set. Very simple, but fun. I particularly like these hollowed out tree stumps. Great place to hide weapons or hide in to ambush cowboys: What I most like in all of the Native American sets, are the very detailed figs. Look at their torsos and their faces - very nicely done. The horses are very detailed as well. This set also includes two bows and quivers, one for each fig (only pictured one in image): And the back of the box: This is a nice little set and a great way to get started with the Native American sub-theme. The detail of the figs and great wilderness pieces (tree stump, blue tiles, grey rocks, bushes/twigs, make this a good set for other themes. And these figs have to be some of the most detailed figs in lego history - very nice!
  11. Lego Wild West Frontier Patrol, 6706 - released 1996, $6.99 U.S.D. A small troop set for your Wild West collection, my 2nd WW set. I just wish I had purchased a few more of these. Different view: The back of the box: This is a great troop set to add to your Union army.
  12. I'd like to read the letters out loud.
  13. Nice. This would make a good pirate hideout.
  14. Thanks for sharing. I'm always curious to see other collections. I bet Bloody Jay's got a big collection too. I don't have an image of my recent city with trains, but it's a lot of sets (new ones). I regret not taking an image before destroying to build the Wild West town. You've got a lot of classics as well; I bet, like your ship. That's a sweet set.
  15. Looks like a Lego workshop and a pretty good collection too. Do you build a lot of MOCs? I get in to the habit of just building sets, displaying them for a while, then putting them back in the box.
  16. Definitely. I would love to see Lego build some Civil War sets - esp. confederate soldiers. We should petition Lego! But I'd have to go with the Union - won't get in to politics. Both armies had some great generals; but unfortunately, it was American vs. American, which is probably the saddest time in American history. Check this out (Brickshelf find - not mine) Also check out the Wild West reviews and other related posts in the Castles & Pirates Forum. Here's a link to some pic reviews I did recently and a few MOCs. Wild West Pic Reviews
  17. Hobbes: I'd like to see your collection (in case I want to break in). Do you have a recent shot?
  18. that will remain a mystery.
  19. characters (names and story-line)
  20. In doing a little more research, it looks like Wells Cargo was also known for their red brick buildings with green shutters (this should be easy for Lego mocs). Not surprising that they paint their coaches the same "trade" color for easy recognition.
  21. It sounds like coaches were made in other colors, but according to the attached article:, "Wells Fargo will forever be remembered for the Overland Stage Line with the large red Concord Stagecoaches so familiar to us all". It was probably a marketing ploy on their part to use a color that stood out and appeared "faster" - if they knew this then. Stagecoach History
  22. Not yet, still too early
  23. This will be different, but can't divulge at this time.
  24. Not yet Phes, but this should be pretty easy (if I had some smooth tiles).
