  1. Very interesting story Lord B. I am most interested in the mysterious Andamir. I always like these types of characters. Do you plan to expand this story and build additional MOCs? Great intro story!
  2. Looking forward to seeing additional MOCs from you, and thank you for your comments regarding the Putrid Mill.
  3. I always thought Blondie was a good guy. He looks too nice to be a bandit.
  4. Iamed: you really did a good job designing a nice MOC with KK pieces. I have a lot of difficulty with these larger KK pieces and am impressed with how you put them together well. Most impressive is the detail of the interior, which really looks great. Most excellent!
  5. I really like these buildings. They really make a nice addition to your keep. I esp. like the mill with water wheel and the yellow corner building. The size of the buildings and how you arrayed them really works well. Overall, an excellent job!
  6. Really nice SN. I love the little waterfall and the building design. My only complaint is the towers which I see others have commented about. They would look better straight. It's probably much easier to make these straight; and if they were, I would give this MOC a 10. I really like the size and the detail. Nice job!
  7. Very nice assortment of custom WW bandits Apache. I also like the small cave/hideout. A good western scene would not be complete without some sort of hiding place for these great WW villains you put together. I esp. like the Southerner with the grey cap and black bandana, as well as the bandit with Indian face. He looks real good. It's great to see someone else making some quality WW scenes/MOCs. Nice job!
  8. Thanks. I have some, but generally no. Lately, I've been building one at a time and destroying. Thanks Apache. I've got some new ideas that I might pursue in the near future. Oh, BTW- I like your avatar. Great to see some new WW fans. *y*
  9. First, let me express a sincere "thank you" for all of the feedback. Your comments really make me feel that others enjoy these MOCs making the building and the writing of the stories very worthwhile. No, actually, it was not. I got the idea from this great mill I found on Brickshelf: I had no idea how to make a very nice rounded wheel using my existing pieces. I did; however, use an old classic red wheel and black 2x4 with hole to connect it to the building. I would like to add actual gears inside that would turn as the wheel does. I've misplaced my box of technic gears though. Thank you very much. This is truly a very nice compliment because there are many MOCers on EB that are far better than me and use much more advanced building techniques (in my opinion). I hope to make up for some of my limitations through good story/theme which I always like to add. I never count the # of pieces or provide a price for the MOCs though??? Good question. Believe it or not, I haven't added the interior details yet. I have not figured out what to do inside. I like your ideas though.
  10. I'm always late with the birthday wishes as well. Sne: I've always consider you one of the "old-timers" on EB and enjoyed the debates with Phes. I wish you a Happy Birthday and many more years on EB. PS. One of these days I'll share some of my classic space sets in your forum. This one's for you: I've still got them in a box somewhere.
  11. Belated Birthday wishes! Hope you got all the Lego that you wanted.
  12. Nice job Timento. This is really a neat little house. A few of these houses would make a great viking village. I also like the way you designed the roof and you've spared no detail by making it removable. Nice interior as well. Great job!
  13. I was just checking LSAH US for train cars (rolling stock) and discovered that only one set is available. The two cars listed include the Green Passenger Wagon (10015) - (still available), and the High Speed Train Car (10158) that is sold out. I think this is really a good indication that Lego may be offering some new rolling stock soon. Some might say that this is perhaps just wishful thinking on my part, but with existing stock depleted, we may be seeing some new sets soon. Keep your fingers and your tracked crossed. *y*
  14. I knew you'd love it. I think when someone builds the SF and sees first hand how it's put together, you can really appreciate the design.
  15. Thanks for all the positive feedback. For those of you interested in the Grave Stone story and imagery, here's a shot of Putrid Creek flowing through one of the canyons of the Shadow Mountains:
  16. Putrid Creek Mill Some believe that the waters of Grave Stone have long since dried up, but tell that to old Morty Perkins who fishes along Putrid Creek every early morning just before sunrise. Old Morty haunts Putrid Creek Mill, a dilapidating wooden mill that was build during the gold rush. Not much is known about Putrid Creek and where its waters come from, but some say that it is a mysterious river that only appears at midnight during a full moon, its dark waters flowing from the canyon of the Shadow Mountains. There is a legend that a greedy band of miners found the burial cavern of an ancient Indian people in the Shadow Mountains and dared to desecrate the tomb by stealing some of the sacred objects found within. An ancient Indian curse was unlocked along with a grotto filled with water that flooded the cavern drowning most of the miners within. The water was cursed and is known to some as Putrid Water for no living thing can drink the poisoned water and survive. Legend also tells that the Putrid Water can be used to resurrect the dead, if the ancient Indian spirits are called. The old mill stands at the end of Putrid Creek before the waters enter the underground caverns and grottos beneath Grave Stone. Old Morty Perkins knows the secrets of Putrid Creek and even knows how to venture upstream through the canyon to the source of the waters, but who knows what he dares catch in the dark waters near Putrid Creek Mill. *skull* more pictures to come...
  17. A foresty version of the old knight's helmet. Very interesting color. I'm not sure if I care much for a green helmet :-X . It may have a nice use in a Forestmen MOC.
  18. Poomerio: The SFSC is the best engine Lego ever made. You will enjoy it. The design is far better than that of any train made to date. The cabin includes room for the cunductor and an engineer. It's a great set! Here's some images I took a while back as well as a link to "face-off" between the SC and the BNSF: Image Review Face-Off Also, here's a link to a poll for favorite engine: Favorite Engine These might be some nice references for you. Hope you enjoy your new engine! I'm sure you'll *wub* it.
  19. I didn't realize it had technic pins and holes in it. I don't have enough to make this work for me, unless I try building without.
  20. That's very good. I will try it and see what it looks like. Will it stay together?
  21. I'm not set on any dimensions inparticular, but rather just looking for something in minifig scale that would be in scale with a WW building. I'm thinking nothing more than 4 studs wide and 5-6 studs high - but I'm flexible if the size works.
  22. Over the past few years, I've attempted to design a good Lego Wild West building window using a few different techniques. I want a window that is rather tall and has four panes. The traditional 4-pane Lego window is too short, but stacking one on top of the other doesn't work well either. Here's a few images of what I'm trying to design (the windows that is): The only thing that I came up with was a combination of 4 2x2 windows - but it lacked a nice border/trim. Do any of you have any suggestions? PS. This is an interesting technique, but a little too large:
