LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Azani replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Are there reviews up? Dude, yeah, of course; JANG finds a way. :P To be straight-up though, yes, they are showing up around the US and in parts of the EU. Yeah, y'know, while I can understand the idea, it's absolutely worng; sorry. I'm 100% sure that it's coming. It (Boba Fett) should be in some sort of kit come May; and yeah, I'd bet on a polybag. Yes; we've been seeing tons of different articles on it. Check out Rebelscum. :) For those who haven't heard, it is definitely a thing. Literally guaranteed. And yeah, I'm pretty certain that it's still releasing in May. Haha, nah. I wish... -
As far as Incredibles 2 and JWFK are concerned, yeah, those two are pretty crystal-clear. Apologies; what I meant was that I know about as much on HP as I do for PP Girls, Star Wars, and such; anything that's coming out around August, September, or October of this year. Really excited to see how they do the Whomping Willow... the video game set a high bar, with respect to what TLG can actually pull off.

Well, I don't know; to be honest, I feel like I pretty much know about as much regarding HP/FB : CoG as I do any other licensed theme.

Star Wars Constraction 2018 Discussion & Rumors
Azani replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Well, thanks for confirming what I said, I guess. :P Want to elaborate? -
Yup; those were typos; I was copying & pasting a little too fast. :) 99 cents for each would have been pretty odd... Hey, no worries. Totally alight; I just wanted to see if I could help set the list on the right track there. For the record, it is really tough to keep track of.

Alright, let me see if I can help out with this one; I've been keeping track. :) So, no offense, but I think that you're just guessing random numbers, dude. Should be something like this. 75950 - [Harry Potter (Films 1-7) Set], $14.99 US 75951 - Grindelwald's Escape, $19.99 US, 132 pieces 75952 - [Fantastic Beasts Set], $??? US 75953 - Whomping Willow, $??? US 75954 - Hogwarts Great Hall, $99.99 US, 878 pieces 75956 - [Unknown Retailer Exclusive] There was zero reason to believe that 75952 was the suitcase, but @Sir von Lego seemed to suggest that it was actually coming; if he could clarify, then that would be fantastic.

[RUMOR] Bionicle might be returning in 2019

There is. If you decided to write anything else past that point for whatever reason, I didn't read it. -
Star Wars Constraction 2018 Discussion & Rumors
Azani replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Well, in essence, a fellow on /lg/ claimed that he had seen some promotional materials/catalogs for the summer, and that they included a new constraction theme. For some crazy reason, no one ever bothered to ask him for the name of the theme or any further details, though they decided to pretend that they had to make themselves look extra clever. :) Nope. Anyways, it was patently clear from the start that the fellow on /lg/ was just trolling folks, even apart from any analysis of what he was saying. Why would anyone believe an anon on /toy/? No idea. -
All of the Walmart/Target exclusive Brickheadz will be available in the EU. To be honest, you can probably look forward to getting them before we do in the states. :) No comment right now, this early in the year; my apologies.

[RUMOR] Bionicle might be returning in 2019
Azani replied to TwistLaw's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Holy crap. Are you alright, dude? Yes, it's not a sign or a promise; yes, we won't see anything like G1 for a long, long, time - if we ever do. But man, there's no need to be so intense about it; we're just speculating, dude. We may still have SW constraction kits to look forward to, which is pretty fantastic, and there's no indication that TLG is getting rid of CCBS 100%. I mean, TLG doesn't really work like that. Anyways, you're not anonymous on here like you'd be over on 4chan, so we can see who's behind all the silly things that you're saying. Just a heads-up. Quick thought on this: Sure, but here's the thing. You've got some good points, irrespective of the fact that I'm in agreement with @Mesonak on this one. If it makes you feel any better, it took a lot to convince me. However, dude, you had to add this: Haha, so, yeah... that's not true. Even if someone disagrees sharply on a subject that you feel strongly about, you don't get to decide that they just "don't understand" the topic as well as you do. C'mon. -
Correct. Somehow, a certain fellow figured that out before TLG's announcement, which I did not expect. Very bizarre. Anyways, 41613 will be Mr. Incredible & Frozone. Should be 19.99 in the US like FalconFan said, and I think that it's actually less than 200 pieces. I'd need to double check on that. As I had let on earlier, it should be releasing in late April with 41614; that said, it's exclusive to somewhere. Might be Walmart; not sure. Indiana Jones would have been really awesome; TRON too. The good news is that there are still quite a few unrevealed Brickheadz coming in the last few months of the year... :) I've updated my above list.

Man, I want to live in suspense! :) I suspect that he'd have shared any details that he had by this point in time, if he was willing to do so. I don't know anything about Porg/75230, but I don't think that that's what 75203 is. -
[RUMOR] Bionicle might be returning in 2019
Azani replied to TwistLaw's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yeah, I mean, maybe. It's definitely true that they didn't last in any capacity for a particularly long while, and I get that. I don't think that they were much worse than the average "themed" system ste from that era, though. I'd love for this to be true, and it's intriguing, but it's worth noting that Yeow is absolutely right. Maybe a lot of folks are searching up the term "Bionicle 2019"? Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Brickset can run a better prank than this. :) -

Just to clarify, as I said above, I was kind of kidding. That said, I hadn't read SvL's post in detail; thank you for the heads-up on that one. -

More like $600. Yeah, I definitely don't think that it's super likely, but it's a possibility. :) I was mostly joking, to be honest. Nope. -

Azani replied to TwistLaw's topic in LEGO Action Figures
No, they weren't "proven flops". I don't want to go too off-topic here, but did we ever hear any word on how well the playsets sold at retail? They seemed pretty fantastic to me, and still are. As 2018 sets, they'd be terrible, but as 2006 sets? They were fine. -
LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Azani replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Haha, ah, well... Since there wasn't really any evidence to show that it ever was planned, it can't really be canceled. You might say that it was "Cloud City Bull S___. :P Yeah, as @Tommy_Hewitt said, 'CCBS" is the term used to describe the usual building system that TLG's constraction figures utilize. Man, it would really suck if those never saw any sort of release... This is just a guess, going off of what SvL said, but could 75222 CC = 75222 "Cute Creature"? Maybe that's what our October UCS is... The May one is definitely a Y-Wing. Exactly. I have heard of them, but the track record of Sir von Lego suggests that he is correct. That said, he doesn't explictly claim that it's a Porg; he just strongly implies as much. -
Nope; they're not due to see release for another month or so. A few folks have managed to get them, though. IMO that is Chewie's worst angle; he looks much better from the side or from a 45 degree perspective.

Lego Ninjago Season 9 Set Names
Azani replied to LegoNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, not exactly, and you're missing a few, but as @Agent Kallus said, this is a little better suited to a different subforum. Regardless, welcome! -
Correct. 41611 Marty McCoy & Doc Brown will launch at $19.99 US. Thanks @dimaks13 for that bit. I wouldn't necessarily say so. Yeah, so, just to clarify, this is what we'll be seeing: April 41613 Mr. Incredible & Frozone (Exclusive) 41614 Owen & Blue (Walmart Exclusive) May 41610 Tactical Batman & Superman (Exclusive) 41611 Marty McFly & Doc Brown (Exclusive) July 41615 Harry Potter & Hedwig 41616 Hermione 41617 Elsa 41618 Anna & Olaf 41619 Darth Vader 41620 Stormtrooper August 41612 [Steve & Creeper] (Wal-Mart Exclusive) 41624 Mickey Mouse 41625 Minnie Mouse October 41626 Groot & Rocket Raccoon 41627 Luke & Yoda 41628 Princess Leia 41629 Boba Fett
-
Actually, as bizarre as it is, no. :) It's been in LEGO, though. No further comment on this one until TLG announces it.
-
No, sorry. :) I can't say what it is at the moment, but it's another IP that we've never seen a Brickheadz tie-in for, and one that I frankly never expected.
-
Just so y'all know, I was mistaken about the relevant licnese/subtheme behind 41613. It's not a JWFK kit, despite the fact that it's releasing in April; it'll be connected to a differing IP. Looks like the codename for 41614 threw me off.
