  1. Thanks for supporting me. Could you provide me your email address here or in a message? So I can share the google photo album with you.
  2. Thank you for your support! Actually, I have been improving the design for a while since I created the Lego Ideas project, and it runs even faster than what the video shows, and sturdier.
  3. Update: The instructions for this MOC are finally available. You can send me a message here with your email address and I will share it with you through google photos. (Due to the well-known reason, I don't plan to make the instructions wild public yet.) Please DO NOT share/sell these instructions. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a8ee33fb-e39e-4139-bd94-a6f0eda9dbf7 Here are some sample steps: Thank you for your support!
  4. I have to say that this solution is very creative. Thanks. Actually, I got the password from someone in a message. (I guess that it is not proper to post the password here.) and then I can unzip the io file, and replace the wrong part number in a text editor.
  5. I did check there, it mentioned that it is caused by a submodel. But in my case, this happens randomly, though often, with the same file. So I think it should not be my model. Thanks for replying!
  6. I am using Studio 2.0 to render image for my model, but recently I started to get the following error when I started the renderer: "Can not create log file". Does anyone know a solution to this? Thanks
  7. Yes, that is a good approach. But I have instructions in the file, and it won't survive the export and import. i noticed that the .io file is actually a zip file which contains a bunch of LTD file, but those files seem to be password protected. Any idea what the password is?
  8. Hi, I am working in Studio 2.0, and almost done with my design. But when I do the instruction, I notice that I misuse part 4459(pin with friction with central slot) for part 2780(pin with friction without central slot). So the question is, is there a easy way to replace part of one type to another type in studio? Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the advice. I will post some read build photos here as well as in the project. You have a very good point. I didn't realize that I posted this thread in the wrong forum. Thanks!
  10. I think the reason of this issue is that, the cord of the servo motor becomes a submodel when importing from mpd. Still don't know how to prevent this submodel to become its own step. Any expert on Studio?
  11. Thank you all for the responses. The most risk comes from "someone will grad the instructions and sell them". I just checked the famous someone "lepin.com", and it really makes my eyes wild open. A lot of things are so familiar. Although, Lego ideas only prevents the author from monetizing the design, but who knows, if your design is already sold by someone, it is hard to imagine your Lego ideas project can move along smoothly. Ok, seems like that holding the instructions myself for now is a better choice.
  12. I don't have a Lamborghini in my garage, so can't measure the exact scale of this model. But I am using the following wheel https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=15038#T=C So most likely, it is 1:12. (or 1:11?) It took a bit effort to make the doors to look like the real ones, i.e., when moving up, it tilts outside.
  13. This is my new scaled model of Lamborghini Aventador SV. It is fully remote controlled, and all parts are Lego original. Features in this design include: 1. Independent suspension on all 4 wheels. 2. Openable front hood. 3. Openable rear hood. 4. Openable doors (scissor doors). 5. 2 x L motors for driving. 6. 1 x servo motor for steering. 7. Working steering wheel along with steering (540 degree lock-to-lock). 8. Working front lights along with driving motors. 9. Working rear lights along with steering motor. Here are some renders: And photos from a real build: If you like the design, please help me to vote this project on Lego Idea at https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a8ee33fb-e39e-4139-bd94-a6f0eda9dbf7. Thanks! Most pictures and demonstration of a real build can be found in the following YouTube video: (The design in this video is a little outdated though.) https://youtu.be/0_s7bIbEg6I Instructions are available. If you want it, please let me know in this post or in a personal message with your email address, I will share it with you in google photos. Thanks
  14. I am creating instruction in Studio after importing a mpd file which contains a servo motor from a template. But in Studio instruction maker, the servo motor step is split as below: Do anyone know how to solve this? Thanks
  15. I never submitted any "Lego Ideas" project, and I planed to do that now. So a general question is - if I have instructions for the project, should I share it on internet while running the "Lego Ideas" project? or I should hold it in private until my "Lego Ideas" project reaches its conclusion (approved or rejected). Thanks in advance for your suggestion.
  16. All parts are original Lego parts, and I don't think I used any super rare or expensive one. Maybe the most expensive one is below: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=44#T=S&C=5&O={"color":5,"iconly":0} $6 for each buying in USA. That is why I chose to build a black roof so I can save 4 of them.
  17. Found a solution for the vents (areas behind the door) as below: I have to sacrifice the angle of the area, but it looks much better overall.
  18. I have to agree with Meatman. The area behind the doors suppose to be a vent as below: It is hard to achieve the overall shape nicely due to the tilt of the vent plus the curves at the top and the bottom. Actually, my daughter hates that part too. :). Let me see if I can find a way to improve it again. (I have improved it many times already, trust me.)
  19. Just re-did the front side of the design, so it gets closer to what it should look like, pls check the images in the title post. It also give me enough space to put a complete tongue into the mouth. (Not sure what is the official name for the red bar in the middle of the front side.)
  20. Functions include: 1. independent suspension on all 4 wheels. 2. Openable front hood 3. Openable rear hood 4. Openable doors (scissor doors) 5. 2 L motors for driving 6. 1 servo motor for steering 7. Working steering wheel along with steering (540 degree lock-to-lock) 8. Working front lights along with driving motors. 9. Working rear lights along with steering motor. Here are some photos from my prototype real build. (Some parts may have different color than the design.)
  21. This is my second wave of 1:12 scaled super car. - In case you missed my first one, here is it: As a huge fun of Lamborghini, I decided to tackle Aventador SV this time. The design is almost done, and below are some CG pictures. Stay tuned for more details and instructions.
  22. Thanks for the replies! There is a "studio designer" app which can import a LDR file easily to studio as a custom part, so I can see my flex axle now in studio.
  23. I am working on my new MOC in LDCad, but when opening it in Studio, the soft axle is missing. Does anyone know how to make up for it? (I really like the rendering function and the instruction maker in Studio, so I have to use it.)
  24. Sure. Thank you for the help here.
