  1. It was said to have been the only one to leak, because it was the only set in the retailer catalogue that actually had a picture.
  2. I pretty sure that was the case. Not that he was generally unreliable; something clearly changed with Lego's plans I'd say.
  3. @Legohp25 Wow! I love how you've got it all risen up on the rock.
  4. @RandomSniper109 That dragon shadow is very cool ;)
  5. I love the dragon and the broomstick on top of the towers. :)
  6. Thank you for all your replies and picture. It's cool to see how others display their collections.
  7. Exactly. For starters, I don't believe the Nebulon would have been offered as a choice without Lego knowing they could make the model stable etc. Personally I voted for the Gunship so I've got my choice, but I do hope, and can't help but think, that Lego will consider the Nebulon considering it also attracted considerable attention.
  8. Oh wow. Mine is a lot less fancy, although I do have my figures in a display case (I'll try and upload a pic later). My sets are just on shelves though. Dust is my enemy. My dad built me some 'custom shelves' so to speak to fit in a corner of my room. I have the ability to move the shelves up or down in case of height changes (very handy when you don't know how tall the next castle section may be!), but I am limited to a 30cm depth x 100cm length. That's the trouble with Lego; you only ever have so much space. But in the case of this theme I am definitely not complaining. :) Tell me about it. One video said 'unboxing'; the guy proceeded to literally rip open the box (turns out the set inside was used anyway and the box had been taped shut), but it was like watching a horror movie!
  9. Thank you so much. I couldn't find a decent unboxing video or picture. :) That was my thinking. On a different subject, how do you all display the sets? I have mine on shelves, but they are only long enough to display the current three castle sections so the Astronomy Tower is going to have to go on the shelf above. Not how it's meant to be obviously, but I'm sure a lot of us don't have surfaces with the depth and breadth to accommodate an ever expanding castle. Hopefully it will look good on it's own as the Great Hall or Clocktower would.
  10. On another note, can anyone help me out and tell me if the troll's cloth vest and loinclith from 4712 came in sealed carboard boxes likes the capes of today. Thanks in advance. :)
  11. ^ Exactly. I did own some of the first few HP sets as a child and then sold them when money was needed. Not that I regret it now because whilst they were good for their time and still stand up pretty well, they had yellow face figures and they are now being outshone by these new sets for me. And I have no desire to go back and get any of the sets now, even those which I never got and have some highly desirable minifigures (Bellatrix, Molly, Arthur, Fred, George etc) because I have faith Lego will redo these figures and do them well. I have only bought the old Fluffy bigfig because I really wanted that as a child and I don't think Lego will redo that one for a while if at all. My Lego collecting journey also restarted after a dark age about four years ago now and started with modulars and Star Wars and anything else that really caught my eye. I have now quit the modulars and even stepped back considerably on my Star Wars purchases. Two big factors in that are space and the ridiculous pricing of recent Star Wars sets, but the main factor is 100% these new HP sets. Growing up my passions were Star Wars and Harry Potter so you can imagine how excited I was to find the HP line was coming back, but the fact that they have has really quashed my deep passion for the Star Wars sets of late because they just outshine them. When you only have so much money to spend, something has to give and HP is now basically getting my full attention,
  12. I'm not saying the designers don't try with other themes, but I just get the feeling with Harry Potter that the designers are loving creating the sets as much as we are enjoying getting them. I hope the theme continues for a good while and stays feeling as fresh and high quality as it has done so far.
  13. It certainly sounds like it going on that new information. Ah you tease! Sounds good.
  14. Don't worry we're all good :) Too excited about what's coming to care.
  15. So no chance it was just a placeholder for Cody then? That is a strange choice not to include him; going on the rumoured price point for the set, Cody would have been the main draw for a lot of people, myself included.
  16. Thanks for the info. So is it just a 212th trooper then?
  17. Interesting. Did you get the inspiration from the Hogwarts Castle's towers? I've always found it cute how they construct the towers on that build.
  18. They may do. That's partly my point; we don't yet know this year's full lineup. But if not and they come in the CMF then at least we get them.
  19. I would consider myself a 'true fan' and I have to say that I am not 'extremely unhappy', but extremely expectant and excited. As @Lego-Freak said, we don't yet know the CMF lineup or whether we have heard of all the sets yet and Lego did a good job of complementing sets with the CMF offering before. This year, not only does it sound like the prices are staying reasonable, but if I was to hazard a guess I'd say Lego will again compliment these new sets by providing minifigures in the CMF that broaden their playability. I would not be surprised at all if the CMF is where we find Tonks, Kingsley, Bellatrix, Ginny etc whilst the sets contain the more 'core' characters for those scenes that will be recognisable to the more casual consumer / parent / child etc. I am just happy that Lego is releasing more Harry Potter sets of such good quality and I think it's too soon to write off the prospects of getting figures of those desired Death Eater / Order of the Phoenix members just yet.
  20. Hello and welcome. Thank you for the new information. :) Love the sound of the Greenhouse!
  21. Thanks for the info. I find a few things interesting: 1) I'm surprised the Room Of Requirement is a Hogwarts room that doesn't fit onto or into the current Hogwarts sections. It seemed they were going modular with Hogwarts. 2) I wouldn't be surprised (and would love) if Privet Drive came with Fred and George. It would make sense with the car, but I feel it's too much to hope for. 3) Hedwig would have to come with an 'exclusive' figure. Really hope it doesn't.
  22. That they do. Like I said on the SW thread, they put some other licensed themes to shame. It just shows that licensed doesn't have to = ridiculous pricing. And it makes our waiting so much more exciting because we're all thinking: 'No, you can't possibly get that, that and that in a set for £X!' ?
  23. I suppose it depends on the scale. I can see them going relatively small to capture all those who wouldn't think of buying it if it was bigger, both due to space and cost. A smaller, but still detailed, model would probably catch the eye of those who maybe aren't even generally into buying Lego but think it would make a cute little display piece.
  24. Haha yes. Star Wars alone will bankrupt you these days :)
  25. So this is probably the 'big set but not a playset' the leaker referred to I suppose. I'm sure Lego will do a good job, but as someone who loves the minifigures it may be my first HP pass.
