Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
BacktoBricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
So a Lego Star Wars Razor Crest, which is now available for preorder from S@H for September, has just been revealed at the NYTF. So as I have yet to be able to watch The Mandalorian the hype is completely lost on me and I'm just over here hoping that Lego will reveal some HP sets to the public at the NYTF. ? -

Good spot. They also say thay the Soulless One will come with 'a clonetrooper, although it will not be a nameless clone trooper ...'. If they are hinting that it comes with Commander Cody then that goes against what others have said. Now I'm getting confused. -

I'm interested to know if we'll get any jedi minifigures, besides Obi-Wan and Anakin. I still need Luminara, Stass Allie, Aayla Secura to name a few, not to mention I was hoping we would see a non CW style Shaak Tii by now. In the past I would have said a CW wave would be certain to include some jedi as well as clones, but now I'm not so sure. I can source those I don't have obviously, but I don't want to do that and then any of them come in these new sets. Also, if I'm correct in saying that only the April wave will be displayed at NY Toy Fair and not the summer wave, I can't help but think it will be a bit of a lacklustre display for Lego Star Wars. I don't think it will do much to promote the theme. -

Apparently it is an old body with the new helmet according to the 'leaker'. Can any of our more trusted sources confirm is this is real? -

My instant thought in seeing the blurry box art was that the third figure would be a Magna Guard, then it was said to be a clone with orange markings so I thought it was Cody. I was surprised at the idea of it having no Magna Guard considering that it seems like a popular figure with a pre existing mould, but was willing to sacrifice getting that figure for a new Phase 2 Cody. Now it is said not to be Cody I'm taking it that Lego just thinks we are all so desperate for new clone figures we'll drop our money on anything. I still need a Grievous figure so I'm going to wait and see if this new tan variant is a Clone Wars one or a ROS version before deciding to buy that or the white one. And I will probably want the Obi-Wan and clone figures, but I won't pay stupid prices for them that's for sure. I think all Lego Star Wars has taken a sale hit at the moment, but yes I hope Lego doesn't correlate poor sales because of silly pricing with prequel sets. -

@Renown said they had seen a slightly better box art and could see Grievous, Obi-Wan and a clone with orange markings. Then ... You were right! @Hoth Rebel said that there is 'no Commander Cody' and 'It's a new variant/outfit. Don't recall if it's 212th'. -

One of the 'leakers' said it was (will have to search back to remember who). They said it was a clone, not Cody, but couldn't remember the variant. -

Lego seems to call the Eta-2s Interceptors and the Delta-7s Starfighters, so like at the moment 75214 is called Anakin's Jedi Starfighter. -

Well an Interceptor and Starfighter are obviously different, but it surprises me that Lego will release two ships in the same price point, both which will include a CW era Anakin and the only difference I can see being between the two Anakin figures is one will probably have the top of the robes more open like in ROS. -

Which leak? I thought there had only been speculation so far beyond the AAT and Soulless One in terms of CW sets. Have I missed something? EDIT: Just seen Instagram -

I know a jedi starfighter makes sense for one of the unknown sets to act as an antagonist to the Separatist sets, but currently 75214 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter is still on the market so I cannot see it being a ship belonging to Anakin. -

I just have one of those memories where names stick like velcro so I never have a problem remembering with either HP or Star Wars which characters have been made in minifigure form and therefore which ones are 'missing' so to speak. But if you're new to collecting or find it difficult, or even just want to formally keep track of what you have, then Brickset provide an excellent database where you can see all the minifigures that have ever been made in a certain theme and you can tick off the ones you have and the ones you don't. -

I think it's because it's been mostly assumed that Lego has moved on from the first three movies and the expectation was that this year would be OOP and HBP sets. Obviously the idea that a Privet Drive set is coming which may include the Ford Anglie and COS minifigures negates that idea, but I get the feeling that is what has put most off from speculating that we will get a Shrieking Shack. That and the fact that the confirmed sets so far are lacking in Order of the Phoenix or Death Eater minifigures, so it would seem logical that the last two sets cover those minifigures and so they are maybe a Burrow and Ministry set. Lego does not always follow what logic would seemingly dictate though so we could all be wrong. -

@jdubbs said there are a few 'bright spots in the wave depending on your point of view' which I have taken to probably refer to the AT-AT considering it's appeal to OT fans and the Night Buzzard considering the call there has been on here for the ship. -

To be honest, I'm not as disappointed with this news as you may think. In fact, the sheer volume of Star Wars material that was being released almost put me off collecting Lego Star Wars because at the end of the day there is only so much money, and space, to go around and it was becoming rather untenable to try and even collect the minifigures. If Lego is scaling down the Star Wars line, I hope it's a case of quality over quantity and we can return to some more original and prequel material (and for goodness sake an Episode 3 Padme - unlike Anakin, Luke and Leia didn't just spring from nowhere, so she is pretty important!). -

Yeah I would be. I'm sure a lot of people will be happy with a new AT-AT. It has been about four years since the last one retired after all. -

Actually I do. I would like to watch it on a good size screen, in proper quality, and more importantly legally and without the risk of catching virus as others have been able to. And to do that I will have to wait until March. I'm not asking that others don't discuss the show; I know not to look if I don't want to see. I have managed to avoid the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda for this long. -

No problem. Sounds like a good plan. Interesting. I hope that they continue to listen to fan feedback and note down not only the desire for perhaps more generic kits, not too steep pricing, but also the perception that their handling of the situation appears less than scrupulous. -

Oh yes I don't disagree with the fact that it needed retconning, but if Disney had shown SW the respect it deserves and had a clear trilogy plot from the start it wouldn't have needed retconning if you get my drift. But I too digress. As for the Night Buzzard, I'm glad those who want it are getting their wish, and Lego certainly isn't shy of making obscure vehicles. I'm looking at you Sandspeeder. I suppose it can just get annoying for some people that Lego can do 'obscure' vehicles, but seem unwilling to give attention to more demanded ships from other eras (ARC-170, Naboo Royal Starship etc) in favour of constant remakes of other ships. It seems to negate the 'they will make what will sell' argument' I suppose. I get the feeling that the Night Buzzard probably played a far more prominent role in the original cut of the movie than the eventual theatrical release, so for Lego it might not have been so obscure.
