  1. Too cool :) Thanks for the link. Now I only have to wait until the end of March to watch Clone Wars and Mandalorian. I enjoyed the new film and don't hate the new trilogy overall, but there was just too much retconning of TLJ and overall sloppiness of story that I have now come to see them as separate from PT and OT Star Wars. They just don't have my heart like the old stuff. But Clone Wars ... Oh yeah.
  2. I would get a third party kit if you want anything soon especially as you might just be paying for almost the same item repackaged by Lego. https://brickset.com/article/48909/night-mode-more-information
  3. Is the Obi-Wan a Utapau version though in tan robes or a white robed clone wars version? As in, have Lego just decided tan is more Grievous' colour and this set is Revenge Of The Sith based as the box art suggests? Thanks for all the info.
  4. I understand what your saying, but I'm just not great at MOCs (or have the building pieces either). I need Lego to do the work for me!
  5. I think Lego will eventually do a COS one way or the other, but I can't help but think it would be so cool if it actually fit underneath the current castle section. I know it's all technically out of proportion anyway, but I still think it would look good being displayed underneath.
  6. Thank you for the clarification. That information seems consistent with what has been said already. :)
  7. Ah yes I think you may be right.
  8. Do you mean Dumbledore's Office as a standalone castle add on? That would be an interesting decision considering that Lego has just included a very small version of that in the Clocktower.
  9. You would think so wouldn't you if there is indeed another car in the Privet Drive set. I've just had a look at the UK Lego website and there is no indication that the set is retiring soon, although the stock checker suggests that stock is low in Lego stores across the country. That may not indicate anything though as the Clock Tower is also low in stock whereas the Great Hall stock seems fine and if low stock = imminent retirement then it would surely be the other way around.
  10. That is true. Except of course, in the Goblet Of Fire, Fred and George arrive at Privet Drive via flu powder so no car required. But I know that the sets are technically based on the movies so ...
  11. Is this a definite though? Could it be that Lego just showed the car from the Whomping Willow set with this new set on display at the toy fair to showcase compatibility with past sets or because the final set wasn't quite finished? I find it strange that Lego would have the same car in two sets. Or could it be that the Whomping Willow is retiring?
  12. I doubt it considering both the Hogwarts Express and Whomping Willow sets are both still on the market.
  13. It's hard to imagine now that the theme wasn't even around a couple of years ago. I feel so lucky to be living in this age.
  14. You just reminded me of Trelawney and her prophecies that's all.
  15. I feel like Professor Trelawney's wandered into the forum.
  16. @Hoth Rebel has basically narrowed it down with hints and is a trusted source as far as I'm aware.
  17. I think that's undeniable and like you I hope it continues. I suspect the designers are having a great time too. Can you imagine being a Lego designer on this theme? Not only can you build and design Lego really well, but you're probably a big HP fan and you get to design the sets with what seems like a fairly healthy budget and freedom. Only downside is, you know exactly what's coming.
  18. I thought you'd say that. The poor little AT-AT is now cowering in the corner.
  19. Don't tell me you've forgotten last year's itty bitty AT-AT
  20. Oh I know it's fine. I never thought you were. I think you are doing an admirable job of providing people with a general picture without stating specifics. I get what you're trying to say. Now you've just opened a big can of worms. You forgot the stud shooter though as @LurkingEhlek says.
  21. I can't say I thought it was going to be any of those things; you've made it quite clear that we should keep our expectations grounded and honestly, with what we've seen in the past couple of years, I've learnt to do that with this theme pretty quickly. I think I'm just excited by the prospect of some time without sequel trilogy sets dominating.
  22. Remind me, what exactly about this wave is supposedly meant to be bad? This all sounds very cool to me.
  23. We don't know yet. We only know the set numbers and one is supposedly going to cost $99.99
  24. That's an interesting analysis. Whilst there was certainly a lot of wishlisting about it last year, it feels like the Durmstrang Ship has been largely forgotten about at the moment, probably largely because of the idea that the sets this year will focus on OOP or HBP. And you could well be right; I would say that the ship appears so briefly in the movie that you wouldn't think that Lego would turn it into a set, but the fact that they made the Beauxbaton carriage negates that argument. The only other thing is, I don't think there are enough vehicles to sustain the structure you've laid out so I suspect this year may be the one that breaks that mould and we don't get any 'vehicles' as such.
  25. I love how diplomatically you've tried to sum this up. Definitely. The Bantha looks really good I think.
