  1. So I got an email this morning from Lego announcing sets that are retiring soon. What I found interesting is that the Whomping Willow set is not on the list, so it seems Lego are not planning on retiring the set just yet and might have two sets with two different versions of the Ford Anglia at the same time. I can only think that it is a testament to the theme's popularity and sales that they would do this. :)
  2. I'd get the Knight Bus. It's very cute and really well proportioned. I'm a completionist so I would have it whatever, but I'm hoping it displays well with DA too. Still it looks cool on it's own and the swinging shrunken head is a nice touch.
  3. Can't find any of the others - can you? I'm not sure if there is any point in preordering though - normally I'd say preorder from Amazon and you may get them shipped for release date, but at the moment items such as Lego are taking longer to ship anyway. Of course there is the preorder price guarantee in case the price does go down temporarily between now and release date although I doubt they will. As for preordering from Lego, preordering really does seem pointless unless a set is expected to sell out extremely fast because: 1) They don't ship for release date anyway. 2) Last year, those who preordered missed out on the polybag that was revealed as a GWP on the sets' release date. So those who preordered didn't get their sets shipped any sooner or get the promo for their 'loyalty'. I can see that Harry, Hedwig and table polybag being a GWP this year and again the same thing happening. Yes if you contacted Customer Services some people got the polybag added to their order, but that is a lot of hassle and I got the 'we'll do it just this once' line. So although Customer Services are always helpful, it is time consuming and not guaranteed. Well nothing has been confirmed about them being in DA so your guess is as good as anybodies, but if you are thinking along the same lines as me, I really can't see WWW being a part of the set and Fred and George not being included.
  4. I can now find Hedwig and ROR for preorder on Amazon UK for June 1st.
  5. I'd say it's the fact that the W Molly is knitting looks very much like a Weasley's Wizard Wheezes logo to me. :)
  6. They are on the Lego S@H item pages, but no Privet Drive blueprints there either.
  7. Even though they always swamp the castle sections themselves and are totally out of proportion, I always think it looks great and so dynamic when people place the Horntail on the roof. My compliments @Guyon2002 it looks very cool.
  8. Well the Rise of Voldermort set came with Voldy, Harry, Pettigrew and a Death Eater (not to mention baby Voldy) so I think a Ministry Battle set could easily include 4 minifigures too - I'd say Voldy, Harry, Dumbledore and going on Kingnono's hint maybe Fudge?
  9. So Kingnono said you will need around 960 € for this wave including the Magical Treasury. So Privet Drive = 70 € The Burrow = 100 € Astronomy Tower = 100 € Forbidden Forest = 30 € Room Of Requirement = 20 € Hedwig = 40 € CMF = 80 € Advent Calendar = 30 € 2 x Brickheadz = 40 €? Polybag = 5 € Magical Treasury Book = 20 € Diagon Alley = 400 € So that to me means that the unknown set must cost 25 € approx. Going on that, I'd say it must be a Ministry set.
  10. Yep he's always seemed more tan to me, so a new version in tan but with the non-CW printing is a welcome update to me.
  11. I love the Burrow! Are those window panes printed or stickers? What do people think? I'm guessing stickers like the mermaid in the CT. Stunning detail though.
  12. Just noticed: Lavender has no skirt piece. :(
  13. So when I stop thinking of the sets for five minutes they're revealed!
  14. Oh I know I wasn't commenting specifically at you. :) I understand what you mean. It is possible, but there are a few things that would suggest this is not going to happen in my opinion: 1) As this wave is mostly based on OOTP and HBP it would seem strange not to have a Ministry set as that is such a huge part of the ending of OOTP. 2) Like as @AdriWho says, I think people would feel a bit cheated if they spent so much on DA and then had to add to it. 3) Adding in an underground level to Gringotts would then mean that some of DA could not connect as Gringotts would be working on different levels to the rest of the shops if the sets were placed on display.
  15. The 'track' reference may not be a hint anyway as @Lego-Freak says, but even if it is, it doesn't discredit the set being Ministry based. The Underground has track after all.
  16. 'He's back' was another kingnono hint so I'm guessing it's MOM based.
  17. New hint from kingnono: Now back in track: 75978 and Diagon Alley are not the same set. So I'd guess we are getting a Ministry battle set.
  18. Hello and welcome back. The owl mould with spread wings has been known about for a while and it is known that it will come in the already officially revealed HP polybag this year https://brickset.com/sets/30420-1/Harry-Potter-and-Hedwig
  19. That is a very good point.
  20. A potential Sirius torso has leaked. Think it confirms that Sirius may be in a MOM set.
  21. The Astronomy Tower is definitely a great piece of architecture. I suppose I'm not as exited for that (which means just slightly less looking forward too lol) because it won't be as colourful and it is hard to picture how Lego are going to do it. I can picture DA and The Burrow more easily. Displaying minifigures with the sets and recreating scenes is also easier with the non-castle sections and I love doing that. I am also super excited for the CMF. I love that Fawkes and Myrtle's expression looks fantastic. Finally getting a Sprout minifigure is also great and I just keep picturing Neville falling backwards and getting attacked by the Monster Book Of Monsters every time I see that figure. ?
  22. Living in the UK I have never been to the Wizarding World in Orlando but I'd love to go. I have visited the London studio tour but as it is inside the vibrancy and bustling packed nature of the outdoor space are a bit lost. Like you though just thinking of the location feels magical. I think the Ukranian Iron Belly perched on top of Gringotts would look great on display. :) So am I - I'm picturing lots of purples, oranges, trans green fire, owls, cats ... Just lots of colour and activity. A bit like me then! The Burrow and DA at the top, but basically excited for everything.
  23. I'm looking forward to the Privet Drive set and will definitely be getting it, I've just seen a lot of people on here say they aren't interested or will just Bricklink the Dursley's. I had the original Privet Drive so there's nostalgia there, but I also love recreating all the scenes for display anyway. :)
  24. Well for some little plastic blocks, this discussion just got very deep. ? Thanks for the explanation. A rather fitting comparison for the MOM and The Department Of Mysteries. Okay from the sets we do know exist, what are people looking most forward to? I have to say I'm really exited for Diagon Alley and The Burrow having missed out on them last time. I find the inclusion of another Ford Anglia in the Privet Drive set baffling frankly; it seems to me from the discussion on here that this is one a lot of people are going to pass on and for general consumers who have already got the WW set, the higher price of Privet Drive because the car is again included might also put them off buying it. I would have thought Hagrid's motorbike a more sensible inclusion if a vehicle was needed with the house for play purposes; it can be used to recreate scenes both from PS and OOP after all and I'm sure kids love a flying motorbike. Those pieces are gorgeous. I'm sure they'll crop up in Diagon Alley, The Burrow and more in the future. ?
