I love the shot on the video with the camera zooming in between. Is there a photo with them shown opposite? Could HP-4 not be the Hagrid and Buckbeak Brickheadz? I know there's a pricetag attached, but promos often do now.

I don't think it's going to be a normal set, but a polybag. That was the rumour a while back and the number sounds like a polybag number. ?

I don't think so because the cup is found in the Lestrange vault and destroyed in the Chamber Of Secrets. It's the diadem they find and destroy in the Room Of Requirement.

I always thought the gold cup was meant to represent the Goblet of Fire and the Silver cup with the trans blue stud the Triwizard Cup.

For me, the problem with QQS is not the colour, but the fact that the top windows are not in the same style as the bottom windows. And although the shop's top windows are represented differently between parks with different colours, they are still in the same style as the bottom windows. Personally I would have liked the top windows to have the same sticker effect so that the panels look the same; the chosen design creates a disjointedness between levels and makes the top level look less quaint and more boxy. Then add to that the fact that WWW is missing a whole level and does not tower above the rest of the buildings and it makes QQS look even more inflated. I have to admit that I was really looking forward to WWW, but the missing level does make it look rather stunted.

The thing is, the pink of the building in the screenshot of the video with the Phelps brothers doesn't look half as dark as that render makes it look. I'm thinking that in reality it will be Hagrid's umbrella colour which I don't mind.

There just has to be a contrast of lighter and darker between the colour of plates that make up the code I think. Oliver used a green baseplate, but James had a grey or tan.

Exactly. You really do have to wonder about Lego's marketing sometimes. When Recognised Fan Media (i.e. Brickset) are also disallowing and deleting comments about the set that make any reference to the leaks it just shows how crazy the situation is.

Me too. If I imagine I'm an casual consumer who has heard nothing about DA before now I don't think I would think anything of the reveal to release timing as such. This would be the first inkling I would have got of a new set coming and a teaser and then a few days wait wouldn't seem out of the ordinary or a bad idea for the full reveal. So okay so far. BUT I would still be perplexed by the ambiguous wording of the tease (is the countdown to reveal or release?) and the fact that there are dead links. Why not put the QR building instructions up now and then tell people to come back after the countdown and then the link to the video will be available? Would make things a whole lot clearer. So to me the reveal is messy at best. But of course to those of us who have been following the leaks it just feels even more strange because we know of how Lego has messed up with other reveals lately, such as the CMF, and so this one seems incredibly drawn out and asking for trouble when we also know that having everyone cram onto the Lego website is going to make it clunky or crash just when people are about to want to purchase the set.

All the wording to me on both the Lego webpage and the email they have sent out suggests that the countdown is until the QR code works and VIPs get to see a video with James and Oliver Phelps looking at DA and asking the set designers questions, which are obviously the ones chosen from that VIP questions link. After that I presume it will mean DA will be released the next day. Will VIPs get a period of exclusivity and then the wider release will be later in September? Who knows. But I can see there being a real scramble for the set, especially as more people will be ordering online at the moment when before they may have gone down to a Lego store on opening.
