In case anybody in the UK is interested, The Burrow has just come back in stock on Lego's website and you can still get a free Brickheadz if you spend another £10.01 at the same time. I've had the page bookmarked for days and have been checking a lot and it finally came back in stock this afternoon just in time before the promo ends. Edit: Gone again. -

Well as we weren't expecting a Winter wave then right now this stuff feels like a bonus. On the other hand, would I have rather have had four small sets like Expecto Patronum than these books? Absolutely. I will only get these for the minifigures and whilst I can absolutely see why as a business Lego would want to release these books and the crest mosaics, one thing I loved about the theme so far was that apart from the Hogwarts Castle and Hedwig I instantly wanted every set and every build. Up until now there's been no getting sets and selling off the builds or just buying figures separately and when that starts to happen a theme, excuse the pun, loses it's 'magic' slightly for me. That being said, as long as the summer wave(s) continue as they have been and stay strong then I will just look at these sets as a 'side' wave and hopefully pick them up on discount for the figures. -

Oh no what a shame. I'll never forget my mum introducing me to SW as a 9 year old and just getting sucked in immediately. There would be such a big gap in my life without SW it's sad that some kids now may have been put off so drastically. -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I’m mixed about the 2021 rumours. There is the argument that Lego sets could keep getting more detailed and there has to be a limit placed on detail so prices don’t keep going up and becoming completely unaffordable for not only children, but even AFOLS at some point. Now some might say that the prices for such sets as Ties and X-Wings had already become ridiculous and there prices needed to be scaled back slightly and if Lego has achieved this and kept a reasonable level of detail then this is a good move. And if the models still represent the source material well enough, then the average customer will probably be totally satisfied by both the looks of the models and the price. Of course, if Lego continues with this plan there is no guarantee that the Price Per Piece count for these models will stay reasonable even if the models are smaller, but for now they look pretty good apart from the Imperial Shuttle, but as we don’t know the minfigure count I won’t pass judgement yet. The problem I think will come mainly for us AFOLS. A lot of people have said many times when sets, especially Ties and X-Wings, that the prices are getting ridiculous and for some models they would be prepared to sacrifice some detail for lower prices. But the trouble is, in the past few years models have been as detailed as they have ever been, so I think it will still be an initial shock to the system to see such iconic vehicles suddenly ‘downscaled’ so to speak, especially when we have seen so many X-Wings in the past few years you can hardly fail to compare them. Then there’s the fact that, whilst I know there are a lot of people who like the Sequel trilogy and even those who don’t have still appreciated some of the models from that saga in the last few years, I think a lot of people were glad that the films had come to an end for now so Lego could return to paying some decent attention to the original and prequel trilogy. I know that I for one look at 2012-2014 as a ‘golden era’ for Star Wars sets and as someone who came out of their dark age in 2015 and missed a lot of these I was very much looking forward to Lego reapplying that quality of builds and figures to the OT, and especially the PT, again. But instead, Mos Eisley Cantina aside, and just looking at the main wave, on paper we have the end of the sequel sets yes, but then no prequel sets and a rather dull and downgraded handful of OT system sets. So for me, it feels like in the last six years, we have a Lego Star Wars golden era, then the Sequel trilogy era came along and whether it’s because of the source material or the fact that prices have gone a bit wild or, most probably, a combination of both, the theme seems to have started to struggle a little bit, prompting Lego to change their set strategy and effectively ‘reboot’ the theme with lower prices and classic iconic vehicles to try and recapture the market. A understandable, but rather disappointing move for most AFOLs I think. So overall if the models are decent enough, I think the wave could be a good move for the casual consumer and AFOLs’ wallets, but a disappointment to many AFOLs’ hearts. -

Just thought, if this idea is repeated in 2022 then I'd really hope we get Lockhart's classroom with a pixie. -

I mean it's possible, but I don't personally think it's going to happen. I get the feeling that maybe Lego knows it's on to a good thing, but it's best not to over-saturate the market with sets like it has perhaps done with Star Wars. I'm still wondering if the HP-4 code was for the Hagrid and Buckbeak Brickheadz. That was sold in the Lego store in Australia for $30 which I believe is the price that was associated with that rumoured code. -

Sweatshirt then. Either way it's pretty close. Yes there's a little hood print on the back, but the front is near enough the same. -

Started rewatching DH part 1 last night and gained a lot more love for the Harry variant included in The Burrow and Forest sets. I previously hated it as not only was it a reused Jurrasic World torso, but it didn't match with those sets' scenes either. However, I realised last night that it's actually a pretty good representation of what he is wearing for the Battle of the Seven Potters, so it is accurate to The Burrow just not that HBP scene with the Death Eaters. -

Except as much as I would like to agree with you being a huge PT fan and rooting for a MBS Petranaki Arena, it does achieve something that the 2014 set didn't other than the figures. The reason the cantina has got sets over the years is precisely because the scenes inside it with Luke, Han and Greedo; they may be fleeting, but they are iconic. And every time a Mos Eisley cantina has been released in the last few years there have been a good few comments from people disappointed that it did not include a full bar, more booths, fully enclosed cantina etc never mind more alien minifigures or the Imperial Spy, Ponda Baba or Dr Evazan. This set realises all of those wishes. Now you could argue this is just the voice of a small minority of AFOLS, but I'm pretty sure there are a lot more customers out there who don't frequent this forum or even follow the Lego world online who would wish for the same. I know some would say you could just buy multiple smaller cantina sets and mod them into a bigger cantina if that's what you want, but for those of us who don't MOC that is not a desirable prospect, not to mention that if you follow that line of thinking you could effectively say MBS sets don't need to exist at all and people could just mod the larger scenes from smaller sets. So this set not only improves upon playability, but displayability of an iconic location and scene greatly and as much as other scenes may be more wished for by some, that doesn't make Mos Eisley unworthy of the MBS treatment in my opinion. -

Just a note in case anyone is interested. The picture for the AC makes the flame on the Goblet of Fire build look like it's a new trans clear with glitter flame, but it's actually just the trans blue glitter flame. Very misleading picture. -

Advent calendars don't make Christmas for me. Without getting to deep, that's not what it's all about really. So open it now or wait, it really makes no difference to me. -

On an interesting note, all the figures in the calendar come with two wand sprues. Sure this wasn't the case last year. So unless I'm missing something, every figure gets three extra wands. -

I completed my CMF today. I only needed Neville and Sprout and found them in Tesco. They had one box and it didn't look like many had been bought yet. Was very wary of getting told off for feeling bags so after feeling three bags and no luck just decided to go straight for the back of the box and found Sprout and then Neville straight away right at the back of the left and middle row. Hands sanitised before and after obviously. -

I'm not sure Lego are going to cover Malfoy Manor for a few reasons. 1) I know this is just a concept sketch, but the similarity between say this and the Room of Requirement set is quite clear - basically a set of minifigures with a wall section and fireplace - and I'm not sure what else Lego could do for the scene on a small scale. 2) I think a lot of us were expecting a Ministry battle set this year - I was thinking a small £20 set with some shelves of prophecies maybe and an exploding action feature - but this, for me at least, very memorable part of OOTP was skipped over. Now I know they only have so many set places to fill and we can't get everything, but it seems to me like Lego is trying to stay away from the outright battle scenes where possible. The Rise Of Voldermort is an exception to this I think only because it is such an iconic moment you can hardly ignore it. Even then Cedric was in the CMF and not in the set so it focused more on the battle rather than death. 3) A Malfoy Manor set would arguably need to include Bellatrix and either Lego will really surprise me and include her in a small set or they will want to keep her exclusive to The Burrow for now. I understand where you're coming from. Karkaroff does feel slightly sidelined to Maxime in the movies I think both because Hagrid likes Maxime and because a scene with Karkaroff and Snape highlighting more of his death eater past was also deleted. In the books I think the roles are a bit more even. -

As much as I want all the characters, I agree that some feel more pressing to make the lineup feel more 'complete'. I would though add Karkaroff to your list. To use emoticons, click on the smiley face at the top of the text box and you should get a box open with some more emoticon options. -

No I'm guessing we'll get a similar set up to this year and get a castle section and another large building like The Burrow, probably Gringotts.
