  1. Do I want DH sets? Yes absolutely as I have never owned any and hardly any were ever made anyway. But I don't mind waiting for them. I'm pretty much happy with anything we get so long as the standard of sets remains as good as it started out as and so long as Lego does cover all the films in the end.
  2. I thought they'd put the Thestrals into a OOTP forest set, especially considering they had retired the carriage by then, but they went with Grawp instead. Can't say I'm sorry about that, but I'd be surprised if they didn't use that mould again. It would seem like a waste not to.
  3. I think so, although I could be totally wrong. I remember when the AT was revealed everybody was super confused why they introduced sand green into the roof. This is a logical explanation.
  4. They were going to retire the Great Hall and Whomping Willow last year though and then changed their mind seemingly due to demand so they were not intended to be on shelves at the same time as this new set. And I know the info suggests that the new castle is not meant to connect with the current modules, but it still makes more sense to me that it will be compatible and they made the Astronomy Tower roof have some green in it so it could work as a connection to either the current modules or this new castle set.
  5. Yes but a completely different version so they look nothing alike.
  6. Sinistra isn't so hopefully not.
  7. Transfiguration or Charms. McGonagall is a fantastic figure, but if you want a new teacher then Charms has Flitwick, although his legs annoy me because if they were olive green it would have given the illusion of his robes.
  8. If only there was a rule that only real leakers can take their photos with potatoes it would make our guessing a lot easier.
  9. Only a tirade of thoughts and opinions.
  10. Would love to see one with Lockhart and a cornish pixie if they don't show up in another set. Would be a great way to get that scene into a set.
  11. I don't think it is up to anyone to decide why someone else should buy a Lego set: for the builds, the minifigures, or to keep sealed in a box. You can buy it for your own reason and there is no right or wrong. So why would some people feel cheated that a figure shows up in a cheap set after being exclusive to an expensive set? I think the answer stems from Lego's own practices. I think we can all agree that Lego had made a habit of including one or two exclusive figures in expensive licensed sets as a marketing technique to get more people to spend on larger sets. In the past, these figures would then stay exclusive and fans knew it they wanted the figures they had to spend the money. Lego themselves set a precedent. However, lately, and especially apparent in the HP line, figures are being reused in cheaper sets after first appearing in expensive sets. Why? Call me cynical, but I think from Lego's perspective it's largely to cut costs; yes it gives those with a lesser budget the chance to get figures they couldn't have otherwise, but Lego is a business after all so I don't think they are doing it to be overly generous. This change in practice therefore comes across to me as motivated by profit, for it appears that when it suited them to provide exclusives for marketing purposes they did so, but now it suits them more to reuse figures. If people start to know that most figures in expensive sets will show up in cheaper sets, then they can make an informed decision on whether they want to wait. Do I agree with this change in practice? In essence yes because it allows people to get most figures at cheaper prices in the end, although of course I would rather some figures stayed exclusive if it meant that new figures were included in other sets instead of repeats. I don't agree with the cost cutting motivation that would appear to be behind it, but it does teach a better method in the end; patience and not money. I hope so. I always remember them being in robes when they take the potion.
  12. Ah yes now I remember. Funny that they wouldn't reuse the robes they have just printed, but I'm sure they will pop up somewhere along the line.
  13. I thought you meant Lucius Malfoy. I think @Guyon2002 mentioned that Draco's torso might be in the new bathroom set. Or am I remembering wrong?
  14. I don't think he does, just that some images make the torso look like it has red on and some don't.
  15. I have literally taken out the hanging rail in my wardrobe and put shelves in to put my sets on instead. I have more HP Lego in my wardrobe than clothes. Even so I am running out of space.
  16. She supposedly has a part in Deathly Hallows Part 2. At around 41 minutes in to the film, as the students and teachers leave the Great Hall, there's an actress who bears a striking similarity to the unknown actress who plays Sinistra in Philosopher's Stone. It's a blink and you'll miss it cameo, but I've no doubt it's meant to be Sinistra. She appears more in the books though, namely as one of the teachers who helps carry away the petrified Justin. Her appearance in this set with Justin then just shows how deep into the books we are getting now which is just great from a fan perspective. She also dances with Mad Eye at the Yule Ball in the books so now he can have a partner on the dance floor.
  17. Ah okay I see. Hopefully the photo will pop up again. Not personally a fan of that face as one side has always looked rather sinister to me, almost like an evil smirk. Certainly has never felt right for the gentle Helga or Molly. Anyone else agree?
  18. I didn't see the photo, but if it's Helga's torso with Molly Weasley's head was it even a leak or just someone's custom?
  19. Very difficult with this theme when everything is so good!
  20. For which we are all truly grateful. Just out of interest, do you like having these sources or would you rather you found out everything fresh with everybody else? Hard task master.
  21. How many sources do you have! Any year where you get a moulded Basilisk head and tail and head moulds for a three headed dog must let them off a little surely.
  22. If you ever played the old Philosopher's Stone pc game she was terrifying! Her stalking amongst the library shelves trying to catch Harry under his cloak is a distinct memory from my childhood. Definitely noteworthy.
  23. I'm not saying I like the choice aesthetically just that if Lego knew that this set was coming then using some green roof pieces last year may have been their method of transitioning between the 2018-2019 castle sections and this new castle set, so that those of us who own the 'older' sections can combine them with the Astronomy Tower and yet the Astronomy Tower could also be combined with the newer set. They were meant to be retiring the Great Hall and Whomping Willow after all.
  24. Except it would make the green roof pieces in the Astronomy Tower make a bit more sense. Still Promobricks suggests this new Castle set is not to be joined with the old one so ...
