  1. From what I've heard, there had to be a build element to their product if they were going to sell it. Hence why 20th anniversary Obi-Wan poly could be sold because it had a buildable stand, but other individual figure polybags have been GWPs.
  2. I mean I don't normally read much into them, but I just find it strange that with this one, Ron's outfit is the only 'made up' thing. Which is why it has me questioning if it is 'made up'. Otherwise it just annoys me that a kids' activities book can have DH references despite the comments about it not really fitting their brand.
  3. So I've just got the Official 2022 yearbook with Lucius minifigure and what I found really interesting / totally ironic, is that one of the activities in the book is a 'find the right path' game to help Ron, Hermione and Harry reach Bellatrix's vault. The accompanying picture also shows the Harry minifigure in the Grawp and The Burrow sets, Hermione's AT head and hair combo on Bellatrix's body, but Ron gets a new outfit. Now I'm not sure if the outfit is made of parts from another theme, but I don't recognise it. That being said: 1) Why include this DH reference considering the comments about it not fitting with their branding so well? It could have just been help Harry find his own Gringotts vault ... And 2) Considering that all other characters pictured in the book are either from current sets / CMFs, one from an old set (Narcissa Malfoy), or they are just students pictured in the generic Hogwarts uniforms, could Ron's outfit and the inclusion of this puzzle suggest a Gringotts is coming in 2022, seeing as this is the 2022 yearbook? It could just be that they needed a picture of Ron in DH Gringotts attire to go with the puzzle, but like I said I find it a totally ironic decision if so. Interested to see what you all think and if anyone with the book recognises that torso from anywhere else.
  4. Rey and Dark Rey, or Rey and Kylo on the Death Star ruins?
  5. It could be an error, but Promobricks has three of the Moments books on its recent end of year EOL list; the Potions book is now on the list too. So that would leave just the Transfiguration book. Thought I'd mention it in case anyone still wants that one and thought they had more time.
  6. I think you're on to something there. I'm surprised we're not getting a baby Wampa *cough* ewok.
  7. The chess set was a Lego shop exclusive for the UK at first, but it has now become available, in I think about the last month, as an exclusive at the department chain John Lewis. Fawkes has always been available at the Lego shop and exclusive to Argos in the UK since release. Since the supermarket Sainsburys and Argos are the same company, Fawkes can also be found on Sainsburys' shelves. I can't comment on the chess set as I don't go into John Lewis, but my local Sainsburys does seem to sell the Fawkes pretty quickly.
  8. In the advent calendar.
  9. Ah thank you. Sounds like an appropriate colour.
  10. Is this a guess or do you know it will be black? Black would be cool, but Promobricks didn't say as far as I can find.
  11. I know, but I think people thought they might reuse those pieces anyway.
  12. Yeah like I said, it's not just the fact that they chose a 'dark scene' featuring a killing curse, but from the general chatter on this forum Moody's DADA it's not the most memorable DADA scene either. People were expecting Lockhart and pixies or Lupin and Boggart. Add that to the fact that the Moments seemed to be aimed at the younger audience, choosing a scene which focuses on torturing and killing a spider rather than say, conquering pixies or 'fear' seems questionable and how this translates to any more memorable or marketable than a DH set I don't know.
  13. Probably Helga Hufflepuff's
  14. I doubt it. The Clocktower was a part of POA and it helps visualise the time turning aspect. A clock on the outside of the building will help to create a 'play feature' for an otherwise quite basic castle section.
  15. I hope one of the 'sweets' is a Skele gro bottle even if that was from COS.
  16. I'm glad we get a Pomfrey although we are clearly recreating the castle again when the old Clock Tower is still on the market so that just seems like a recipe for consumer confusion.
  17. I love it. DH is too dark or not as memorable, but the first thing that sprung to most peoples' mind when they think DADA book was Lockhart and Pixies or Lupin and Boggart ... So Lego do the darker, clearly less memorable Moody unforgivable curses scene.
  18. That's great, as it seemed like this month was short on promos. It felt odd buying the Icons set for instance without a HP promo. Annoyed that I literally just bought the MBM though. I heard the Sailboat might be coming back too, so it feels like they are using up old stock instead of creating new promos and focusing their supply chain on making new sets.
  19. All of those I should think.
  20. Haha thank you. I am apparently not destined to get a Maxime or Picquery. I can see me resorting to Bricklink.
  21. Got my advent calendar today. Two frog cards needed, two duplicates inside .
  22. I think what this whole discussion highlights is that Lego has never definitively covered the HP movies. Now at first that was understandable, considering that both Lego HP and even the HP brand in general were in their infancy so to speak. It feels strange to think now, but when the previous HP wave was released the films were just coming to an end. The books had obviously been around for a lot longer, but the films were fresher. Now, on the other hand, even the final film has been around for a decade, and the HP brand is cemented in the modern era with memorabilia often focusing on the later films and the darker Horcruxes etc just as much as the earlier films. Even Lego themselves is shouting out on their packaging that Lego HP has been around for 20 years. That's two whole decades. And even though Lego hasn't been producing sets for all that time, the gap between 2011 - 2018 provided a window for the not only the HP brand to grow and the later part of the story become more known, but also for Lego themselves to reflect on the franchise and not just ride the movie hype train, but to see and work with the bigger picture and franchise as a whole. So considering all of that, there really does seem to be no reason why this wave should not be more definitive in it's coverage of the entire franchise and it would be a huge shame if it eventually doesn't.
  23. I don't blame you for a second. I'm going to wait and see what the AC gives me and then I'll likely do the same. I've no idea where the polybag is/will be available in the UK, but as I don't have any Lego or toy stores near me that's a dud for me too unless it's at a supermarket. The D2C is obviously too much of a premium product to be involved in such randomness.
  24. I've not completed mine yet as I still need Maxime and Picquery. @BrickBob Studpants has a full collection, but he cheated and bought the ones he needed. The tiles are meant to be totally random, but I can confirm that Helga Hufflepuff will be in any set I buy.
