  1. So when do we think we will get news of the rest of this year's sets? As far as I can tell we still know nothing of: 43223 Disney Animation 6 $19.99 43224 Disney Animation 7 $99.99 43230 Disney Animation 5 $119.99 43231 Disney Animation 11 $49.99 43232 Disney Animation 6 $59.99 I'm hoping for more sets in the style of the UP house. Displayable builds that give us some of the minifigures, princesses and princes that are so glaringly missing from this year's line up.
  2. Then that's fine for you. It was the same with the grey or green roof argument: some people didn't mind mixing and some hated the change. It that instance though it was at least a straight swap one year to the next, but here I just don't understand why they have such product inconsistencies in the same year.
  3. I care because it shows a lack of consistency and makes the waves look messy. That doesn't inspire me as a collector and I know of others who find it the same. That in turn hurts the theme.
  4. And yet again the inconsistency with the minifigures astounds me, Somehow Harry had time for a trouser change between his encounter with Draco in the Room of Hidden Things and his fight with Voldemort. Sure, the darker more subtle colour looks better for jeans, but why is there this inconsistency between products released within a few months of each other! And I'm not buying that they are meant to be the dirty version of his jeans. No Hogsmeade set, just POA Hogsmeade versions of Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco + Aberforth in the advent calendar,
  5. That's what I thought when I saw it originally. That and it felt like the Disney version of the Hogwarts Icons set. Two big differences here though are the fact that this could be used more practically and the minifigures included aren't just gold versions of existing characters. Not that Hogwarts Icons isn't a great set for what it is, but it's expensive if you want 'normal' minifigures and it takes up a lot of space with Hedwig's wingspan. If they did a Heroes set to counter this one I'm sure people would go mad for it and a lot of people would buy both sets with the express intention of using them as some sort of bookends. And I love the little toothy smile for the Evil Witch.
  6. I won't be getting this one, but kudos to the designers for creating him in this scale and not producing something totally creepy. He's actually really cute. The studs representing the knobbly knees are adorable. 😍
  7. Buildable Dobby with diary and cake/sock mini builds Buildable Patronis (can either build Harry's stag or Lupin's wolf). Supposedly comes with Harry and Lupin minifigures. Hogwarts Express with Hogsmeade Station Quidditch Trunk (minifigures supposedly include Harry, Draco, Cedric and Cho) Battle of Hogwarts castle section (minifigures supposedly include Harry, Voldemort, Neville, McGonagall, Scabior, Bellatrix and Molly) Weasley's Wizard Wheezes Gringotts Microscale Hogwarts So it's a bit of a mixture: Dobby is Chamber of Secrets; Patronus is Prisoner of Azkaban; Hogwarts Express looks to be Philosopher's Stone in terms of the station, but no idea what minifigures are included inside the train so it's might be a bit of a mix; Quidditch Trunk again might be considered a range from Philosopher's Stone - Goblet of Fire depending on the Harry included; WWW is Half Blood Prince; Battle of Hogwarts is Deathly Hallows; Gringotts could be Philosopher's Stone based or Deathly Hallows or a mix, but we don't know yet; and the Microscale Hogwarts supposedly has builds of aspects from all the films e.g. Quidditch Pitch, Beauxbaton's Carriage etc.
  8. I'm glad this new WWW looks a lot simpler, the face and the window sections being shrunk being the most obvious standouts without knowing what the inside looks like. Makes my DA still feel like it holds value. I can't say I have any interest in the owl post section and honestly didn't even know it existed in a particular format as never been to the theme park. I think Lego fully intends this to be a set for those who can't afford DA and then a parts and minifigures pack to those who do, and I'm sure it will sell what with the bright colours etc, although the comments I've seen on another website people haven't been too impressed notably feeling it looks like a cheap copy. Cannot fault Lego's train of thought with this one if it is as I suspect. I almost feel now that a lot of the material from the films has been covered (Durmstrang Ship and Karkaroff / Lovegood House being two notable exceptions to me), Lego will be just keeping this theme ticking along for the next three to four years until the new series makes an appearance after which if they still have the license I would think there would then be a switch to making sets from that material.
  9. I mean I wouldn't mind if it was. If everything becomes super specialised then Lego will stop feeling like Lego eventually and Pygmy Puffs are basically round balls of fluff so a printed technic ball would be fine to me.
  10. Only the minifigures. I probably won't care for the castle even though I don't have the original.
  11. Personally I don't want the castle build. I'm sure it will look spectacular, but I just haven't got space for it and so I hope Mickey and Minnie aren't in there so that if I feel like it is better to buy the castle rather than the individual minifigures then every minifigure is one I want. Mickey and Minnie are in a lot of other sets now for those who want them after all. That being said, I get their status within the brand so I would understand if they are. I would love a Rapunzel and Eugene as well as Merida. Would also love to see Kristoff somewhere to go along with Elsa and Anna from the CMF. Tangled, Frozen and Brave are highlights from the past (just over a) decade to me, whilst I grew up on Pocahontas, Mulan, 101 Dalmations, Jungle Book, Lion King, Toy Story, Peter Pan, A Bug's Life etc. This year's CMF has given me some childhood favourites (when I can get hold of them), and I love the new Tinker Bell, though if one of the sets is Peter Pan themed with Wendy and the Lost Boys (and if I was being super greedy then Nana) I would be ecstatic. Would also love Rapunzel's tower both if Rapunzel isn't in the castle and because a more detailed one would be a great display piece.
  12. For me if we're also including Pixar, which we clearly are with the UP house and the WALL-E Brickheadz, then some Monsters INC would be appreciated. Like Lion King, Jungle Book etc from the classic animation I know this might be a bit harder to do with all the creatures. A Bug's Life was also a childhood favourite of mine, but I'm honestly not sure what set could really be made with that and understand that the source material really doesn't translate well into Lego form. Whilst it was never one I really watched, I feel like Ratatouille often pops up on Lego Ideas.
  13. I've got my Up house coming tomorrow. So excited! And now I can't wait to find out what the remaining sets are. I would love to see some more Peter Pan, Tangled, Brave sets etc. This theme has stolen my excitement from Harry Potter this year.
  14. I'm sure they would sell really well and look beautiful. This is like what we saw with the potential Maleficent dragon set that was leaked from the survey and if that becomes a set then I can't think why there wouldn't be more.
  15. I really want a Merida minifigure. She is currently being produced as a minidoll and has just had a Brickheadz released with the Moana twin pack so I'm hoping thay bodes well for a minifigure this year.
  16. I would guess it won't be tied to a year exactly and just include Tom as the minifigure, by which I mean the later version of him. So that would be POA themed if anything. I would guess the main bulk of the minifigures would be to do with the WWW shop and the street itself - Fred, George, Lavender, maybe Narcissa, Fentir etc
  17. Which would make sense from the placement of the images. Also the interior of the tall building is facing in, like the magical interior is on the WWW Diagon Alley side and then they've got the exterior and the sign for the muggle London side. The thing with the Leaky Cauldron is that the interior isn't really that interesting, so all they really need is a table or two on the ground floor and a bed or two above and they've captured the essence of the inn, taking the focus away from the pub side. Yes it could have been sold separately and bigger, but this way, by taking inspiration from the American set up rather than the London studio tour, they would give fans a taste of what they want whilst providing those who can't afford DA with one of the brighter iconic buildings they know will probably sell well. Like you say it's also a good way to give us Tom. They're was also that tease of a Leaky cauldron sign in the 2021 advent the same time as we got those Gringotts objects do the timing would be fitting from that point. I could be wrong of course, but of all the DA buildings I'm guessing it's The Leaky Cauldron.
  18. What if the tall grey building is The Leaky Cauldron? I've never been, but I believe from what I can gather from images and videos that The Leaky Cauldron is near and connected to WWW in the Orlando Theme Park.
  19. Also the Quidditch player in the Quidditch set that I can see looks to have white legs and a cape and whilst this is my personal choice over the matching legs and no cape, I really wish Lego would keep consistency when it comes to minifigures, especially for things that are released in the same year because it A) makes things look inconsistent and messy and B) Makes minifigures like the Cho Chang from the polybag look like a clear cheap cop out. Yep. I've always wondered if Narcissa and Fenrir might make an appearance considering they are from scenes in which WWW is featured.
  20. What about Greyback too as he led the attack on Diagon Alley and it would be an easy reuse for Lego as he's not available in The Burrow set anymore? I know I personally have him displayed in my DA lurking in the Knockturn Alley entrance.
  21. I don't mind minifigure guessing either, but I think you need to make that very clear in a video that is promoted as 'news'. Some people will take it as fact and then be disappointed, or potentially excited, when it turns out to be wrong. I thought there was going to be more info than this to be honest and not sure why the secrecy, but that's their prerogative. Gringotts is what I'm waiting for and I know that we'll have to wait longer for info on that.
  22. I was going to say that a lot of this video has been made redundant by your information. There was also too much guessing at the minifigures for me to feel confident in any of those lineups. Even the GWP vault being the Lestrange vault is seemingly a guess so I think there is the potential here for guesses to start circulating as fact.
  23. I think what she means is, if you look at this picture, the light coming from the end of the wand looks like a contact lens. I can understand the confusion with the phrase 'eye contact', but I'm pretty sure this is what she means. So I'm picturing a trans blue / glitter piece in this form that clips onto the end of the wand.
  24. I can't comment on the validity of that suggestion, but if it is true, I would guess they mean there will be no more modular Hogwarts expansions in the current style and that there will be another 'soft reboot' and Hogwarts will come in some other form.
