  1. Totally :) It seems strange that Lego would stop producing Rebels sets so early, especially when they are still making Clone Wars sets. After all, both are now Disney canon and Filoni has intertwined the two so well. I understand how such a packed film schedule might limit their ability to continue producing Rebels sets after the show's end, but I would have thought that contractually they would have to make a set for current property, but clearly not. :(
  2. Searching the new Lego Elves sets and the new dark earth blue / trans green dragon wing used on Noctura's Tower is available and fairly cheap - £1.46. Thought some dragon MOCers may be interested. :) I must say, availability seems very random e.g. the bat in the Wind Dragon set can be bought, but none of the other bats can be purchased. All I can think is that it is a 'loss leader' of sorts to get you to pick up a bat cheap and want to collect them all thus making you pick up all the other sets.
  3. I too noticed this as I was never interested in Brickheadz until I saw Rey and Kylo who are just cute enough to get me interested and then hearing of the likes of Leia and Yoda coming soon. So then I thought I should probably pick up Phasma and Finn only to find that Phasma is Sold Out. Finn is still available but he is also listed as retiring soon. What was annoying was that they weren't showing as retiring soon until you clicked on them so I didn't realise they would be retiring so quickly - this has just changed so that it shows on the main search results. I could still pick up Finn, but as he never really caught my interest I probably won't bother now that I won't be able to get all the SW ones anyway. I don't think this is the case. Finn is also retiring soon, but it still available. Phasma is actually the one that has sold out.
  4. Numbers 39 and 40 are Han and Chewie from the Solo movie era.
  5. Yes I found that odd too; it seems strange that they would make a new piece for this year and then not use it to its full potential. The Basilisk also seems like a strange inclusion to me in a Great Hall set and a odd build; as someone who once owned the original Basilisk, this version looks stumpy and just plain. It seems like a set that tries to cover too many bases so that those who cannot afford the D2C can get a good minifigure range, but at the same time it won't provide much play value as it is too cramped. It's clearly meant to be an add on to the bigger D2C, but it won't leave those who cannot afford to pay £500+ with a very good play/ display piece. The first HP sets were by no means perfect, but they did provide more of a modular experience so that you could build your castle up or just have individual play scenes. That being said I am grateful that the HP line is being revived, it just feels a bit half hearted. Still it's hard to form an opinion without seeing the D2C, but I think it's fair to say that if this wasn't packed with minifigures there would not be much appeal. I think we now know why the set is so generous with its minifigure!
  6. I think that is meant to be their skull. From Wookieepedia: 'Their most striking feature, however, was their large and tapered skull, with an undersized face'.
  7. Yes I wasn't sure, hence the ?. The prelim pic was too blurry to make out. Thanks for the insight :)
  8. The leaked pics show 7; the four shown on Brickset plus a white droid, a red (what I think is a) droid, and a hooded? figure.
  9. Lol :) I think he's okay as a fig, at least it's nice to get another wookie variant. I know Chewie is younger in this movie, but the film itself doesn't seem to really acknowledge this in his look too much, but I suppose they had to make another figure if they were going to accurately depict his double ammo belt and they tried to age him down a bit at the same time.
  10. Hhm, I can't find this. I just saw that he said that there was a set he had never seen before and couldn't identify ...
  11. How do you know this if you don't mind me asking?
  12. The leaked Lego catalogue lists the Jedi battlepack and Yoda's Hut as coming out in April as originally stated.
  13. The signs certainly don't look good :( Either way though, I don't think the theme gets the credit or marketing it deserves. I was considering just getting the minidolls, bats and animals off ebay and Bricks and Pieces as what with the Harry Potter revival and the sheer number of Star Wars sets, not to mention the rumoured Cloud City and Hogwarts D2Cs, this year is going to be hard on the purse. But now I will probably just have to pick the sets up as this may be the last we see of Elves. Will have to wait for Lego to do double VIPs or something.
  14. The new Elves sets are going to be exclusive to Argos in the UK which is very annoying because Argos rarely offer significant discounts on sets and don't get me started on the box condition. When you would like to get all the sets because they are just so beautiful this means the whole wave is going to cost more or less RRP. Also, I hope this does not suggest a winding down of the Elves theme. I agree with previous comments that the marketing for Elves seems lacklustre and chaotic which really does the sets a disservice.
  15. The mynock wings from 75192 UCS Falcon are also now available if any wants to make some of the little critters. :)
  16. If a part is available in Pick a Brick then you are meant to order from there anyway I think. At least that's how I read it: 'Double-check that the parts you need aren't available through Pick A Brick. If the bricks are available on Pick A Brick you will need to order them from there.' Going to go check out some of those parts :)
  17. Yes I saw that on Zusammengebaut, but all I could really tell was that they thought it was a good model. So I take it that that confirms the rumour. No mention of the Transport Ship or V Torrent though and I wouldn't say it exactly confirms them because the Throne Room rumour was right as everybody was expecting a throne room set. Perhaps the only thing that makes the leaks more believable is that the right set number was attached to the Throne Room set.
  18. Yes this is called humour. And I am quite aware that his comment was sarcastic - hence the crying with laughter emoji. The video was clearly tongue in cheek - this video was clearly carefully scripted and Lego would not be foolish enough to let out spoilers they don't want. They obviously intended on 'beeping' out the words and letting people speculate.
  19. 'So we really wouldn't want to ruin the surprise for everyone.' Camera zoomed in ... He might as well have winked ?
  20. All pointless speculation really, but maybe the leaker saw a written list of the minifigures next to their numbers as they are on the minifigure leaflets, but Lego had not yet finalised the complete list, thus leaving gaps, or even the exact amount thus leaving two short.
  21. I'd say so because the costume series has an end date of 31/7/18 meaning that the next series should be August and it says August in the smaller print.
  22. I actually like Rebels and do find it bizarre, especially considering I would have thought that Lego would have an obligation to produce sets to tie in with Disney's current works. It kind of devalues the show not to by implying that it is not worthy. Of course, one of the grey sets could be a Rebels set that features spoilers from the end of Season 4 and is thus greyed out.
  23. I do agree with what your saying ... BUT people were saying the same things a few days ago about the 14 minifigures in the HP Great Hall set and yet that rumour now seems more solid. Could Lego now be using figures to justify higher prices for smaller builds? The piece count of these supposed sets is not included after all.
