[MOC] Self moc, Rezael - The shapeshifter
Mechbuilds replied to Mechbuilds's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Experimenting on the experimental "Strider" suit. So far the experiment has been a failure. The strider suit is too unstable for battle. -

UPDATE: Armor upgrade for close combat. -
I want those ball joint ball parts but without the axle piece, i want it to have a pin piece instead. The axle piece hole in the ball is not really sturdy. The axle will slide off when you play with the arm. Sure there are those flat end axles that go trough the ball but even those are just held on by one gear. Once you've used the ball joint once or twice, it'll slide off once you turn the figure sideways and the arm just drops off. If you made one figure as a statue that'll remain like it is, you could get away with just gluing it.

Thanks! Yeah i also liked the exo toa. It's sad that it didn't take off. I'd love to see lego's take on making a small bionicle line where they all get cool exo suits. (sold as XL figures) Yeah the figure is slightly smaller than the toa mata. It was made specifically for exo suits. That's why he looks kinda wonky with that one ball joint on the top of the body. There are updates coming for the exo suit. Once it's finished completely, i'm deconstructing it and making a "second generation" exo suit. Maybe the figure gets slightly bigger, who knows. The exo suit was built around this figure though. If anyone has questions or requests for instructions, i'm happy to help! -
Cool little design. The guns look great.

Can you post a pic of what you have? I can throw up something on the LDD

Hello there! I'm Rezael - The engineer. Hmm. I can sense enemies approaching. Better get on my exo suit. Power suit online. Weapons hot. Cluster grenade launcher active: Twin Chainsword active: Brutal overkill Enemy eliminated.

@Leewan I actually have the shoulder design irl. The "hordika neck" is held on by a blue pin/axle connector and the top part is also. The arms don't flop down like you'd think. The way the arms are configured, there is a pinching friction that keeps the arms in place, as long as you don't put two bionicles worth of weight on them. But a von nebula arm amount of mass won't flop down.

Leg design idea: Credit to Square and he's Qlenasy MOC.

Thanks man. Now i know how to build it. Ingenious idea. Simple and efficient.

As much as i hate mixing regular lego blocks with CCBS/Technic. This still was pretty awesome. The design on the legs look cool. Can we have a closer look?

Hey guys! Any ideas how to start building an arm from this shoulder? The arm needs to be bulky but short. It's coming on to a mech so guns.. I'm planing on adding a ball joint to that arm piece as short as i can possibly make it but still making it look cool. The arm needs to be connected to those two socket pieces. So basically: How do i attach a ball joint to that arm piece as short as possible and still get armor to it somehow. Any tips help a lot. Cause i'm stuck. EDIT: Okay i guess this is the shortest way to do it:

Thanks for all the replies. The gorzan torso was indeed helpful. I'm going to use that in the future.. But for now, i'm looking for something that i can connect to the 3 stud wide turntable piece. (HF IFB Evo XL lower body) Something warhammer 40k dreadnought style. ' We should have a tutorials pinned thread here. It would be helpful when you get stuck on your moc and don't know how to continue with it.
-
Why aren't there any any moc ideas posted? You have to search google very thoroughly in order to find stuff like this: I'd love to see peoples takes on how to build custom torsos or how to build custom limbs.. Or just outright clever ideas.. I'm currently stuck trying to figure out how to widen up a torso from the waist up in order to make a WH40K styled dreadnought torso.. If any of you have clever ideas you'd like to share, please post them below. Tips, ideas or frames like in the image is very helpful for newbie moccers.

The thing on hes back is actually a big brutal mallet. And he can seathe hes swords.

This is a fast 15 min build. What does eurobricks think? This oni has two katanas and a barrel on hes back. And a nice addition of a beer gut armor made out of a bohrok head armor piece.

That bow is actually pretty cool.

Connecting to the mechbuild lab.. .. . Connection established: "Hello mechbuild lab. We had massive success with the new experimental mech. We also to add a salvaged missile battery to the right side of the mech to help combat against those pesky fliers. We also found a mysterious large wreck in the junkyard but it kind of resembles a mech.. Should we get this thing shipped to the lab? Awaiting for your decision. " -Commandant Receiving transmission: "Hello commandant. We're thrilled that the experimental twin mech succeeded. The addition of the missile battery was a great addition. Please send us the unidentified wreck and we'll look into it commandant." -Mech build lab

Receiving transmission: "Commandant. We have recovered the secret data from the archive. The data was highly encrypted but after our best hacker decrypted it, we found out that it had highly sophisticated mech frame plans. We carried out the XTS-620 experimental mech frame to the test range and it pretty much passed all the test in record timing. This is one of the most destructive mech we have ever built. We call it "Twins". This "Twins" mech is piloted by two pilots working in perfect harmony with eachother. The left side is mounted with a highly destructive gauss ion cannon. It has enough power to pierce our experimental "Cocoon" armor. The weapon is still not fully tested so do not go over 70% power or you risk destroying the arm completely. On the left side, we have a high pressurized pyromite launcher that has 3 times the range of our standard pyromite launchers. Also for melee combat, the left arm is mounted with a large plasmite claw. There is enough power to crush a class 5 titan head like an egg. The legs are equipped with experimental dampening systems that allow the mech to jump down without any damage to the actuators. This mech requires highly trained pilots that can sync up in perfect harmony. We have sent you this experimental mech for a field test on real action. Be cautious." -Mech build lab

Receiving transmission: "Commandant. We have a solution to the invasion from the coast side. We would like you to try our latest weapon: the XT-G20. This combat walker is equipped with heavy lasers that will destroy the flying enemies with pinpoint accuracy. The lasers need a short time to ramp up but after charged, they can shoot down fliers from long distances. To keep swarming enemies on their toes, we added 8 long range missile pods to the shoulders that have flak tips. If however an enemy or two gets to land, we gave the XT-G20 arms that can punch or grasp into things. The XT-G20 is a heavy class mech with medium armor and it's only weakness is attacks from behind. It's however exceptional at long range anti air combat. Use your radar and locate the enemy fliers before they get too close. We have sent you 5 XT-G20's to help you in your next mission." -Mech build lab "Alright, let's see what this mech is made of. There is a large swarm headed our way." -Commandant

"Attention mech build lab! We have discovered hidden bruiser potential on the SW-K10 mech. So we switched the arms around to give the sasquatch more brawling power in melee combat. Also we changed the flamer fuel lines higher to give us safer blocking with the flamer arms. The old fuel line system was more powerful but it was prone to getting cut when blocking an attack. The flamer now has a shorter range but melee power is higher. " -Commandant Receiving transmission. "We have received your message and will continue development and upgrade all the existing models with the new changes. Thank you for your feedback, commandant." -Mech build lab
